I’m only giving them one star bc I have to! Directv seems to add things on your account without your permission. I received an email a week ago saying that the sports channels have been added to my account and that if I didn’t want it I would need to call so I did. Few days later I received my bill and looked at the details of my charges which I rarely do and found that they were charging me for 4 tvs when I only have 3! So I called which was June 15th and after an hour they apologized and said they would credit my account for all the months they have been charging me for it. So today I get an email saying that my order has been confirmed and that I will get a $ 20 credit for the next 24 months so I called bc I never once agreed to signing on with directv for another 24 months. Spoke to customer service about wanting this off my account and never once agreed to this promotion and definitely didn’t want to be under another contract with them! She spoke to her supervisor named Shaun about getting this off my account and I was told there was nothing they could do bc the promotion has already started. Apparently when I called June 15th about them charging me for something they shouldn’t had they apparently got my approval for this promotion which is a lie! So your telling me that this promotion can not be removed from my account 5 days after there was an apparent verbal agreement? They noticed my contract was up and decided upon themselves to add me to this promotion to trap me for another 24 months. I’m still waiting for the supervisor to call me back which I already know he won’t but that’s fine bc I went ahead and filed a complaint with BBB!

Directv is by far the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. DONOT, DONOT sign one of their contracts. They are currently having huge service issues however when you talk to them they say they can’t fix it, they won’t credit your account, and bad then to top it off they say you’re in a contract so oh well! They really are awful. I suggest everyone goes and gets an Apple TV or something that won’t take your money then insult you.

Wow… got randomly charged $ 240 without my permission and was told I still owe another $ 160!!! I had my account canceled in May and now it’s almost September and have tried multiple times to send my cable boxes back but have yet to receive a package box 6PHONECALLSAND4MONTHSLATER! After I said I wanted to resolve these issues before I paid any remaining balance or fees they withdrew $ 240 out of my account while I was at work after I specifically said NO! Terrible customer service, no communication in the company at all and overall a joke of a cable provider! If anyone is even contemplating them for a cable service I would look elsewhere, even a mediocre cable service like dish would be better. Most likely other cable providers wouldn’t randomly steal money out of your account either!

I’ve had DirecTV since I moved to my house in Dec of ’99. I’ve rarely had outages even in this HUGE snownami we had the past week I just had to go brush the snow off my dish(hey, so I have a 1950s house) it’s within reach with a broom :) I get regular discounts for being a loyal customer & they always send me FREE movie coupons. I only use them for tv service. Bundling with two providers isn’t available because I’m already a customer with both the phone company & DirecTV. I’ve heard nothing but nightmares from people that have switched their phone service to one of those cable providers. You know that saying«Why fix something that isn’t broken». I’m good :)
