updated review, theyve improved greatly since I last reviewed. Maybe I just kept catching them on bad days. I seriously love this starbucks and kind of refuse to go anywhere else. they always have everything available, and if they dont they offer something else similar or better. Im always impressed going there especially since i wake up extra early and the lines are always long. My visits typically take 5 mins or less in a drive thru line, which for coffee? is impressive. I havent even experienced that in a mc. donalds line. LOL happy with this starbucks id suggest it to anyone on the west side.

First of all, I love coming to this store because it’s they always hit it right for both customer service and efficiency. The crew are such amazing people including Ashley, Nahe, Marisa, Carol, Kristen. They have been working in this store for five years or more and still hold it together for hectic and stressful situations. I love to come in not as a customer, but a person and they always deliver. I’m a very patient person and the drinks sometimes comes in late b because customer before me ordered a bunch of frappacinos. But in recent events, a new guy(Peter Pan) in the morning always get my drink wrong and I always have Marisa correct his mistake. And she makes sure that my drink get in correctly. So thank you Lanza! Plus hes always in a bad mood to take orders for customers and myself. And people know me as the person who loves to talk to people. I’m just saying as a discretion to the new guy that his attitude towards customers and the job will get him into trouble. But overall this store is clean and the best location to study.

No matter how busy it gets here, the baristas always manages to smile and be happy! One of the firendliest starbucks. I used to come through this area a lot when I needed to stop by navy fed. They have an outside patio with some umbrellas and the inside is pretty all right. They have booth, bar areas, and long tables for study groups. They also have a drive thru that loops around the building. The only down side is the parking. It’s pretty tight and the parking structure is small. So be careful! It makes it busy since there’s a few restaurants and a bank in this area.

What can I say… it’s a Starbucks! I frequent this location due to its’ proximity to my workplace. I do regret to say that they’ve screwed up my order several times during the morning rush, nothing TOO unforgivable for me, but could possibly be a deal breaker for some true coffee aficionados or snobs. A LOT of my «skinny, no whip cream latte» orders have come out to be full-blown sugar with whipped cream lattes, which is super disappointing and throws off my attempt at TRYING to cut calories, sugar, and carbs where I can. I’ve actually never been inside; I’ve only ever gone through the drive-thru. The drive-thru is pretty long around the building, out of the way of other traffic(unlike some other Starbucks drive-thrus…ahem I am looking at you Mililani Mauka), but moves pretty fast.

The drive-thru is fast. Yes, they sometimes get my drink wrong and they forgot to get my mobile order ready, but hey we are all human and overall they do a great job.

Friendliest staff and the most consistently great drinks of any Starbucks i’ve been to, both in Hawaii and in the Mainland. The lines are long because people like this place, but the staff are fast with taking orders and making drinks.

after getting a bad coffee from Target Starbucks I came here and asked if I could get a discount for another one. they gave me a free one instead! Best Starbucks on west side and the drive thru is a added bonus :)

I came here to buy my coffee and since I needed to break my 100, I thought itd be a good idea. I get to the register for my order and the cashier tells me she doesn’t have enough change for me, and to break my 100 at another store somewhere else. You mean to tell me that a huge company that gets tons of business in the morning doesnt have enough money in any drawer to break a 100? Not only that, but don’t tell me to go out of my way to break a 100 just so you can get the money you see as acceptable. I even asked her to clarify: «you mean if I was paying for my coffee with a 100, you wouldnt be able to give me change?» «No. But did you still want to order?» NO! WHYWOULD I IFYOUWOULDNTBEABLETOGIVEMEMYCHANGE?

This Starbucks is definitely the one I visit the most frequently. Service is always so friendly and helpful if you have a question. They do get busy and the drive-thru line can get backed up especially at peak hours. But for the most part that line does move pretty quickly. I’m not a huge fan of the seating layout inside but I have found seating when I’ve gotten my caffeine fix and chilled for a bit. Aside from the friendly service this location knows how to make their drinks. I’ve been to other locations(that I will not specifically mention) and the drink I got was not the drink I ordered. So it’s nice to know that I can rely on my drink coming out how I expect it. Writing a review makes me want to go get my coffee fix now, see you soon Starbucks!

I’m on a roll with Starbucks reviews today. This is the third. Now, this used to be one of my favorite locations but there’s limited seating(more limited than other stbx) and people are always hogging the outlets practically the entire day long. This is the starbucks that first made me wish there was a limit to how long you can sit. I think that people should have to buy something every hour and if they don’t they can get the hec moving. Me? I’m okay with that because I always refill my drinks and keep buying food, but there are people who seriously take advantage of Starbucks, buy one thing and sit for the entire day. This one time, this guy practically made home. He kept up and leaving his seat and left all his things there, his tablet, clothes, bags… he would completely leave the store. Idk where the hec he went but he’d be gone for at least 20 minutes at a time. He had the nerve to ask me to watch his stuff for him. Now, the staff here is awesome… mostly. There was this one guy who was super awesome enough to let me charge my phone(it was an emergency because it was dead and I was supposed to be meeting someone) in one of their outlets behind the counter. This one haole guy though… I haven’t seem him there in a LONG time… every time he took someone’s order he made it seem like he was hitting on the girl, even me. I did not appreciate that. What he would do is be incredibly friendly and somewhat charming/flirtatious while taking the order and then he’d ask«So… what’s your name?» and exactly in the way where it sounds like a guy is genuinely asking for your name because he wants to know. I answered… and then he wrote it on the cup and said thanks. Ugh. Trust me, there is a genuine difference in intonation when you’re asking someone«can I get your name?» for a starbucks cup and when you’re genuinely asking cause you’re interested in what their name is. This guy did the latter to every girl in line that day. I felt so embarrassed at having thought he was actually asking for my name. I don’t know how many girls he humiliated in that manner and maybe he was just turning on the charm because he’s naturally flirtatious but finding out in the end he wasn’t actually flirting with you is a major embarrassment, especially when you answer with your name all smitten-like. Seriously don’t appreciate that barista and this location has left a bad taste in my mouth ever since. If it weren’t for that guy and the outleg-hogs, I would rate this location a lot higher.

My go to Starbucks for my usual!(Venti black tea with extra Thai walls sweeten) I come to ONLY this Starbucks in Kapolei because they always give me the perfect extra Thai walls in my drink. The baristas are always nice and provide awesome customer service! Also they open really early and close later than usual! So perfect for the late night coffee runs.

This Starbucks location is my favorite! Most places close around 9pm in Kapolei, however this one is open till 11pm and they also have drive-thru. The staffs are friendly and there are lots of tables inside. Love the tiramisu latte and peach lemonade green tea!

Love coming to this Starbucks. It’s my usual Starbucks before going into work. Been going here for couple years now and most of them know me. They always know my order and I would never change it. Fast and friendly service. At time there is a wait but it’s worth the wait when you know they make your coffee right the first time!!! Thanks guys yall are awesome!!!

I enjoy me some Starbucks =) I love that this is a drive-through location. It makes it easier to get my coffee fix when I’m running errands and don’t want to get my kids out of the car. My favorite drinks are the Frappuccinos, and I like how they’re always coming up with new flavors. This week they have a Happy Hour special from 3−5pm for ½ off Frappuccinos. I went there today hoping to try the new Smores flavor… but they ran out already! I think it’s only been around for a week or less, so you’d think they would be well stocked — especially since the Happy Hour promotion. That’s the only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5. Other than that, the staff is friendly, the orders are completed really fast, and the pastries are delicious =-)

When I’m early enough for work, and dying for a cup of decaffeinated goodness, I swing by the drive through at this Starbucks. I’ve also walked there from my office once or twice for a mid-day coffee. Gotta love Kapolei for it’s urban planning and conveniently located all of my favorite go-to haunts! It’s close enough that I even made«Gold Card» status for the first time ever last month! The drive through is quite fast, and I love being called«my dear» by the sweet window attendants, early in the morning when I need some warm comfort. It’s like seeing an old friend(maybe they recognize me by now, lol). My weakness for Starbucks is especially bad during the holidays, when I just can’t resist the Pumpkin Spice Latte, Peppermint Mocha, and Gingerbread Latte. Just one thing – when it’s the holidays, watch your peppermint stock! I tried to order my PMM once, and they were out of peppermint! Another great thing about the drive through location – the car line is roadside, so I can see at a glance if there’s a long line(not usually) or if I have time to swing in to get some coffee without rushing.

I had this conversation with my friends about UH West Oahu. Where do they study? Do they have a 24 hour library like Sinclair Library at UH Manoa? I’m a UH Manoa student who commutes from the west side and this is probably the only café on this side of the island that’s closes at 11p.m. even on Sunday. Not only am I extremely grateful for this Starbucks closing pretty late and giving students who can’t do work at home a place to study, they have a pretty great staff. Most baristas I’ve had enjoy what they do, making coffee for others, for themselves and even getting to smell like coffee when they leave work. Coffee everywhere! They’re always up for a small talk, they have interesting things to say. Full of suggestions for the indecisive caffeine lover. But really, never a bad experience coming here. There are three Starbucks in Kapolei and this is the biggest one THEYEVENHAVE A DRIVETHRU! The inside seating has a giant table and many, many plugs. In Hawaii, everyone is nice. So some people will be considerate enough to bring a extension with them. There’s also outside seating where larger groups sometimes meet. They’re right next to a Jamba Juice and a sushi place.

This Starbucks charges more then the others. For example a tall cappuccino here runs $ 3.45 vs. $ 3.15 at Starbucks in Kunia and Target. I am not a coffee connoisseur but every once in a while I like to wet my lips with a Starbucks Cappuccino. Unfortunately this location likes to charge about $.30 cents extra for the same cappuccino. Thanks, but no thanks. Rating based on price vs other Starbucks within a one mile radius.
