When you order a take-out at this place make sure you check your paper bag. Twice in a row items were missing from my order and only found it out after going back to my office. Once is a mistake, twice is a deliberate thing. My employees designate a McDonald’s day every month, I buy them lunch. I think we will switch to Burger King Day.

Lori and her staff work so hard to ensure quality food and great personal service. I’m not from Big Island but ws treated like a longtime friend and the smiles were endless. Sorry to read so many complaints Ive been coming for a week and my only complaint is they close early.

Went to this McDonalds for a 72 cent cone and the drive thru line was very long. When I finally got up to order they said the machine was not working. There was a sign that the carbonated beverages were not available but nothing about the cones. I asked to speak to the manager and she apologized and I told her that her apology was accepted but she needed some kind of signage put out to let people know so they wouldn’t have to wait in the long line to find out they didn’t have what they wanted. Then the cashier spoke up and told me to «go home howlie» and then she told me that is why«howlies like me go missing in Hawaii». I was very sensitive to that as a woman in my condo complex went missing this week and was found dead in a river. In my business if one of my employees aid anything close to that they would have been fired on the spot. She has a job because us «howlies» pay for services.

Reminds me of a ghetto version of McDonald’s. The cashier talks to you in English-Hawaiian slang so you have a hatd time hearing her. They are strict with refills here like you must dine-in in order to get refills but this place gets crowded during the weekends so it gets hard to enforce those rules. Restaurant and restrooms need to be cleaned. It seems like they dont really clean it. Food is straightforward, cant say much.

Only came here because they got Hawaiian cheap breakfast! Portuguese sausages and Spam! I don’t usually eat those two items but I let myself loose because I’m on vacation! I grew tiresome of pancakes and basic items like eggs and bacon and toast which I can get back at home. If you have any sort of loyalty to McDs, you got to get their breakfast in Hawaii! I opted out on the rice though cause I try to avoid consuming too much carbs when I can and also the fact of eating steamed rice in the morning just didn’t feel right.

Came here for some breakfast. Parking is available in a small lot around the building. Hawaiian McDonald’s are unique as they have several items simply not found anywhere else, such as the Spam and Eggs breakfast. This location also had saimin though? Really? Gotta try it. If you ever wondered what McDonald’s Japanese noodles would taste like, here it is. It even comes with a strip of seaweed and some fish cake. The presentation is definitely not the same as a high-end ramen shop, but I’m still scratching my head at how Mickey D’s can pull this off. The custom McDonald’s Hawaii ramen container was also amusing to look at. Kinda wish I had brought this home with me.

It’s McDonalds… in Hawaii! Mostly the same menu but there are a few differences like the saimen and spam on your breakfast plate. And coconut apple pies or something like that. 1 for $ 1, not like in LA2 for $ 1 though. Saimen is ok for fast food I guess.

Helllo!!! Cheap food on Hawaii! This was located in the perfect spot for us. We arrived in Kona at around 9pm and were starving. Stopped in under the golden arches for some quick food. Average quaility on food. Service seemed a little slow, however, we were tired and really hungry so service might have been just right.

As far as McDonald’s goes, this is a normal one. I can’t exactly compare this to a restaurant but 1 – 5 on a McDonald’s scale, this one is a-ok. Its one of the only things open past 10 in kona and we were hungry so we went to raid their dollar menu!

I’m generally not a huge fan on fast food but the Hawaiian McDonald’s have a special desert you should try… its like the famous fried apple-pie tube but with a coconut custard filling. Good stuff!

Haupia and Taro Pies! :) Yummy! Also, spam and rice for breakfast(even though I didn’t have any this trip, it’s just nice to see on the menu).

Mc Donalds to me can never score above a 3 star rating. That being said, went here for some spam, rice, and eggs breakfast platter. Yes they have it. Also a Rice, egg, and Portuguese sausage platter. Stick with the spam as the sausage one doesn’t have that much meat. WHERESTHEBEEF! LOL.

Coming from the mainland, I had to hit up a McDonald’s in Hawaii. Why? Well, they serve spam! I ordered the breakfast platter with spam, rice, and eggs along with a Kona coffee. I didn’t eat the eggs because I don’t like eggs, but the combo of rice and spam totally hit the spot. I also really liked that I was able to get a good cup of Kona coffee too. Otherwise, it’s your average McDonald’s. Service was fast, it was cheap, and the ambiance was blah.

My husband and I went through their drive-thru last night for a late dinner. We got a filet-o-fish combo and a vanilla ice cream cone. We actually got through this drive-thru pretty quickly, but they almost sent us off without our ice cream cone. All in all it was a decent experience, basically what you would expect from a McDonald’s drive-thru. Food: *** Service: ** Ambiance: ** Value: ***
