Well, it seems that Grant’s has proven themselves to be the exact underhanded organization that I’d said they were. According to this Sun Times article, they’d closed their doors on October 8th without notice to it’s customers OR employees… literally leaving those who paid for appliances(they haven’t received) standing at their locked doors with no explantion whatsoever. I hope these stranded customers get either the products they’d purchased or at least their money returned. If not, then I hope the owner gets what HE deserves, instead.

* HORRIBLESERVICE. I have been buying my appliances from Grants for the last 12 years. I try to buy locally as to invest in my own community until now. Made a large purchase the beginning of July and was told that everything was in and I would recieve it in one week. They delivered half my purchase, damaged my door way and lied about the missing half being in the warehouse. I was bounced around with promises and getting some money off for my inconvenience… The managers there had no intention on making it right. Waited for two months for the other half of my delivery and I had to pick up my item so that I could get it quicker when it got there after the manager promised to take it to my house several blocks away from the store. My 9 year old son and I had to drag it into the house ourselves. Now I am waiting on the promised«discount» for my inconvenience and it’s yet to be resolved. The managers and the sales guys are treating me like I got the items for free or am asking for a hand out when I spent over $ 2000 on this purchase. They are arrogant and lie to cover each other. I will NEVER buy from this outfit again and I will also tell my friends, clients and family not to buy so that they don’t go through the same nightmare that I am still in. Still waiting for the discount I was promised. Who knows, maybe it’s in the«mail»! STAYAWAYFROMTHISSTORE… THEYLIE, DON’T APPEARTOTHINKTHATWOMENAREWORTHTHEIRTIMEANDDON’T BOTHERCALLINGYOUBACK!

I have purchased a number of appliances from Grants over the years, and definitely will not return. My 2010 purchase of KitchenAid range, microwave, and dishwasher was a terrible experience. The quality is very poor from this manufacturer! The service from Grants was not any better. My range did not work from the delivery date, and it took 3 visits from A&E(and lots of part shipments) for the repair tech to find that a wiring harness was not connected internally. The dishwasher rack rusted out in the first year due to exposed, uncoated portion, metal. The service after the sale is what prevents me from returning.
