Best fish tacos I have ever had, and I grew up in Southern California. The guacamole is incredible too. Freshly made. Great selection of bottled beers as well. I will definitely be back when I’m in town again.

My best friend and I were wandering Westport looking for a restaurant neither of us had been to yet. KC Taco Company’s sidewalk board lured us in with promises of a chicken & bacon avocado burrito and bacon-infused guacamole. The place, at about 7pm, was virtually empty. The bar at the far end was full, but only two other patrons were seated at a table. We sat down and looked over the menu for about 10 minutes. No one ever came over to our table. Even when we stood to get the bartender’s attention, he neither acknowledged us nor called anyone to come help us. After a few more minutes, we got up and left. I normally don’t leave 1-star reviews, but when you can’t even get the service required to order food, what else can you do?

Awesome spot, great food, good menu. So glad we found this spot. If tacos and beer are not enough, you can shoot pool and play ski ball. Defiantly make this a stop if your in the neighborhood, if your not close, go anyway.

Came here for lunch today. Place was empty but still took five mins before waitress came over. She was very nice, however. Ordered a Pepsi and it tasted like cleaning chemicals. Told our waitress and got a water instead… same problem. Got a third glass and the problem was still there. Not a great start. The food was very good. Chips/salsa were excellent. I had steak tacos which were also good. My wife had a burrito and she enjoyed it as well. I do wish they gave you a little more salsa or sour cream, but I don’t want to nitpick. For me, the biggest problem was the atmosphere. We were the only customers from 1145 – 1230. As my wife said to me, it felt like we were eating in an empty warehouse. The pool table was being repaired which means half of lunch was spent listening to them loudly hammer and drill. Why in the world would you schedule that for lunchtime? It’s clear they don’t have any real interest in catering towards the Westport lunch crowd – which is fine – but why bother opening the doors before 5pm? We won’t be back.

Visited here because everything else was so busy. All we had were drinks and they were just regular bar drinks. Lots of wannabe country frat guys. Pretty annoying.

Great place! Good music; fun, friendly people — both staff and patrons; HUGE burritos; and games galore. Sara(Sarah maybe :), the bartender, was on it. Cheap, cheap, cheap everyday happy hours. $ 2 tall boys! Does it get any better? Recommend the cowboy junkie burrito… and this place.

We’ve been to Kansas City Taco Company a few times now and each time we walk out promising to move them higher on our list of Westport spots, especially when we are in a time crunch situation. The black bean tacos are loaded with all sorts of freshness and a great deal at 2/$ 5 on Tuesdays. Last night I did the Karma-rrito burrito as well. It was stuffed with veggie amazingness centered around an incredible sweet potato filling. A huge thanks to Adam who kept us on schedule by keeping a close eye on us to make sure we got back out the door and on the way to our show. The salsa was probably the highlight for us — we couldn’t get enough of the sublte tangy/citrus flavors. The menu offerings are a little more upscale than most traditional taco-minded eateries around town, but this is one of the few spots I am on board with spending the little bit extra for what you get. As we finished off the leftover Karma-rrito after the show last night, we were already dreaming up plans of making it back for tonight’s Taco Tuesday and knock out a couple of games of pool in Gambals while we’re at it!

We went in on a weekend day, no one there to greet us. the only person who ‘seemed’ to be working was the bartender at the back bar, who probably works for the gaming bar, and not the taco place. we looked around, making it obvious we wanted help, picking up the menu and just standing there. she didnt say anything or get anyone. so akward. sometimes having a bar and a little eartery next to it, as there are in westport, can work. this does not work. it doesnt make sense to have two seperate businesses inside the same space, Especially when you cant get any help from either. will wait for more reviews before attempting going back.

It’s okay. Prices were good. Nachos looked great. I had ground beef tacos, food was plentiful. No salsa offered. I mean, really, who wants to eat dry tacos? Atmosphere was inattentive. If they were paying attention, they would have known I wasn’t happy with dry tacos. Good enough, but pay attention!

Yes! Delicious! The owner/chef came out and personally helped us decide our order and oh man… everything was great. The prices were fair, and being able to eat inside of Gambal’s(video games galore and cheap drinks) is great, too. We’ll definitely be back.
