Typical Asian food, nothing too special. The prices were very reasonable though, and the service was quick.

Solid fast casual Asian style bistro. We went for lunch. The soup was excellent(comes with the lunch specials). I ordered the orange chicken, it had a light, delightful batter and a nice sauce. Pros: soup, orange chicken Cons: hard parking Would eat here again.

Being in the restaurant industry myself for longer than I want to admit I don’t have to be a previous customer to know a good place and this place is Fantastic! i don’t deduct points for simple small things ie missing silverware, late refills, sometimes things like this happen. I’ve seen less whining in Beverly Hills. What I can and will say is the food was great, the service was attentive and my overall experience even if i waited a little, on both my visits, day and night small group then large was Stellar 5***** stars Support your local businesses before they all disappear

We arrived at 6 pm and the restaurant quickly became busy. Service never suffered. The food was some of the best Thai food I’ve eaten. I would give this establishment a 5 star for food and 5 for service. 4 star for bldg as you have to go through kitchen to get to restrooms.

Rather disappointed with Lemongrass after going with the recommendation of a co-worker. The place is nice, and convenient to downtown, it was clean and we were served quickly(only couple there at the time). We ordered the Kung Pao and Pad Thai here to get a feel for it and see if we wanted more. We were not asked how spicy we wanted either, which was immediately a bad sign for us. The Kung Pao, which should traditionally be a somewhat spicy dish by default, was less spicy than wheat bread and very lackluster. The sauce was thin and missing flavor, the dish was a smaller portion, and the veggies clumsily cut.(Huge chunks of onion that didn’t get rendered down to an enjoyable point.) The Pad Thai was equally as upsetting, just very boring to eat and noodles were too thin. We quietly just finished our food and left because we were too hungry, but I wouldn’t even give it another thought nor recommend it to anyone. Right up the road is Laddawan’s Phuket Monkey Thai Cuisine, where you can actually enjoy some real food.

What a great place. We started with the Vegetable Tempura… very good. The vegetables were battered perfectly and the texture of the vegetables were great. We ordered Pad Thai and Orange Chicken. The Pad Thai comes with chicken and shrimp. It was excellent and very flavorful and cooked to perfection. The Orange Chicken(wasn’t on the menu but they make it) very flavorful and the batter was excellent not too heavy. Hats off to the Chef tonight. She was non stop and our meal was cooked to perfection. Definitely will come back.

Came in half hour before closing. Took out seats, ordered, and food came out quick. Mahi mahi my mom liked and felt everything was just right. Summer salad roll and green papaya salad I had and was alright. The prawns for the salad felt a bit mushy. The salad roll ended up being really messy cause there was too much sauce and the rice paper was a bit thicker than I’m used to. I liked the avocado being in there though. To get to the bathroom, need to walk through the kitchen and grab a key off the wall. Not exactly the cleanest. Service was good overall. Seating comfortable outside on the patio.

Best Thai/Asian food. Much much better than the over priced, bad quality food you get on the sea facing restaurants on Ali’i drive.

They have definitely gone downhill over the last year after switching up the menu! Dishes we loved dissapeared, and old favorites that remained lost their magic and the portion size shrank alot! The different meats in the dishes have definitely been reduced and replaced with more cheap filler veggies consistently for us. I notice patterns easily and the shrinking amounts of meat is no accident The total of meat was insulting for the price, and the entire dish was barely enough for 2 small servings. We used to be able to have 3 good sized servings before guaranteed! Bummer :( I hope Lemongrass can fix things back to how they used to be. My family, and friends really used to like this place in years past. The last 3 times in were mediocre at best for everyone ! Locals notice when a good restaurant goes downhill… Hopefully things turn around and start going up all around or we wont be back! I wish I was writing a follow up review that was up to par of my previous one when all was well. Bummer :(

My husband, friends and I shared the fried taro ice cream, honeydew ice cream and banana lumpia and we all thought it was delicious. The honeydew ice cream was my favorite and was probably the most interesting. I opted for the crispy duck and was satisfied with it and sampled the following from my friends and husband’s plate: eggplant dish, udon dish, salmon and mahi mahi. The mahi-mahi was much more enjoyable than the overcooked salmon and the eggplant was tasty. Overall, it was either a hit or a miss.

I love this place! it’s easy going, the service is on spot and the food is gooood! I have to mention the phở soup is the shizzzz, it’s nicely spiced! There is the right amount of noodles, meatballs, rare beef, and braised beef(I swear there is a hint of coffee in the braised beef but I dunno) And it’s only 10 $! There deserts are tasty and they are consistent with there food quality and service and ya this restaurant is a good one so try it out !!

Dined here for the first and probably last time. Entrée was underwhelming. Ordered the crispy duck with lava sauce. How can something overcooked(gray and rubbery under a tempura-like breading) be served lukewarm? It was plated on a bed of lettuce with some grated carrot and cucumber slices, and a side of white rice. The lava sauce was disappointing. It tasted like bottled Yoshida’s teriyaki sauce mixed with a couple of squirts of Sriracha. That said, their edamame was tasty and the margarita refreshing — items on their Happy Hour menu. Sorry, guys, but your duck — at $ 18 — fell short.

This is the perfect place to enjoy a flavorful meal. It is located in a little shopping area next to other eateries, & although it blends in, the taste stands above the rest. It has indoor and outdoor seating, but the outer seating is actually cooled and shaded. It is definitely a place we would have come to more often if we had known how good it was. The flavors were bold and fresh & they have plenty of vegetarian options. :)

It’s a rainy day in Kona so I crave for some soup. I pull up my handy dandy Unilocal for suggestions in the area. I am glad I tried this place. I walked in to 2 very smiley and happy people welcoming me. It’s a cute and clean place with a few tables. Let’s start with the seafood salad. This was just okay. A little bland even with the dressing. The braised beef soup is aromatic and rich. I couldn’t get enough of it. I will be back to try some other things on their menu.

Were on our way to a nearby place and decided to stop by here because of the high ratings. Friendly customer service :) As for the food, we ordered two items for dinner — the Japanese curry with short rib and the pineapple shrimp fried rice. The curry was gone in 5 mins — so so so good. The meat was so tender and the curry was flavored to perfection. I wouldn’t get the pineapple fried rice again. We really wanted to get the taro ice cream with Hawaiian sweet bread — does that not sound delicious? — but were running late. Overall, everything coming out of the kitchen smelled good and ld come back to try something else in the future.

2.5 stars. We were in the mood for Asian noodle soup and this place came up on Unilocal. It’s an Asian fusion type place that’s in the same plaza as a Japanese restaurant, a pizza place, and Umeke’s. When we came to eat, there was no one eating inside and there was one party eating outside. We chose to eat outside too since it was a nice evening. The menu is pretty extensive with a lot of options: appetizers, salads, soups, noodle dishes, noodle soups, entrees(like pad thai, bbq short ribs, and stir fry), curries, and dessert. We ordered the phở and the braised oxtail udon noodle soup. The food kind of took awhile to come out even though it wasn’t busy at all. The phở was okay — but I also think that even though this is an Asian fusion place, it’s more heavy on the Thai side, so I don’t think phở is their specialty. The oxtail soup was actually pretty good. The oxtail was really tender and yummy and it went well with the udon noodles. It came with veggies and mushrooms. Overall, food was okay, but the service was just meh. They brought us water in the beginning. But they never gave us silverware. We had to ask for it after they brought us our food. The server came out to check on us once, but they never refilled our water. And then while we were eating, they started stacking up the chairs in the outdoor seating area where we were, to start closing up. It was really disruptive and loud and kind of rude.

We came here because of the Unilocal reviews. Personally, I’ve had much better Thai food. First, the restaurant was too hot. This was on an evening in August, and instead of using AC they just opened a door. I don’t need AC blasting, but it was uncomfortable.(and this is coming from someone who is always cold!) Service was not attentive, it was very hard to get anyone’s attention and everything seemed kind of slow. Personally, I would rather just eat at one of the touristy places on the ocean. It’s easier to find and in our case closer, you get a view, and the service and food is much better.

Pork Belly Entrée: Crunch crispy skin but otherwise, pork too greasy and oily. Dish could use more flavors and seasoning overall. Fried ice cream taro: Very interesting! Not fantastic as the dough makes it very thick but creative concept and unique taste. Curry Chicken Rice : Tasty! Highlight of our dinner! Overall, restaurant was clean and close to our hotel and was opened late. But food was mediocre for the most part and I would not go out of my way to return.

I would have given them 3 stars for average. I deducted 1 extra star because we ordered the oxtail soup and they gave us the short ribs. The food was ok. We tried it because they had good reviews on Unilocal. The service was slow because there aren’t enough people helping. That I don’t mind I completely understand. The flavor of the food was average. When we told them they gave us the wrong soup, the guy took awhile and didn’t say anything. We told the girl once we were able to get a hold of her. She looked at us as if we were the one that made the mistake. We purposely wanted to try the oxtail that’s why we went there. She finally offered to bring us the oxtail but honestly I didn’t want to wait any longer and in the hot a$$ place. It was really hot in there. We ate what was there. It was ok. The bill was expensive and I wouldn’t go back.
