Funnel cakes! Holy moly so good! What a treat! Friendly and helpful employees, very clean, looked like a brand new store. The young man working was very polite. Sis got a New York Cheesecake royal blizzard, I got the hot fudge funnel cake. Brings back carnival memories :)

They’re located in Kona Commons and I believe that they’re the only dessert place in the area – well, besides the desserts from McDonalds across the street.
Anyways? Dairy Queen/Orange Julius have great blizzards. I like to order their cookie dough one and I just love it when they turn it upside down lol. When they turn it upside down, it’s weirdly so exciting to me haha.
I also love their original Orange Julius drink too. It’s a really great twist on orange juice and a sweet treat that’ll cool you down.
I don’t usually order «real food» from them, but I actually really do like their hot dogs. I don’t think I’ve ever tried one of their birthday cakes before, but I like to stare at their cake designs lol.
Oh and their chocolate dipped cone is super good too! McDonalds does offer a good knock-off of this, but I like the chocolate shells from Dairy Queen much better.

While visiting muggy, muggy, sticky, muggy Kona, I was thrilled to see a DQ. Like a mirage in the lava rock desert.
They’re located in the Kona Commons, a newer mall between Kona Airport and Kailua Kona town. The store was clean, and service was friendly and fast.
DESSERT:
Oreo Waffle Cone Blizzard — $ 4.89 — Mmm, mmm, mmm good and so much better in a creamy, crunchy waffle cone! Clean and very easy to eat because it came in a plastic holder.

I always get Banana Cream Pie blizzard at Dairy Queen — it’s my favorite! The staff here was extremely friendly, efficient, and accurate. I arrived around 7:30 p.m. on a Wednesday night, so there was no line and we were helped immediately.
I am not sure why this location has such a poor rating. I’ve been to many Dairy Queens (always ordering the same thing) and the quality of ice cream is consistent with the rest. Additionally, the kind staff were much better than average.

I took some out of town friends for lunch and ice cream. We were greeted with smiles from the three young men attending the store. The food was delivered fast and hot. I noticed the men kept busy cleaning the ice cream machines and the windows. I was impressed to see that they washed their hands! The manager was not in so I told them that they were doing a great job and to keep up the good work. :)

Maybe one of the worst Dairy Queens in America. Out of all but one of the candy mixes for Blizzards. Out of many of the other choices. For three weeks. Claims supply problems but can’t you just go to Costco and buy some Butterfinger bars and smash them yourself. No supplies for three weeks? Makes you wonder if soon go outta bidness.
