Akamai Grocery Shopping and Delivery

This was one of the easiest things to do! It was so wonderful to get to the condo late at night after a long flight to Oahu and have everything we ordered there and put away in the proper place. Ordering was easy — product selection was perfect. Great customer service. I will ALWAYS use this service when coming to Hawaii!

No time for a big review but I had to at least say quickly how FANTASTIC Al is. He has gone above and beyond to help me get a new place ready for us to move in in a few weeks. He is courteous, professional, helpful, reasonably priced and totally trustworthy. I feel so LUCKY to have found him — make your life easier, let Al handle the shopping while you enjoy the beach!

I’ve been a customer of Akamai since it’s inception, approx. 2000 – 2001 and thru 3 owners. The previous 2 owners moved out of state and now there’s Al. All have been wonderful and have provided a much needed service with a smile, a great attitude and a reasonable delivery fee. Akamai rocks!

This was the first time using any type of grocery delivery service ever. usually, as soon as we arrive, i would make a late trip to the market to stock up on our bare necessities. but… What a great and convenient experience! We were arriving late friday evening (10pm HI time/​1am CA time) in Ko Olina and didn’t want to make a trip to the market so late with kids. We were already exhausted from the long trip with 2 toddlers.
I emailed my grocery list to Al 3 days before arriving. I ordered enough for our morning breakfast and a few necessary items until we can make a trip to the store.
when we arrived, our fridge was stocked with ALL of the items requested. No substitutes. If Al had any questions on an item requested, he contacted me. Which was great. He didn’t guess at which item was requested. He picked the best/​sweetest fruits for us as well! which is always a plus! It actually helps if you are very specific about the items requested.
The price of the groceries were not too outrageous since Al used his safeway card for additional discounts. which is great to know. He didn’t buy items that were over priced just because he wasn’t paying the bill. he was very conservative.
If you want a specific brand, you should just mention it.
His delivery fees were not too over the top where i would have second guessed the service. very reasonable. they accept cash or check with out a fee. or, you can use your credit card through paypal which adds 3%. I just brought my check book. I paid a few days later when Al called to see when would be the best time to come by and pick up the check. Also, very convenient.
I would definitely recommend Akamai Grocery Delivery service when ever you are visiting Ko Olina. They may service other areas as well, but you’ll have to check out the website for more details.

i can not say enough about Al at Akamai!
While we were on family vacation my mother (who no longer drives) needed some household and food items, as well as to have some prescriptions picked up. A friend had recommended Akamai. Once I spoke with Al on the phone i knew that my mom’s items would be taken care of…
He picked up all the items and delivered them straight to her. The service was professional, courteous, and affordable. Akamai is such a great option for my family.
