Great environment to sit and talk with friends! Awesome wine and food as well! Would definitively recommend to friends and will definitely come back!

Bought a groupon for this establishment, came by on a thursday at about 7:30 pm to use it and they were closed even though their sign read open until 10 pm. Came by the next night to use it and was told it is not valid Fridays after 6 pm, the fine print clearly reads «NOT VALID SATURDAYS AFTER 6PM» F– customer courtesy, classic bait and switch people, honor your deals for crying out loud.

We went here on New Years Eve with friends. It’s a great venue and a really great place to sit and enjoy wine and beer, along with appetizers. Great selection of both and the flights are well thought out and enjoyable. The service was fair and this is where the 4 or possibly 5 star rating dropped to a solid 3. Our waitress, who I would assume is involved in the ownership, was less than stellar. The service was fine and she was attentive, however she was extremely snotty and seemed put out by any requests we made. I don’t expect anything but good friendly service but, friendly was not her forte. I know you are running an upscale establishment, but she came off as conceited and uppity.

Just the type of place we were looking for. Casual, friendly and serving some great wines. We enjoyed the conversation and the atmosphere. We will be back and will bring friends next time.

Loved Swirl! The sangria was awesome and I like that my wine was in glasses without stems as that always makes me nervous! My friends got large pours of a white and a red… and I like that they have beer to choose also! We didn’t have time for any food app selections but I can’t wait to go back! The atmosphere is super chill and very upscale homie! The bartender/​manager Emily was hilarious and worth every minute spent there! Wish is wasn’t so far north for me but for you northland folks – check it out if you’re looking for lovely, quiet, upscale hang out!

Wow — such potential but extremely disappointing. We walked in and found a couch, and the staff member hollered at us asking what we wanted. We said we’d never been (menu? What are we supposed to do?) so she asked us to come look at the board. We each chose a glass and she brought them to our table. I was surprised, for a wine bar, to be served wine in little rinky dink glasses instead of glasses for that specific kind of wine? Fine, whatever. Then, we see wine flights going out everywhere. We were never offered nor told about flights. She said they had 4 wines on tap and bottles, but never anything on flights or any food or anything else. The wine itself was TERRIBLE. I would rather have two buck chuck than the crappy Cab I got. The staff shouted at us from across the room the entire evening, so we promptly left. I may go back some day and give it another shot, but my overall review of this place is pretty simple — this is a wine bar for someone who knows little about wine other than they like the taste of it. Edit: this staff member I spoke of may in fact be the owner, so if that’s the case, I won’t go back. :/.

We received this groupon as a gift for our Anniversary. We started out our staycation weekend at Swirl. It was awesome, and wished as had planned more time there. The owner is awesome, super friendly and outgoing. The beer selection is fun and interesting. The hummas is local and fantastic. We throughly enjoyed it. Plan to go back on a Saturday night when the live music is there. It gets my highest recommendation.

SUPER place. The lady working behind the bar was friendly and a hoot. As we were talking, I realized she was the owner. Very impressed and think she’ll do great just off her personality alone. The concept there is great too. There’s been a lot of times where I have thought, I’m not sure exactly what I want, but there are wine flights so you can try a lot without being over the top with consumption! Beer choices are great and span a wide variety of tastes. The Pecan beer was awesome and I don’t even like pecans! I got the wine flight and my husband got the beer flight. At first, I was disappointed she picked a chardonnay because I normally think they taste too buttery, but was VERY pleasantly surprised with the one she picked. We didn’t try any food since we came in so close to closing (which we were also surprised she didn’t make any mention of this or kick us out when we went a few minutes over). It’s a little far from us, but we definitely want to come back again!

This is a cute place with friendly service. I had a decent experience here with my parents. Good snack foods and decent drinks.

Won’t be back. We bought Groupons and took a large group. We called weeks in advance and let them know when we were coming and how many there would be. When I made the reservations, they said there would be small plate food available also. I told her that we would probably want to order 10 plates of food. She said thanks for letting her know that far in advance and they would make sure they had enough available. When we arrived, the first thing we were told was that they didn’t have enough glasses to serve all of us. Ummm… okay…I thought we were there to get wine. Anyway… we just went with it. We could only receive a couple of flights at a time (there were 11 of us), so some were ordering individual glasses of wine or beer so they would have something to drink while waiting for half an hour to get another flight. Every time someone ordered a glass of wine or beer, our server acted all put out like it was so much trouble to get it. The wine was horrible. I tasted four different types and each one was horrible, yukky, cheap, buy it at the $ 3 store wine. Our service was very poor. It took forever to get a glass of wine and we knew the likelihood of being able to get any food was none. We ended up leaving after waiting and waiting for additional flights. It was quite frustrating. On a good note, we walked down the sidewalk to another establishment and received great service and great food, so the night was not a total loss. I won’t be back. I’m really bummed about it because I wanted it to be an awesome place, but it’s just not. Don’t waste your time.

Yeah! A nice wine bar up North! I found myself in the Northland and stumbled upon this little wine bar. Don’t let the strip-​mall location fool you — this place has a clean and relaxed feel and the wine is legit. They have four reds and four whites on draft… and they even have great beer options. I had a flight of the red wine (all four wines) for $ 9. They have limited food options, but the hummus plate we ordered was actually really great. The service was also stellar — super friendly and attentive. I will be back here!!!
