Really enjoyed our experience at this theater. Yes, it’s an older style but kept that way on purpose. Everything was very clean and the seats were actually quite comfortable(though on the small side). The staff was very friendly and the location(strip mall) felt quaint.

This is my least favorite of the Fine Arts Theater Group’s theaters. They’re really about a 3.25, although I wish I could give them 4 stars. The theaters, like all of the theaters in this group, are definitely old school. No stadium seating, no massive screens, etc. They’ve done a nice job of renovating the interior of the theaters, but the theater we sat in had a blown speaker. You have no idea how annoying that can be. Also, the entry to the theater is just sad. The entire lobby, the hallway leading to the theaters and the bathrooms need a massive overhaul. We recently saw Jodorowsky’s Dune here and we had a choice between going here or to the Olathe AMC30. We certainly saved a lot of $$ by coming to this theater instead of the AMC and parking was definitely more convenient, so I feel that we got our money’s worth, but I would really like to see some improvements in this theater. I’ll continue to pull for the Fine Arts Theater Group’s success as I love that they show lots of independent movies that don’t otherwise get a lot of attention, but it would be great if they made a bit of an investment in this theater so it feels more inviting.

I’m getting into these Art House Theaters and this one is A-OK. As other reviewers have said, it does have that musty smell to it. It almost was a cleaning smell though rather than wet AC being pushed through the building. And I do have to say that it was very clean. I wasn’t really in the mood for full on concessions but a little snack would have been nice. I was pleased as punch to be able to hand over a whole 50 cents for a little bag of Cheez-Its. What a great thing to have!!! They offered lots of different snacks for cheap prices! That I loved! The theater I was in(#4) was very clean, lots of space between the seats, older seats but again, very well maintained. It had the musty smell in there but I got used to it really quickly. There was the typical slant to the floor and just the feel that I remember growing up with, which I really liked. I also appreciate that these sort of theaters collect real movie goers, not teens that won’t put their phone down. The room was maybe half full and you could have heard a pin drop during the film. No one talking, ruffling their popcorn bags, etc. I would like to say that they need an update but sometimes, old charm grows on you. Why change everything these days? We have enough new and shiny things in our lives these days. I only give them«3 stars» because I’m comparing it to the Glenwood at Metcalf South. Now that is something special!

this theater is definitely showing its age, but I think the strip mall it’s located in adds to the dingy vibe. I used to go to this theater growing up since it wasn’t located too far from my house, but now it’s a bit of a hike. we had a fine arts groupon, and this theater is typically the one that has the movies we want to go to at the best times, so we ended up here a few weeks ago. the staff there seems very friendly and the theater itself is fine, though I don’t think it would be as comfortable if it was full. this isn’t a bad option if you’re in the area, but it does desperately need a remodel(though it might not be worth it unless the entire strip mall gets one too).

Go somewhere else. There was a tear in the screen The seats are uncomfortable and it smells like a nursing home. The only thing that looks remodeled is the lobby. The theaters look the same as they did when I saw Flash Gordon

A great smallish cinema to catch an artsy and current movie release.

The set up here is one of the odder ones that I have seen. It’s basically a movie theater in a strip mall. You wouldn’t think a movie theater would fit there, but it does, and it’s not too tiny either. It has 4 theaters, and I had never had need to go there except that they were the only theater playing Incendies a couple of weeks ago, so I decided to test it out. There are concessions and theaters, what more could you want?
