Taco Tuesdays is always worth it. The price increased slightly but 4 tacos with fresh ingredients for $ 5 something is more than fair. They have a soup. Can’t think of the name, but it’s delicious. Eat it with tortilla chips. The smothered burritos is delicious but I always fell guilty afterwards(a giant burrito covered on nacho cheese sauce). My only issues are the minimum credit card order– so don’t forget to add your drink! And a small cup of nacho cheese sauce is $ 2. Ouch!

Wrap It Up(burritos, you pervert) is a solid go-to if you crave Mexican food. And if you don’t want to spend much. And if you work downtown. And if it’s lunchtime. Of course, it’s probably out of the way if you don’t meet the above criteria. But for what it is, it’s decent. Points are mainly being awarded for the very generous portions and the very friendly service. The owner is present almost every time I have visited the last several years, and he’s extremely friendly and diligent. The rest of the staff always exhibits smiles, too. The food isn’t going to blow you away, by any means. It’s still of fast-food ilk. The meat isn’t extremely flavorful and even a little dry. And the lettuce to cheese ratio on the tacos is roughly 20:1. Had this been a full-service restaurant, I would have granted 4 stars. As friendly as the staff is, it’s limited service, so not as heavily weighted. It pained me to give 3, because I like the staff so much. But I try to be objective, y’know? :/ Food: 2.5÷5 Service: 4.5÷5 My level of conflict in this rating: 5⁄5

This place is absolutely delicious! These guys are serious about delivering fresh authentic Tex-Mex food! From their friendly service to their fresh local ingredients. I highly recommend the Breakfast Burritos or for lunch a Pork Burrito bowl.

I love this place for lunch on those days when I don’t bring my own. Their beef is flavored nicely, and the pork is delicious! I usually don’t do Taco Tuesday, but it’s a great deal. I usually get their pork nachos. They give you a generous amount of food! Today I tried their breakfast for the first time and it is so good! They make everything(except the bacon and potatoes) right in front of you so you know it’s fresh! The chorizo was so good! Also, the staff is always friendly!

The food is pretty good, and relatively cheap. Service is awesome. The ladies on the line are friendly & get your order out fast. I’ve eaten there about 6 times, and I’ve been happy with my food & service.

During a rainy afternoon, I needed a quick and tasty lunch spot. I had heard coworkers talk about this place and decided to try it out. The ladies working were friendly and super nice. The line moved quick and I was surprised of the quality of food(happily surprised). There’s a lot of options, complete with ice cream. I have a unhealthy obsession with Chipotle, but this place is close. Next will be to try the breakfast burritos!

Best Breakfast Burrito ever– chorizo, egg, mushroom, cheese, and spinach. Stop by and have one made to order. Fast, friendly service. Lunch menu looks tasty as well. Say hello to Veronica when you stop by.

I work in the City Center Square Building and this place is addictive!!! Their breakfast burritos and sandwiches are awesome, their daily specials — wonderful!!! From Taco Tuesday to their Pork in green salsa(Today’s special) to their nachos and tamales… everything is fabulous! And it could not be run by a nicer group of people. Roberto and Veronica give everything a personal touch! Highly Recommend!!!

I love Mexican food and am very selective. This might be my favorite Mexican restaurant in Kansas City. I always get the tamales on Monday and burritos on other days. The couple that run the place are very nice and genuine, probably the owners.

I stopped in for Wrap it Up Tex Mex Grill today — because i saw it on Unilocal a while ago, and was downtown. It’s good. I had a couple of pork tacos, and ooh, that was some delicioso pork. Tender and shredded in a mild but complex deep red chile braise. A hint of anise, maybe avocado leaves. Just a hint — it was very tasty and savory stuff. Best tacos I’ve ever gotten in KCMO downtown. Food court setting inside city center square just north of 12th on Main, quick and packaged in a to-go container. You can have soft or crispy corn tortillas, and they have various condiments, the usual — pico, a hot and a mild salsa, cilantro, lettuce, cheese. I also got a little side of guac, it was fresh. Also they have black beans in addition to pintos refritos. They were fine, nothing special but not at all bad. The staff was very nice and friendly. There’s a curry stand in the food court too, smelled pretty great. Update: was back recently, more of those delicious pork tacos. Still very good. Parking is a bit of an issue, but if you’re downtown and like mexican, you should try it. Service was again very friendly and nice, they urged a sample of chicken on me but I was in a hurry so I declined. I suspect that’s good too. Somebody let me know.

I eat breakfast here a couple times a week and get a breakfast burrito(eggs, cheese, half bacon, half sausage) $ 3.59+tax=$ 4.00. They have a price for up to 4 or 5 ingredients so I ask for half of two meats to keep from paying more. Lunch is similar to Chipotle but it’s cheaper for a burrito or bowl or whatever, the whole menu is good and will feel you up. They have been nothing but nice to me even if to say hi and not buy anything.

I was timid about going to a Mexican location in a ‘food court’ but the two people working there were extremely nice and asked us to come try ‘samples’ of the fresh meats and sauces so we stopped. Apparently the two nice people working at the store are the owners who also prepare everything fresh every morning. They were extremely nice, the food was quite good and once we ordered they came out to the table we were sitting at and brought us fresh cookies. I ordered chicken nachos, they were put into a ‘to-go’ box which scared me at first but they were delicious masterpieces layered in cheese, fresh marinated chicken, veggies, salsa, jalapenos, fresh chopped onions and pretty much whatever else we asked for. My friend Jen had the veggie nachos which she loved but could only eat ½ of. Cassie ordered the pulled pork nachos which she also enjoyed and could not finish because she was stuffed. The owners brought out fresh made pecan cookies that melted in our mouths. Cassie said twice that they may be the best cookies she has ever eaten. There is nothing better than to see a nice older husband and wife team creating fresh meals with a friendly attitude. The food was tasty, the service was above and beyond what I could imagine and the prices are low. The three of us were pleasantly stuffed with left overs we brought back to the office to share for just over $ 20. If you work Downtown please check this place out and support a wonderful family creating good food for us to enjoy and let’s keep these small mom and dad places around :)

It’s odd that my favorite Mexican food in Kansas City right now is in a food court. Tucked away in City Center Square in downtown KC is Wrap it Up(A Tex-Mex International Grill). Downtown in full of authentic and not-so-authentic Mexican fare(especially up and down Southwest Boulevard), but this little gem is worth the effort if you’re nearby. I have friends who have been quite pleased with regular menu items, but I’ve been blown away by their specials of home made tamales(currently on Mondays), Tacos Al Pastor(available most days), Mexican Chicken Soup, and more. Very authentic and absolutely delicious. Unlike more common lunch«platters,» most dishes are ala carte, so you don’t need to worry about needing a siesta after being over-stuffed with rice and beans. Sure they have wraps, ice cream by the scoop and popcorn, but come for the Mexican food and you’ll come back. If you’re near downtown KC during the week for lunch, give it a try!

This is a bright spot in a mostly empty food court. Good burritos made to order, choices for veggies and carnivores. They also have a full menu including breakfast burritos. Good guacamole you can add to any dish for $ 1. A veggie burrito with guac and a drink runs about $ 10, so it is a tad pricy. The ladies who work there are friendly though.

I thought this was going to be a crappy Chipotle knock off, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It is a family owned and operated little place in the City Center food court offering tasty Mexican home cooking. All the food is good, but the Mexican Chicken Soup(only on Wednesdays, though the schedule changes) is out of this world. I get it every week, fully loaded with onions, cilantro, avacado and hot salsa. It’s generous with the veggies and chicken and such good broth. Try it!
the food is good and the service is friendly. They serve both breakfast and lunch. You would be hard pressed not to find something on the menu that you would enjoy.

Amazingly vegetarian-friendly and delicious Tex Mex! I had a bean burrito and was pleasantly surprised that their refried beans and rice are absolutely vegetarian! Their food, preparation, service and food were all 5-star worthy!
