You know when you get yo wig snapped and there’s something a little off but you can’t necessarily spell it out?! Or maybe you see something but you figure it’s not a big deal?! Worry no more…
Hannah is in my opinion a near perfect hair architect. She will work that fade to look seamless from bottom to top. She’s not a rusher nor does she take for-​ev-​er. Personality is friendly and genuinely happy you came in, but not so bubbly you’d wish you had ear plugs. Approachable and not bitchy… So feel free to tell her about something you’d like to have done that she might not see… Cuz let’s be honest… We are all our own worst hair critics. She is serious about your cut, but feel free to ask about her next cosplay. (Not to be confused with hentai you sick fawks).

I’ve been going to chop tops for a couple years now, and it’s the best hair cutting experience in the city. Friendly staff. Good music. A complimentary drink. And don’t get me started on the hot towel and straight blade neck trim. Go here for all your hair styling needs. Do it.

Chop Tops in my experience is the best haircut salon in Kansas City. I have been here living two years and have tried many different places, until I gave up and I would just let my hair grow and wait to get my haircut in Spain (my home country). One day I found out about choptops and decided to take the risk and tried it out, and I am so lucky I found them and did it. The staff is very experienced and they know what they are doing. My hair looked magical and I was so happy. I am very picky about who cuts my hair, and they are definitely the ones to do it. They are also very nice and if you are not sure what haircut you want they can advise you and choose what looks best on you. I cant wait to go again!

This used to be my favorite place to get my hair cut, but it has changed a lot in the past year. High rates of turnover turned it from a place that had 4 – 5 stylists I knew and trusted completely into a hit-​or-​miss spot with a new stylist each time.
The atmosphere is cool, but quality of the cut comes first!

I changed to this place after 10 years of going to someone else. It was closer to my house which is very nice. They have good hours and are always very friendly! The place seems to be run very well! I also recommend Kayla… she’s done a great job from the get go! The hot towel neck shave is great too!

This place totally rocks!!! Complimentary wine, beer, or soda. Helpful, and super chill employees. Shoutout to my stylist Erika who is particularly awesome. I brought three pictures, and she really listened to what I wanted, and then she completely nailed it. I love this place, I left feeling like a goddess.

Went to Chop Tops for the 1st time. Maggie cut my hair and I have seriously never had a better cut. I pretty much let her design it… and she did. I have never had my hair cut like that and I love it! She knows what she is doing.

I visited Chop Tops for the first time today to have my hair and my young son’s hair cut. Our stylist was Kayla. At three years old, my son has had some difficulties with getting haircuts elsewhere, but Kayla was so great with him that it ended up being our best experience to date.
Kayla gave me a great haircut and styled my beard perfectly. She also offered a great beard oil that I liked so much I purchased a bottle. She was professional, personable, and efficient. If she is a reflection of the other stylists a Chop Tops, then I would say you cannot go wrong choosing to have your hair cut or your beard trimmed here.
I am delighted to have patronized Chop Tops and will continue to do so in the future.

Love this place — it’s got an old timey feel — from the music to the décor and the hot towel shaves, but definitely a modern, perhaps even hip, attitude. The stylists always rave about the owners and how much they care about the staff and that also scores huge points with me.

I had an appointment scheduled at 11:00 on a Saturday (scheduled 6 weeks in advance for 2 hours for a cut and color) with Maggie. They call me at 9:15 the morning of, to tell me that she wouldn’t be available until 11:45. I tell them that I need 5 minutes to call another place to see if I can get in earlier than that, and they say they have to cancel now if I’m unsure at all, and they cancelled my appointment. Sounds a whole lot like they wanted that time for something else.

I have never been to this shop before but the reviews that I read were all very positive and I was excited to try them out.
Needless to say, my expectations were well met. Marissa was absolutely wonderful with me. She took her time to try and help me figure out what I wanted out of my hair cut and made some recommendations about my cut that I really enjoyed.
Everyone was very warm and welcoming when I arrived for my appointment. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

I have never found a hairstylist that I genuinely enjoy going to. Well I finally found one the beginning of this year, Kayla is AMAZING! If you don’t like the talkative type of stylist she’s the one for you. Her technique is awesome and she has never disappointed me. You are greeted with a warm smile asked if you want anything to drink (water, coke product, beer, wine). The atmosphere is pretty kickass. I highly recommend going here for all your hair needs.

Chop tops is awesome!
I needed to get a clean cut for a wedding, and Molly did an awesome job.
On top of a good haircut, they did an awesome neck shave as well which was new.
Not to mention I am Korean so it’s not easy to find hair dressers that can cut straight black hair, but like I said, Molly did great!
I would recommend this place as a great haircut spot for men!
