A nice personal atmosphere, with enough ambience on a busy day to keep from being isolated. Service is consistent, numerous people were making sure we had a good time. Brilliant pizza, not your standard American fare. The margherita specialty pizza was absolutely fantastic. It has the perfect blend of flavors between the cheeses and tomato and oils. The cheese steak pizza isn’t great; it is reminiscent of a cheese steak, but just didn’t have a compelling flavor. Especially compared to the margherita pizza. Also, the seats were quite vertical and my back was sore soon after sitting down, partly due to my day of sitting on bleachers, but not exemplary in comfort for sure. Finally, you must try an order of zeppoles. They’re described as fried dough balls coated in sugar, but the flavor and consistency of the bread itself gives a remarkable depth to the simple dessert. The sauces served with it are somethings I’ve never tasted before but would eagerly try again, with or without sugary bread balls.

Tried it once, will definitely give it another chance. This is mom and pop with the recipes coming over from Italy. We had their brick oven pizza. It was very good, but their prices are so high. I’m used to paying a lot for a tab, but that includes drinks, appetizers, and dessert. We paid almost $ 70 for two drinks, and two small pizzas because of how the toppings are priced. I know a lot of love goes into brick oven pizza but this is pretty pricey, especially for the location they’re in. Also the majority of the employees honestly looked like they were 12 or 13. We were shocked when we kept seeing them walking around and wondered how old they were. Short and sweet: Food was great, but expensive. Will try it again.

We’ve driven by Chiusano’s a few times when going to the Legends. We decided to stop in recently. The décor is super nice. Booths are very quiet and private, but a bit tight. We couldn’t decide on the appetizer, so we ordered the sampler. The sampler comes with garlic knots, mozzarella sticks, fried ravioli, and chicken wings. My wife and I are not really chicken wing people, so we were a bit apprehensive on those. Turns out, they were great! We got the cranberry chipotle wings and they were our second favorite thing on the sampler, behind only the mozzarella sticks. The menu for the pizza is very interesting, with a mix of expected pizza toppings and some interesting things like elk sausage and brie. They do have a build-your-own option, but they do allow some customization on their specialty pizzas, so we suggest going that route. I got a Meatluvr and my wife got a Speedway, minus the onions. Being cooked in a brick oven, they cook fast and have a nice crispness to the edges. They are served on very hot plates, so be careful. The pizza was really tasty. The crust is a bit thin in the middle and doesn’t really support the toppings very well, but that’s fine. The New York style fold over is the way to go to eat these unless you are a knife and fork person. Lastly, our Unilocal check-in got us a free zeppole dessert, fried Italian donuts covered in powdered sugar and served with chocolate and homemade caramel for dipping. The caramel was the better dipping sauce, by far. Very sweet. We had a good meal. The service was really good. They do have more than just pizza on the menu, so we will certainly revisit in the future.

This isn’t about pizza as I enjoyed a Chicken Parmesan sandwich. Not totally Italian style but a great value. I came in early so the place was nearly empty and service was not a problem. The menu looks great for pizza lovers and large groups. Just the sandwich with fries required a take out container. There is a great selection of beers and I asked for a local brew and KC Brew fit the mug perfect. Conveniently located in Legends Outlets near the Speedway the area is great to browse. If I ever return to KC I would like to try this place a rowdy group with some large pies and brews.

Every time we’ve been here the pizza has been excellent and the Stella Artois has been fresh on the tap. Service staff has always been attentive and friendly. The pizza is thin crust and they have gourmand combos. I like the T-bone and the Chiefs. They were even willing to put PGA Golf on one of the TVs.

i ordered a 9″ pizza and it was very soggy. it had red sauce, feta cheese & gyro lamb topping. hardly any meat on it. the kids meals was decent, well my kids likes the kids cheese pizza and it actually taste better than my gyro lamb pizza. my kids also ordered alfredo pasta and it was decent too. maybe we shouldve ordered kids meals for ourselves instead! what a waste of time and money!

My son and I ordered individual sizes… I got the Greek Gyro and he got the Buffalo Chicken. Both were really good, crust was done just right and just the right amount of ingredients so as not to weigh down the crust, but did not leave you wanting on any bite. We will go back… service was great… restaurant was about 70% full…3’ish on Saturday afternoon… music good, not too soft or loud, restrooms über clean… manager also came by to ask how we liked it… two thumbs up!

Great pizza. We really enjoyed this place. It was our first visit & we’ll be coming back. The pizza was tasty & the garlic knots were awesome. The kids ate it too & loved it, which is kind of hard to accomplish. They’re shooting for a fun atmosphere which they pull off & almost all of the seating are in booths which is classy. I would recommend this place and take friends to.

So I was not impressed with the pizza all I taste in the traditional was olives the cheese not flavorful the crust was ok. The calamari was ok but the dipping sauce left much to be desired. My waitress was too busy even though they were not that busy. I definitely will NOT return.

Stopped in here for some brick oven pizza. Was surprised how fast it came out! We got the 16″ pie half buffalo chicken half BBQ chicken. It was like real New York style pizza and the crust was a lovely treat at the end! Can’t recommend this place enough for the pizza, fastness, and friendly staff.

Was on our way through KC and stopped for some lunch. Sign of the door said looking for cooks but we through caution to the wind and went anyway. Really wanted a good brick oven pizza experience. We started off with the Antipasta Bread. We both liked it. Had a good flavor and nice sauce to dip in. So good marks on the app. Excited we ordered a 16 inch split with half Roberto’s and half traditional with a customization of hold the onions. We waited about 20 and our server came out to let us know that our pizza order was messed up and had to be remade«on the fly». Then went to the next table over and told them the same thing with a commend of «not sure what is up with the kitchen today». Alarms are going off left and right by this point. 10 minutes later our pizza shows up. Looks good but as soon as we pull a slice its obviously super soggy. Crud. We tried and ended up leaving pizza behind. Would have complained but time was already not on our side and just didn’t feel like giving them another try. Really hope they get some good pizza cooks but until then I’ll be happier with some basic delivery pie.

Was not impressed. Chicken seemed like it was pre cooked and rubbery. Asked if it was prepared here. She said every thing was from scratch. I’m calling BS. I will never return!

My boyfriend and I went there tonight, and we will not be returning. Our server was MIA during our time. We were there for a much longer than planned. The pizza was greasy and made my boyfriend really sick, still is. I wish we had the opportunity to speak with a manager, but no one seemed in charge. Basically I’m out the money and sick.

We tried out Chiusano’s on a whim because nothing else sounded good in the area and we’d never tried this place out. We ordered a few different pizzas, and to our delight they were pretty okay. Some reviewers have complained that the pizza is thin and flimsy and hard to eat. Okay, so I noticed the ultra flimsy thinness as well, but our attentive waitress noticed my expression and she quickly came over explained that these are oven baked thin crust and they are MEANT to be folded in half and eaten! Ahhhhh… I got it now. After that little tidbit of advice, eating a Chiusano’s slice was a breeze. Weirder, but easier. A few weeks later it was our middle kids birthday and she asked to come back here for our traditional«family birthday» dinner. I guess she liked it a lot! The kids get their choice for bday dinners, so we reserved a table for 20 and arrived with our table ready for us. We ordered several different pizzas and a variety of toppings. All in all, everything was okay. Our waitress was over sharing her personal life with us, but I actually enjoyed talking with her and giving her some motherly advice. ;) She brought out a big bag(literally served in a brown paper sack) of hot and sugary Italian donuts for my daughter, which she loved! We ordered them for the rest of us too. I’m not super crazy about the atmosphere, in the former Ted’s Montana Grill space which shuttered a few years ago. I guess Ted Turner loves 20 foot plus ceilings and dark furniture and dark everything! This place would be so much more welcoming with some lighter colors and not such a dark and drab interior. Amazing what a can or ten of good paint will do!

Stopped back into Chiusano’s last night after finishing a little holiday shopping at the Legend’s. It was pretty calm when we walked in, yet it was a Thursday evening and even the Legend’s weren’t overly busy. We were a fan of the pizza last time and I have to say, this time was just as good. We got the Traditional Combo that’s more like a «supreme» wherever else you’d go. It has the thinner hand tossed crust that you can fold in half and enjoy like a New York slice. The portions here are massive! The side salad we started with had crisp lettuce and homemade croutons(uh, yum!) and their dressings are delish as well. I found out last night that the owner has opened various restaurants over his career and this was his first real shot at a pizza place. I think it’s a great place to get a pie and the beer was cold. The boyfriend always wants to stop here when we’re out at the Legend’s and I’m a big fan of this place too. I can’t say give it a 5 because I can see where some people don’t like the type of pizza that’s served but I really dig it. If you haven’t come here, check it out. We sat at the bar and had awesome service all night long. A guy stopped by that was staying at the Great Wolf Lodge with his wife and kiddos and picked up a pizza for take-out so this is a GREAT option if you’re staying close! :)
