Stopped by here recently on a weekend trip. Did not meet CJ but Nick(co-owner) was present and he was the only one working the floor. As soon as we stepped into the store and started browsing the photos, Nick started bragging around his photos, his methods, and how he was recently on The Today Show. When we started asking him questions about his methods(specifically how he dove to take photos of the lava), he started to make comments insinuating my questions were silly and/or stupid. He went so far as to insinuate that, because I live in Honolulu, I should know some of these things. He justified his comments with, «No offense, it’s just general knowledge, nothing personal.» I was so insulted and angry, I stood by the door, waiting for my husband. When Nick started talking to me again, he realized I was angry and apologized. However, nothing he could have said at that point would have reversed the damage. The most stupid part? Their work is quite good. If I had had my wits about me more and not been so shocked/angry about the way I was treated, I would have asked him«Do you always treat your potential customers this way?» The problem? He saw nothing wrong with his arrogant, insulting behaviors. Bottom line, while their work is innovative, their treatment of customers is not. Buy elsewhere.
