Take a tour! It’s a great experience! The Roasterie offers free tours of their«hanger». Just sign up on their website and you will be ready to fly in no time! I’ve taken the tour several times and each one is a delight. I’ve had some hosts that are better than others but they have all been a joy. It’s one of those simple events that I will do with guests from out of town. They will show you a fantastic history video, do a little«cupping» demonstration and then you get to walk the factory floor as they answer questions and tell you everything you would want to know about coffee. Take your out-of-town guests and in-town friends. You won’t be disappointed. -

Attended a wedding here last weekend, beautiful unique space with everything you’d need. Plus my friends did an open coffee and cocktail bar which was divine. I loved that you could separate all the spaces for different parts of the reception. They did cocktails in the café, a separate section for dinner, opened the hanger for dancing and had a small room chocked with cake cookies treats and flavored milk! Great parking and easy to get to for out of towners like myself.

I attended a charity event at The Bean Hangar and thought it was a great space that I would like to return to for any other event held here(that I am invited to, of course). The space is well done, unique and another great addition to the many event spaces we seem to have in our city. There were some great details about the space, the lighting and the treatment to the curtains to be exact, that didn’t need to be done but is one of the reasons it makes the space special. I didn’t have to deal with the staff or the management since I was only an attendee, but with how smoothly everything went on my visit, I would have to guess that they do a pretty damn good job. I can’t wait to attend another event at The Bean Hangar @ The Roasterie!

This is a great little event space. It’s not fancy, but they have AV equipment and the room can be configured in a lot of different ways. The people here are very nice. If you get a chance, come here for The Roasterie tour. It’s short, but it’s great fun! Also, one of the best things about this place is you can’t miss it! The airplane on the roof ensures everyone can find it!

The entrance/Lounge area was awesome. I love how the décor inside has the plane theme to match the plane outside. Now, I don’t like coffee(GASP, I know…) but the space is trendy and cool. The ability to look through the windows and see the roast station is my favorite part of the room. I’d love to come back and see it in action. The only downside to this place is the parking. There is a lot outside, but not only is it completely dark, but it is in horrible condition. Maybe the light will mess up the ambiance of the plane, but for safety reasons there should be something there to make it lighter since the area is not the greatest. As far as everything inside, they get a A+!

This is a really great event space. You wouldn’t even know it’s in the Roasterie, but after you stroll past the front café area, the space opens up. The large space would be nice for receptions or meetings, especially if you absolutely love coffee, since the area has a constant coffee aroma. I enjoyed the space and the fact you can look through the wall of windows along one side of the room and see the roasting equipment!

I recently attended the Unilocal Restaurant Week Preview in this space and it was so fun! You pass a space age reception desk as you enter the event space and immediately face a wall of windows. These windows let you peer in on none other than Roasterie central! No one was working and it was dark but it was still cool to look out onto machines and burlap sacks full of coffee. The immediate surrounding blocks look somewhat shady, IMO. I wish the parking had been better lit. I definitely wouldn’t want to venture here unaccompanied. I see this space as a great place for small funky wedding receptions for coffee lovin’ couples, Christmas party space for book clubs, coffee klatches, small offices, or even a catered scrapbook crop. Why not?! As long as whatever-it-is is in the well lit daytime hours… just me?

The Unilocal Elite Restaurant Week Party was held here and I really enjoyed visiting the space. The glass windows looking onto the roasting floor provided cool atmosphere and that industrial urban vibe. Long bar height tables along the wall were the perfect place to samples the foods and drinks provided. Free samples of the ground coffee disappeared fast, so apparently the subtle aroma of coffee surrounding the crowd worked on everyone as well as it did on me. Nice casual event space.

I attended a Unilocal event here yesterday evening and I really liked the space! To me it gave off a modern and trendy yet casual vibe. In a way the space seemed like the coffee equivalent of the event spaces at Boulevard Brewing. Between the smell of coffee, the beans and other merchandise displayed everywhere, and all the stainless steel and machines I wanted coffee pretty badly! However, seeing that it was a Unilocal even and it was in the evening I was more than happy to drink beer and wine! Anyhow, a nice event space. I’d love to come here again anytime!
