I had a nice experience here. I was promptly greeted and seated, and let my server know that I was somewhat in a rush and she promptly took my order and got it out to me in near perfect timing. I ordered the scallops and it was cooked to perfection. Lightly seared, soft, chewy, perfectly cooked and not overdone. The white wine sauce that it was served with complimented the dish nicely and went well with my glass of Chardonnay. The interior is slightly dated but it does have an Italian bistro feel. The only thing I was put off by was that the butter was served in an individual prepackaged foil wrapper.

The service was great and the food came out quick. Chicken Parmigiana along with the Pasta was amazing. Highly recommend

In Kahului for an abbreviated visit with family. It was convenient — so despite the poor reviews, we tried Marco’s. Gluten free pasta and lots of it(not stingy with their portion sizes)! The Pasta & Basil had lots of yummy, fresh vegetables. Rich feta and quality, fragrant olives made the dish. Service was professional, friendly, and efficient(Saturday night). Waited for a table — as soon as a table opened, we were seated promptly. The host(wonder if it was Marco?) was full of life and made us feel as if we were being welcomed into his home. Restaurant was clean and well taken care of. If I lived in Kahului, I’d visit again! We went back for breakfast the next morning — veggie omelette was fluffy and full of interesting veggies. Plate was not overloaded with [herbed] potatoes. I prefer my plate not be packed with filler, so I felt like the potato portion size was just right. The coffee was rich and yummy.

If I could give negative stars I would. Not only is every item on here extremely overpriced but the restaurant nickel and dimes you at every turn. Just a few examples are that there are no refills on soda, to substitute anything it was an extra $ 4.5, to add cheese on a burger it’s an extra $ 3 on the already $ 15 burger, and add an extra $ 6 to add chicken or any meat to the already 20 something $ pasta. The food was also so horrible my fiancé’s exact words where«I hope they roofied my drink so I could forget this meal.» My meal came out(crab mac n cheese) and my brother claimed it was«an ice cream scoop» it was so small. All in all the worst place I have yet to eat in Maui…

When you are in town(Kahului), there aren’t many choices of restaurants to eat at. We decided to try Marco’s Grill & Deli for lunch. Haven’t been here for years and years. They are conveniently located on the corner of Dairy Road and Hana Hwy, you cannot miss it. Plenty of parking in the front. The décor inside was simple and nice. I think we were a little bit under-dressed, but no one seemed to mind. It wasn’t busy and we got seated right away. Menu had a lot to choose from and couldn’t decide what we wanted. Finally decided on getting the Pasta and Basil, Steak Sandwich, Pastrami Sandwich, and the Meatball with Linguine. Food came pretty quickly. I would recommend the Pasta and Basil because it came with a lot of pasta and veggies. At first I thought that there wasn’t enough toppings on the penne pasta, but to my surprise there were toppings also mixed into the pasta! That was a nice surprise. haha. Pastrami sandwich contained good pieces of pastrami, so that when you bite into the sandwich the whole thing didn’t fall out. The Steak sandwich was a bit pricey($ 29), but it comes with a whole piece of steak in between two pieces of bread. Definitely have to use your fork and knife. The Meatball with Linguine was okay, nothing spectacular. Overall, pretty good American/Italian restaurant. Our waitress was friendly. The prices were a little steep for lunch, but they give a lot of pasta.

We were greeted by a guy who, maybe it was my imagination, flinched and barely got out«how many?» He just turned and gave us a table by the kitchen entrance and restrooms and right by the host stand — didn’t bother to see if there were any inside the restaurant. Too nice to be mean. Sat there perusing the menu, thinking«are you kidding me? $ 45.00 for steak?» The boys had shrimp scampi, I had chicken parmesan. The wait for water was decent, although, when the server came back with the soda, she almost spilled some on me. Bread took a little longer. Finally, food — the chicken looked big but it wasn’t, it was pounded so thin, barely any meat. Chicken katsu at any take out place had more than what I ate and it cost me $ 19, the katsu — $ 9. The scampi sauce was watered down and half decent. The boys were disappointed and said that a take out place on Oahu had better scampi. Oh and the server said«we’re running low on parmesan, let me hunt one down.» Hello? She was at the table at least 4 times before the entrees were served. For the price I expected fresh grated parmesan not the type found in pizza joints. Server came around once during the meal, asked how it was and refilled waters. No wait, refilled one out of two glasses. Lucky for them, my son was focused on his soda — I switched my empty glass for his still full one. Btw, before anyone came to the table, I decided to check out their reviews(wish I did it prior to walking in). Advice? Save your money, this fiasco cost $ 78 with tip.

Nice atmosphere. That’s about it. Stopped here for a bite before our flight. Service is slow and vacant. Food was both bland and over salted. I was nauseous after the French onion soup. Way too expensive for the quality. We came because we thought with prices like that, food would be good, but it’s was nasty. Rather eat at a dive bar. Not coming back, that’s for sure. Ok, had to change the rating to 1 star. 1 hr later and we are nauseous still. Did they use all the salt on the island? I can taste were the salt has burned my tongue. I don’t know how they are still in business. We should have asked for money back. Next time when we’re in Maui, we will NOT be stopping here. There is no need to pay $ 50 for stomach illness. FOOD: is American and Italian so don’t come here for any authentic Hawaiian food. This has a old diner feel to it in the 80s with the black and white booths. For breakfast hours it’s breakfast and cold sandwiches only. Steak and eggs were a hit at our table with a huge portion. Club sandwich was huge. My breakfast was okay the eggs are from a carton and the Portuguese sausage were smaller than I thought they’d be, but other than that tasted good. BATHROOMS: one room bathrooms one for women one for men. OVERALL: just okay seemed kinda boring in here maybe because it was early morning all other customers seemed very quiet. Next time we will opt to drive to Zippys for some Hawaiian breakfast and save money too. No complaints about the server he did his job and split checks in four for our table of eight

CHARGEFORREFILLSWITHOUTTELLINGYOU! OVERPRICED! $ 21 for a Reuben sandwich that isn’t amazing. At least give free refills if you charge that much for a sub par sandwich. Disappointed in our last meal in Maui

Cons: a bit pricey for the type of food, no French toast breakfast meal, and no substations for the breakfasts that come with one pancake. I really wanted french toast but not for $ 12(not including eggs, etc). Pros: food tasted better than it looked. Seasoned well. Great service and nice server(Linda). Checked on us often. Nice ambiance. Great Lava Flow cocktail too. I was prepared to be disappointed due to the reviews… but I was pleasantly surprised.

Food was good, service was not bad but pretty slow. One meal didn’t come out with the others and we waited quite awhile before the waiter apologized and said the order had gotten separated when he had to check back with us about a question. It was nice that he just was straight up though rather than trying to shift the blame(always awkward as a customer!) Plus, I’m fairly certain our waiter was actually the bartender filling in for someone else. We all went with pretty«boring» dishes, but they were all awesome! I got the penne pesto which was packed with fresh basil and obviously made fresh. My husband got the alfredo which was the best I’ve ever tasted. He said he never got«bored» of it as can often happen with pasta. My aunt got the sausage with linguine. I didn’t try it at all, but they both really liked it. We also started with the spinach artichoke dip. It was delicious, but I wouldn’t get it again. It was pretty small, especially for the price.

Marcos Grill and Deli located in Kahului. About 5 minutes from the airport so its very helpful if you are catching a flight and want a nice meal. I like the interior inside black and white so stylish. The food can be pricey so dont grumble about it just enjoy a nice meal. Majority of the servers are very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. It can get busy on certain days at certain hours but i think thats good for the business. Shows that the business is doing well… I like to get the shrimp scampi on a bed of noddles. OMGEEEEE its to die for so ONO(delicious) and add mushrooms for $ 4 more.

Large servings! Cobb salad was very good. Club sandwich was delicious. The bread was so yummy and toasted perfectly. They happily made my wedge salad just the way I liked it even though it differed from their menu. The server was delightful. A great find in Kahului!
