Gialuchi Salon & Day Spa

The salon looks small from the outside but once you get inside, it looks spacious yet still feels cozy. I have but great words for my hairsylist Laura. Aside from her personable and professional demeanor, I always leave the salon feeling happy and looking fabulous! She did a great job of reviving my hair with the right color and dimension. She listens to what I want and she recommends the appropriate course of action. After having a bad hair treatment from another salon, I am glad to have found this place, most especially Laura!

Very moderately priced. The room was clean and nicely lit. The music was relaxing. I went for 30 minutes, deep tissue. Melinda has a great touch and we had small discussion. This was my first experience with a massage over 5 minutes. Everyone was friendly and I will definitely be coming back here.

Not entirely impressed with the results of a facial treatment that I received here. The blemishes/​acne that were removed were very little. The next day, my face returned to the same state it was prior to my visit. The only major change I notice is the smoothness of my skin. I wouldn’t revisit this spa and waste another hundred dollars. I do appreciate the time though!

Jamie was my waxer (bikini, eyebrows, everything) for 2 years. I’m so lucky I found her! She made me feel so at ease and made coming back every 6 – 8 weeks enjoyable. Talked me through the entire process– was quick… In and out in 20 mins or less (probably much less). But what a sweetheart! Don’t know if she still works there but everything in the salon is so clean and sterile! I felt comfortable the whole time while there :)

This was my second time going to this salon. I had a really good experience. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. My hair stylist Lynn was on time and made sure she listened to what I wanted and explained what she was doing. She even recommended products for my hair type and style.
My most recent experience was entirely different. I called to get an appt. with Lynn and the receptionist said she no longer worked there. I asked for her to book me with someone she recommended. I got a call a few days later stating that stylist was ill and putting me with Ina. (senior stylist) Got a call a half hour before appointment asking me to come in 30 minutes later due to stylist running behind. No Problem. Get there on the new time stylist says she is still running behind for a lame reason and has no idea when she will be done. After waiting 20 minutes asked receptionist if someone else was available to cut my hair. No luck there. She then asked my stylist how long she would be and she told her it would be another hour. I then said I couldn’t continue to wait and that this was ridiculous and proceeded to leave. They let me walk out right past stylist and she didn’t express how sorry she was. Totally unprofessional

Drea-​absolutely the best massage I’ve had. Made me very relaxed the entire time, great care for tender spots and your hands worked magic! The sports therapy massage I received was off the charts! Thank you and definitely expect me back!

Nyna is such a good stylist. I hadn’t had my hair cut in a while, so it looked like a horrible wavy, curly mess. Nyna really took her time with me. She listened to what I wanted, looked at some of the pictures of what my hair was like in the past, gave some suggestions, and made me feel like I was in good hands. I cannot say enough about her. My hair looks fab and I am happy to find someone who took the time to give me the cut I have wanted. NO MORE PYRAMID ON MY HEAD! WOO!

The masseuse dreea I think that’s her name was completely amazing best massage I have had so far. She was friendly Charismatic just completely amazing she made me feel super comfortable more then I’ve felt before I will absolutely be doing my massages with her for now on

Drea is the best masseuse on this island yet! My husband and I took a long road trip around the mainland to visit family and site-​see for 4 months. Awesome trip — but upon returning, my entire body truly needed Drea’s touch.
She listens to your needs, applies the perfect amount of pressure you desire, uses your choice of very nice oils that leave you feeling wonderful. She is extremely professional with a wonderful personality! Perfect tranquility room with soothing music, perfect low lighting, clean, fresh sheets and the warmth shows. There is also a shower should you need one. I highly recommend her.
In fact, I went to Chili’s afterwards to get a to go order for my hubby and me, and told the bartender about her. He recently lost his masseuse due to moving. I strongly recommended Scott to see her!
Drea is continuing classes to further her education and helps so many people! I applaud that and wish her well!
It had been too long since I saw her. Today was 1−½ hours. She worked very hard on my entire body using the perfect deep tissue massage that I personally enjoyed. Many knots… I know I will sleep well tonight and feel awesome tomorrow.

Had a couple great massages from Marcella while I was in town. She really took the time to find my problem areas and work on them. Highly recommend! Great for those post golf aches and pains.

I love this salon. I have had everything here from a facial to a pedicure. My hair stylist here is Laura and she always does exactly what I want. Being a military spouse, it’s hard to find someone in every state you go to that does your hair just right. She does a fantastic job with color and cut. I brought my niece in recently too, and she totally fixed her fried hair and now it is manageable and not to mention beautiful. The salon itself is cute and quiet, and I really enjoy how close it is to home. I will keep coming back here for as long as I live here. :) Also, Nyna did a fantastic job on an Updo I had. From start to finish, she executed my hair with precision and I left with an amazing Updo that I got many compliments on.

Cassie always does a wonderful job on my waxing. She’s very personal and makes you feel comfortable. She always remembers the little things about me, even when I haven’t been seen by her in months. Which is nice :)
When I get waxed anywhere else, I usually walk away red and pained but over here the redness fades SO fast and I can continue with my day without the interruption of pain. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely fantastic massage therapists– my dad and I scheduled last minute massages today and are so pleased with our results. My dad has a knot in his shoulder that his therapist worked on with passion and focus. He feels so much better already. My therapist (Carie) was equally passionate and really worked out some tough kinks in my neck and shoulders. The hot towels and aromatherapy were unexpected bonuses. Thank you ladies for your dedication and work!

I called at 4:45 to get an emergency appointment, and Gia (the owner) answered and said the hair stylist (Nyna) was willing to fit me in. Seriously, I drove as fast as I could and Nyna stayed past closing to fix, cut, and style my hair.
Usually I cut my own hair to save time and money (and I don’t trust much people with my curly kinky hair), but I cut my bangs waaaaaaayyyyy to short and had to speak at a public event the next day. UGH! Also, I was due for a coloring and professional cut. Both Gia and Nyna were sweethearts and so understanding.
Anyway, Nyna not only made my hair publicly presentable, she had showered me with some TLC on the health, color, and style of my hair. Seriously, even though she had made previous plans, she did not rush anything, and stayed beyond closing. My hair color is beautiful, the cut is wonderful, and my hair feels so healthy. I am officially turning in my Edward Scissorhands hat and gonna get my hair done at Gialuchi Salon.
As many mentioned, it wasn’t just the hair service that is amazing, the entire salon has such a wonderful ambiance and calming atmosphere. Nyna, Gia, and Gia’s daughter, are beautiful people inside and out. I walked in a disheveled and emotional mess, and walked out feeling like beautiful and strong woman.

I called at 11:15 on a Saturday to get an appointment for a highlight and cut at 11:45, PERFECT. I am very picky on my hair so these five stars mean a lot. I had KELLY do my hair and she was totally awesome I’m going back to her from here. I always avoid getting my hair done here in Hawaii as it’s been messed up so many times, today I put all faith in Kelly and she did an amazing job.
I originally wanted a full head of highlights and she recommended I did a half after some discussion I went with her recommendation and I’m really happy. I was very specific about only having a trim and she did just that! Kelly is very friendly and personable, definitely knows her profession. Highly recommended her.

I would like to give my 5-​stars to Drea as my amazing masseuse… Twice she was able to make the time for me to come in and work out those aching muscles. She is very patient and takes the time to find out what are my trouble areas that need to be concentrated on and when I leave there, I feel just great!
And the whole experience at Gialuchi’s is warm & pleasant… Makes you look forward to setting up your next appointment…

I had my hair done this past Saturday by Nyna. She’s AMAZING! She totally saved my hair. I originally went in to get my hair colored. I was trying to grow out my hair because the last person to do my hair totally effed it up. She insisted she fix it for me. I was apprehensive at first. Thinking «how the hell can anyone fix this mess?» Well, I’m so happy I agreed and she made my hair so much better! I love her work and will definitely be coming back. My sister actually recommended her to me. I’m so glad I went
The reason for the –1 star was the receptionist. Nyna and myself didn’t realize how much work my hair really was going to be. I had a 4pm appointment. They close at 7. I got out of there by 7:30. But the receptionist was a total bitch to me during closing time. She was nice when I first walked in. But when I was done washing my hair I went to give her my card so I can pay and she can close out her computer. Because I could just tell she was super annoyed I was still there. She just said to me «doesn’t matter if you pay now anyway, I still have to wait for you to leave». So I said oh okay. My blood was boiling. Then we got my hair finished up and I finally went to pay. I didn’t realize that they don’t let you leave tip on your credit card. I didn’t have cash on me. So I told her if I can go to grab cash from the atm like 2 stores away. She rolled her eyes and opened the door. I came back and gave Nyna her tip and thanked her so much. If it wasn’t for Nyna I would have probably went ape sh** on that receptionist.
But besides that. I love Nyna and I will be going back to see her in a bit. She’s so sweet and loves her job and you can tell by the work she does.

After posting my first review, the owner Gia, immediately called me to apologize. She was mortified I had that encounter with the receptionist, who I found out was Autumn. She told me that autumn is leaving the end of the month as well. And she kept apologizing for her actions.
This is the kind of business I love to visit. And the kind of business that other businesses should use as an example of great customer service. They really care about their customers and make sure that they are taken care of. Thank you Gia and Nyna for being such amazing women!

My husband bought me the Queens Package as a surprise for yesterday, Sat March 27. The massage was great, and so was the facial, but it was the worst manicure and pedicure I have ever had. The girl doing it really had no idea what was going on. For the pedicure I was suppose to get a special one as part of the package and I only got basic. She didn’t trim my cuticles, give a massage, or use warm towels like he other clients there received. She got color all over my nail beds and around my nail. The manicure was even worse. No cuticle trimming, she used her sharp nails to remove polish she painted improperly and messed up my thumb. I was also suppose to relieve more then a basic mani with this package, and didn’t even receive a massage. It looks like a child painted them – whole areas missing color, uneven filing, and paint all over my nails. This package was over $ 300 and this was awful for what I received.
Updated: Gia the owner promptly contacted me and completely remedied the situation. It really shows a lot about a business when a business owner takes the time to make it right. Will return for sure for another hydra facial. Thank you Gia!

My husband booked an hour long massage for me with Brenda and a mini facial with Jamie.
I really wanted to propose to Brenda after the perfect massage she gave me. She really worked hard to get rid of all the knots and help me with my pains. She used the right amount of pressure I requested. She didn’t talk to me and I prefer that with massages after running around with a talkative toddler all day. I love silence. Brenda is an amazing masseuse.
Jamie did a great and relaxing facial for my dry skin from the Hawaiian sun. She used gentle products since I am expecting.
The tips are cash only and that’s a little annoying. My husband brought some cash in, but handed it all to one person. Hope they know to split it somehow.
Tips are always awkward especially in cash.
I want to see Brenda again.
