Perhaps the best bar I have ever been to. Love that country music and that feisty bartender, damn shes nice.

I was happy to find this place open on Thanksgiving. I looked forward to football with a friend, food and of course beer. I was also excited to find the establishment on . I purchased a gift certificate to use. The bartender told me that the certificate could not be used toward the purchase of alcohol. There was no disclaimer stating this when I made the purchase. The bartender was not helpful at all. Nor did she even ask if we wanted anything from the kitchen. She passed us by while we sat at the bar trying to get her attention several times. I won’t be going back.

The house wings are great! Service is better since they fired some of the previous poor service.

The building was built in 1937, it started off as a barn and soon was stripped of the farm animals for a more entertainment selection of business. The current owner has tried his best to change the bar from a history of bar fights and disorderly conduct to one of a family atmosphere. With the place open at 11AM each day lunch is served with a large selection to feed business travelers and construction workers with the military finding the chow much better then on base. Local entertainment is the key here with anything from Comedian’s during the week to DJ’s on the weekend. Plus an occasional local band playing on Saturday or Friday Night. Parking lot surrounds the building and can handle nearly 170 cars, lighting over head is ample for security after closing hours. A Deck is out back with coverage for those extremely hot days and occasional afternoon shower. A Juke Box and pool table allow music playing during your dining pleasure. I frequent this restaurant.

We were on training at Fort Indowntown Gap. I took my friends out there for a section dinner. It’s a little off the beaten path from«The Gap». The Good — Frog Legs were good. Not overcooked — It was taco night. Tacos were good. — Burgers were good The Bad — Slow service: No tableware(try eating salad wth bare hands?) — Orders were lost or cancelled without our knowledge Ambiance — Local hangout; scruffy guys in ballcaps, girls in t-shirts and daisy dukes. Friend commented that it probably turns into a biker bar at night. Overall It’s a good place to get away from the military crowd at «the Gap» and try something different from the bar menu’s over there. The cook/s seemed overwhelmed. maybe they should reduce their menu to a few things they do well to make it easier.
