Keep in mind that our family of four visited on a weekday in February. And we knew in advance that you have to pay for parking and that lockers are $ 15(actually $ 18 for a big locker). And that you should first grab a bite to eat at one of the many inexpensive lunch spots in the area. And that Wet ‘n’ Wild was ‘free’ as part of our Go Oahu Card package. But all that said we had an absolute blast. My adventurous daughter loved all the thrill rides. My son who is not LOVED that there were plenty of easy and medium water rides that were more than thrilling enough for him. And my wife and I had a great time on all the rides with our kids. Our only disappointment was that the ‘lazy river’ was BYFAR the laziest river ride we have ever experienced. Lastly, I must say that the staff was GREAT! Infinitely better than that usually experienced in any ‘normal’ mainland amusement parks(e.g. Great Adventure, Six Flags, Hershey, boardwalks, etc). Similarly, though I read a number of complaints about the cleanliness of Wet ‘n’ Wild it seemed to us about the same as pretty much any non-Disney mainland amusement park.

Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii formerly known as the Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park in Kapolei. Of all the years that this amusement park has been on the island I have only visited the park couple times. The first time was for The Arthritis Foundation walk that my current employer participated in. My most recent visit was for the Pepsi Drink Aloha Concert featuring local bands Natural Vibrations and The Green. Date: August 29, 2015 Where: Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii Reason to go: Won complimentary ticket from Unilocal to attend the Drink Aloha Concert featuring main headliner The Green I arrived at the Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii amusement park after the 5pm hour by foot… I walked it from the Zippy’s Kapolei restaurant. I noticed that there were a lot of vehicles turning into the park. In front of the entrance there was a blue tent set up with Pepsi 12pk cans as well as frisbees. There were two females in Pepsi shirts manning the tent. A few feet away there were couple tables with employees and security checking people’s bags. Once I passed the inspection I went straight to the ticket booth line. As I was waiting in line I noticed there were other customers with the printed passes that was purchased through Flavorus. General admission for the concert cost $ 25. When it was my turn at the ticket booth I had showed the employee my Unilocal email notification saying that I won complimentary tickets for the concert. The male employee then informed me to check with the workers at the blue tent since they have the tickets on hand. I went back to the blue tent and spoke with one of the female employees in the Pepsi blue shirt. I showed her the confirmation email and informed her that I did fill out my form and that I have not received a followup email with the download code. The female had asked me on how many tickets and I informed her that the ticket was for only me. The lady then kneels down near a bag and pulls out a ticket for the Drink Aloha Concert with the Flavorus name on it. In my head I was praying«Please do not turn me away. I really want to attend this concert.» Much mahalo to the Pepsi employee for giving me a complimentary ticket for the concert.(sorry forgot to take photo of the complimentary ticket). I received my complimentary ticket for the concert. I go through the inspection line a second time. I bypass the ticket booths and proceeded to stand in line for the turnstiles. Another employee sees me with the ticket and wraps a blue band on my right wrist. I give my ticket to the male employee at the turnstile and continue to walk through the gift shop. Tourist mode after leaving the gift shop. My cellphone in hand I start taking photos of what looked interesting to me. I continue to head to the section of the park which was reserved for the Drink Aloha Concert. As soon as I passed another set of security to enter the concert area I noticed that there’s a section set up for fountain drinks and bottled water. $ 3.00 for a 22oz of fountain drink or a 20oz bottle of Aquafina water. Beer garden was available as well. Must be 21yrs old or older to enter. Show your identification card and receive another wrist band to enter the beer garden. I walked around the concert area and noticed the stage area for the bands has been set up. Decision of where to sit: Kauai, Oahu, Maui, or Molokai. Hawaii was reserved for the beer garden. Oahu it is… I set my belongings on the table and glanced around at my surroundings to see if I recognize anyone. I recognized a few customers of the 24hour convenience store that I work at. I seen my high school classmate Loushell and talked to her for a bit. I also seen my cousin Erika and chatted with her for a bit. I glanced around some more until I seen a fellow Unilocaler all the way in the Molokai section. I quickly grabbed my belongings and went to the other side of the concert area. I greeted my fellow Unilocaler Darin and hung out with him for the rest of the night. We chatted. We looked at our surroundings and spotted former Unilocal intern Alli and her boyfriend in the beer garden. I checked my Unilocal app to see who else checked in at Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii. I noticed Traci R and Keri S had checked in. Alli then makes her way towards the Molokai section and we started to chat a bit before heading back to the beer garden. Darin and I managed to meet Keri S for the first time and chatted with her a bit. Music performances by Natural Vibrations and The Green were AWESOME! Songs with the reggae beat got me dancing in my seat or up on my feet. A fabulous way of enjoying my night off from work. Listening to live music, dancing, and chatting with friends or family members. Major mahalos goes out to Unilocal Hawaii, staff members of Pepsi, the staff members at Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii, Flavorus, as well as local bands Natural Vibrations and The Green. Absolutely love events with complimentary tickets.

Not so sure why this place has so many bad reviews. Me && my husband had a B L A S T here! Maybe we just came at a good time on the right day lol. Most of the rides were super fun and some even scary as hell. The lines weren’t all that bad. The water felt amazing. && for only $ 50 you get passes to come here as many times as you like until December :) A little crowded, but should be expected on a Saturday afternoon. We paid around $ 25 for food and drinks plus $ 8 for a locker. Seems pricey, but was literally the perfect way to cool down and have an awesome time. Can’t wait to come back here again! P.S-If you’re a jealous wife(like myself) this is not going to be the best place for you. Definitely had to slap my husband in the head numerous times. Most women’s ass/cleavage are hanging out everywhere! hahah Now his ASS is sleeping on the couch.

$ 8 parking was the first surprise for us. The trouble with the door man not accepting printout Unilocal tickets was the second surprise for us. The $ 15 dollar locker was the third surprise for us. After that, we had fun at 4 different rides inside, the Tornato & the Big Kahuna was lots of fun. There are lots of young adults there, everyone was having fun. The lines in this Saturday night was about a 15 – 20 minute wait. Many security guards checking customers’ bags for food and drinks at the door. Only processed food inside the park.

Ok so, until March 31st there’s 2 deals going on– 1) bring in a specially marked box of Love’s doughnuts and BOGO free general admission.(At $ 50 or so, that comes out to about $ 25 per person.) 2) Buy an Annual GOLD pass for $ 50. My family and I chose this deal due to all the perks: — Free parking save(save $ 8!) — Free mini golf(save $ 11, unlimited!) — Free beverage bottle(fill the cup for $ 1.25+tax…sorry not sure how much you save there, but yay! I also heard you can get free water???) — Discount on lockers, cabanas, rentals for vests/tubes and what not.(Small locker is $ 15 and Large locker is $ 19. Upon returning your receipt and key, you get $ 5 back. If you have a gold pass, subtract $ 1 from the initial fee) —(1) Free Friend Pass: Basically you can bring in one friend for FREE between August and December. :) There are other perks but these are the ones we liked. Beware* for people like me who hate, hate, hate, hidden fees and companies trying to be all sneaky(it’s not the $$ really, it the sketchyness!) — when purchasing this pass online, it rang up to $ 52 and some change including tax. I entered my payment info and address and before clicking the CONFIRM button, it added a $ 1 «amusement fee.» My Mom hadn’t noticed the up-charge when she purchased her 5 annual passes and upon looking back saw $ 5 added($ 1 per person)!!! No info as to what the«amusement fee» is and when we got to the park and asked the girl who helped us take pics for our passes, she said she didn’t know. AWESOME!(not.) As promised last time, I avoided making any purchases at the gift shop. The park itself wasn’t crowded for a spring break day. Hours were from 10:30−4, but we spent an hour or so parking and waiting in their ridiculously slow lines(others have touched on the lines, I won’t go there.) Right now, probably until summer of 2015, there’s construction being done to make room for a new big ride(see the website!) There were very few rides remaining for the big kids and adults, so we ended up only riding like, 6 things, & that includes the lazy river at the beginning of the park(ew.) I’ll make my mini golf comments quick: We spent a good 45 minutes playing(and this was a rushed version) and it was a lot of fun! Definitely glad it was included with our passes. A little scary that some of the holes were so close to the road. Much bigger and more fun than it appears from the outside or even from the first few holes.
