Loved this place. Live music and the staff was awesome. We shared the pulled pork sandwich with the garlic fries. We will be back next month. Very open and cozy and décor is perfect. Great feel to it

No house beers on tap, so should be no stars. Brewery seems to have closed.

Julian is a cool little town about an hour from San Diego famous for it’s apples and bakeries. Cool little town with lots of restaurants and shops and the brewery. We sat at the bar and sampled their Cowboy Coffee Stout — excellent beer so had a couple. Nice selection of beers on tap — their own and lots of local craft beers and stuff from further afield. Didn’t eat here so don’t know how the BBQ is but it sure smelled good. Spoke to the brewery for quite awhile — can’t remember his name though. Anyway, if you are in Julian it is worth a visit.

We went here on our journey of beer through San Diego. This place has some great Julian charm and the BBQ smells are unreal. The bar itself has a ton of character and has some pretty cool craft brew tap handles decorating the bar. The beer tasters are only $ 2 and they are HUGE! As in they are really huge! We decided to split a flight of the 5 Julian beers on tap. They were pretty good and had the typical IPA, Saison, Pale Ale, Coffee Stout, etc. I am not normally a fan of stouts but this was a magical drink that actually had me thinking more about coffee than beer– in a good way, is that strange? The only thing that was a bit of a bummer was this really had the feeling of a bbq place/bar and not really a brewery feel. Also, we really didn’t know we were even walking into the correct location until we saw a white board on the back of the bar that said«Home to Julian Brewing Company.» Obviously this is a very large tourist area but it would be nice to experience the brewery feel as they are really great beers.

As part of Bailey BBQ, this is a match made in country style heaven! While Bailey kicks out some great BBQ, Julian brewing supplies the cool brews. I had the IPA and the Chronic Amber lager. Both were great, but the Chronic really stood out with some great malty sweetness, and a clean finish. Really went well with the BBQ. Keep it up yall!
