We had a terrible experience in this store. No one would help us. When we asked for help I felt like we were looked down upon. My opinion is that the store is mismanaged if staff won’t help those willing to spend money.

Fancy lotion and smelly stuff store! The staff seemed super nice and offered us hand lotion the second we got in the store! It was not the best smelling stuff in the world, but It was nice of them. Store was super clean and had lots of smelly stuff to choose from. If your in the market for some smelly stuff I’d say check this place out!

Beware the over-zealous sales clerks. This is a great store with a wonderful selection of product, but the staff is a bit cloying. Expect a lot of questions and conversations as you browse. The shea butter products are my favorite. The store actually has a free-trade agreement with the women of Burkina Faso which results in a great product for consumers and money going to the people.(I’m not saying the sales clerks don’t have things to say, they just keep talking! Ask them about the free-trade stuff though, it’s a good endeavor) And as winter comes, emulsifiers are all that much more important. At the very least, it’s worth stopping by the store to get a free dollop of hand cream.

This part of town has shown it’s snooty side to me a few times, but the staff here was incredibly friendly. I love L’Occitane, but I found this one worth rating because their staff was so wonderful. If you’re a fan of the brand, stop in to say hi to their KC store. You’ll be glad that you did.
