Cutest little café in Katy, ever! Love this place! Cute date night spot!

Very cool place. Healthy menu. Very nice, awesome customer service. I prefer the regular milk, churned old fashioned ice cream but I can say I don’t like their ice cream, it’s just not for me. I really like everything about the place though. Atmosphere is great. My kids loved watching the fog from the ice cream. The little walnut snacks were the best. I’d come back for those!!!

Food: Green Tea Ice Cream — Super duper creamy! The sweetness level is just right. It’s good enough for those who don’t really like sweet to the people who enjoy spoonfuls of sugar! Affogato — The sweet cream ice cream is so delicious with the Expresso! Matcha Affogato — Mix of Sweet Cream, Matcha, Red Beans, and Mochi. Delicious but only negative is too much red beans for me. The mochi was nice and fluffy. Service: Great service. Very kind and very fast. Atmosphere: It’s a great place to come and hang out with friends, meetings, or study. It’s spacious and has a very calm vibe. I love this place!!!

The interior is beautiful; very modern and a great place to study. But their food is way too sweet. Their lattes and macchiatos gave me a stomach ache from its excessive sweetness. The crêpe had the same effect and was not filled with much. The shaved ice is alright but not good enough to order again. The visual of the food is great, as the owner is skilled at latte art and food placement, but compared to the taste of the food the price is way too expensive. The nitrogen ice cream is the only thing I enjoyed, other than their signature walnut pastries, but paying over $ 5 for one scoop is ridiculous.

The earl grey ice cream is so darn delicious!!! It’s creamy and delicious with a strong, but not overpowering, taste of tea. I’ve been craving it ever since I had it Friday night. It’s a 50 minute drive for me, but it is definitely worth it! Cocohodo reminds me of Caffe Bene in downtown, but bigger and better. I really like the ambiance and décor. The interior is really cute. Seems like a great place for a quick snack/drink, to hang out with friends, or to do school work(if you can work through the chatter of others) since there are plenty of seats. The worker that helped us was also very nice. He took his time to answer our questions and we greatly appreciated it. Tips: 1) They offer samples of the walnut pastry so you can try it before you buy it. They’re made fresh in the morning so the sooner during the day you go, the less likely your sample will be cold. 2) If you want to see the liquid nitrogen magic in action then order sherbet. All of their liquid nitrogen ice cream is pre-made because of how long it would take to make the ice cream by order. Their sherbet can’t be pre-made so if you want to see magic in action then you should order that. 3) If you get your ice cream to go then they pour some liquid nitrogen in the bag to keep the ice cream cold. I witnessed a customer walking out with their smoking bag and it made me very jealous. I think i’m going to have to order ice cream to go next time just to Instagram it! Cocohodo, why must you be so far from me? If you were closer then I would visit you so much more often!

This place is SO cute!!! The way that the whole store is organized is very relaxing and everywhere you look, you find different crowds of people who all enjoy the overall ambience of Cocohodo. The ice cream is so good and my boyfriend and I enjoyed watching them mix the liquid nitrogen in as well. I also ordered a coffee art Vanilla Latte and it was so filling and refreshing. Here is a picture!

Cocohodo is absolutely amazing. It’s like walking into another world. The ambiance and décor really sets you somewhere else and you immediately feel laxed. I absolutely adore the chalk boards, chairs, and table set up. The outside patio is also really cute and is connected by a door from inside the restaurant. I stumbled upon this place while Unilocaling for good dessert in the Katy area & I believe I found a new study spot. Their liquid nitrogen ice cream is delicious and super cold. I ordered a Nutella crêpe with strawberries and a scoop of their liquid nitrogen ice cream. We also ordered a Nutella latte. My boyfriend is a fanatic for lattes and I love dessert, so we were both able to get what we wanted and got to enjoy a delicious treat. The latte was really flavorful, and the crêpe came in two so it was more than enough! Will definitely be back for dessert again

Great place for dessert, lunch or even a place to just relax. They also have some outdoor plastic picnic tables which is where we had lunch today. We have been here many time for desserts, but today we came for the crepes. I have the chicken and veggie and my girlfriend had the Italian. Both where very flavorful and filling. Everything is made to order and homemade, which for me is a huge plus. If you have been you need to stop by and at least try the sorbet, may favorite is the mango & pineapple!

I came here just for the EARLGREYICECREAM(and I live in Houston) and was not disappointed. I LOVE how the tea flavor is very strong and with every bite you taste the earl grey fragrance. I brought some home for my husband(they give you ice in a bag for your to-go ice creams), and he keeps wanting to come here now. Man, they need to make some of this stuff, pack it in a ice cream carton, and sell it at HEB/Kroger/Randalls. We seriously need some upgrade to the cliché ice cream flavors like chocolate, vanilla and cookies ‘n cream. The only complaint I have is that I wished the ice cream was creamier, and also because the ice cream is made from liquid nitrogen, it’s not as smooth as regular ice cream and has little ice chunks. Otherwise, this flavor is just amazing. Also got the lavender latte on recommendation from the cashier. It tasted good but I thought the lavender note was on the weaker end. If I hadn’t known it was lavender latte I would not be able to tell. Also, the latte is quite sweet even though I asked for no sugar. Unfortunately it seems like the lavender powder is already pre-sweetened. There’s also a HUGE selection of Harney & Sons tea for sale, which was quite a pleasant surprise since previously I was told that only starbucks at B&N carries this New York based tea company. The store itself is pretty spacious and seems like a good place to study/work. If I lived in Katy I would definitely be a regular. Come check it out if you’re in town!

If you want to try one thing from here, get the ice cream. It’s made with liquid nitrogen!(cue ooooh and ahhhhs) I’ll be honest and tell you that the menu is overwhelming and a bit haphazard, but stick with the ice cream and you can’t go wrong. I’ve tried two flavors(green tea and peanut butter), and I feel like the liquid nitrogen ice cream is diff from traditional IC in that: — flavor is enhanced — much creamier /more dense — melts slower? We love coming here after dinner at Hoodadak :)

CHICKENSPINACH&FETACREPE This crêpe is very savory and I love the mushroom sauce, but wish there was more of it because it can be a bit dry without it. There are plenty of spinach and it’s really hearty and meaty. I really like this dish. It’s creamy, savory, and fresh. ROSEICECREAM Oh my G! This ice cream was amazing! I love the floral notes and it tastes so amazing. I could taste the lavender and it left a nice minty after taste. It was so refreshing. This flavor was a special for Valentine’s Day and I’m so happy I was able to taste it. EARLGREYTEAICECREAM This flavor is really good. I could really taste the earl grey and it’s not made too sweet. GREENTEALATTE I love that you could really taste the bitter/earthy taste of the matcha, but there is a nice sweetness to it too. It’s definitely something you should get if you want something healthy and warm. I’m always ordering items off the«secret» menu and the owner is always so accommodating and always providing us the newest flavors or his latest experiments.

First time here and love it! The place is very cute and nice open space. They have tons of options on the menu for dessert as well as crepes(sweet and savory). Ordered two different sorbets and it was happy hour time so I received 20% off. I will definitely be back to try other options.

I’m so glad Cocohodo is in the same plaza as Hoodadak. I have also been wanting to try this place and didn’t know they were so close to each other. And it definitely made up for the mediocre dinner I had earlier. My friend and I ordered the green tea shaved ice and a banana nutella crêpe. The green tea shaved ice comes with green tea shaved ice on the bottom, green tea ice cream on top with red bean, mochi, and walnuts. The shaved ice part was alright, but the star of this dish was the green tea ice cream! They make nitrogen ice cream here and the green tea flavor was really infused in the ice cream and the texture of it wasn’t as creamy as most places but it also didn’t melt as fast. I really enjoyed the combo of everything they put in here, too! The banana nutella crêpe was also very tasty. The crepes aren’t as thin as France, but we’re in Texas. They don’t skimp on the nutella or banana either and there was some with every bite. Overall, really enjoyable desserts, and I definitely want to visit again to try more of their ice cream flavors!

So I came in one morning to get a Lavender latte… sounded good… I opted to get it nonfat. But as I was paying, I was told that the latte doesn’t come with any espresso… if I wanted to add it in, it would be an extra 75 cents. Uh… isn’t that what a latte is? Espresso with steamed milk? I was a little thrown off by it. And I did not want to pay over $ 5 for this drink. I wasn’t impressed with my drink. It kind of reminded me of slurping flavored milk from after eating a bowl of cereal. I still really love this place and was really impressed when I ordered an original latte the previous time I was here. Sorry, if it’s a latte, espresso should be included.

I scream for cocohodo’s ice cream — and if you try it’ll make your tummy scream for joy. Would definitely get again: Earl grey ice cream — sweet, but not too sweet(fav) Green tea ice cream — strong green tea flavor and sweet just like yours truly Cocohodo pastry — tiny treat with red bean & walnut inside Would pass next time: Peanut butter ice cream — still good, but the tea ice cream is better! Great ambience & great for groups 6 – 10 people at most.

Nitrogen ice cream! Yummmm. I really, really like the earl grey flavor. It’s strong tasting, just like I like it. It is really creamy and smooth. Too bad you don’t get to see them make it :( $ 5 for 2 scoops is a little steep but it is really good. Cocohodo pastries are also really good. I got 9 for ~$ 5 which is also a little steep but they’re tasty and cute. I like that each has a whole walnut piece in them. The décor and space is really cute, and I would def study here if I still needed to study. ha!

Finally back, it’s been a few months since I’ve been back! The place is still very clean and well kept. After my daughters birthday brought the crew here after. We came for the ice cream making show after I hyped everyone up for the cool mixing machine + ice cream mix and the magic liquid nitrogen. Our go to is the affogato love the idea ice cream and express delicious not to sweet and perfect smooth consistency. The next one up is Earl Grey mmmm the fragrance the taste everything you can imagine with Earl Grey flavor you got it. It’s truly like a hot Earl Grey tea you just want to hold it and smell or waft the aroma. The owner Charlie is pretty much there all the time. If your wanting to know more about the ice cream ask him he will tell you what is in the mix maybe not the whole recipe but enough for you to know that there’s not any unnatural additives. Ask for samples Towards the end when he switched out the tank, he said the tank had to much pressure so he had to release some and the kids enjoyed every bit of it the smoke/fog over filled the area.

Cocohodo offers a nice reprieve from the suburban hum– drum, cookie cutter world of chain restaurants out in Katy. Step inside and you *almost* feel like you’re in Austin. The space is light and airy yet cozy. I love the coffee drinks(organic coffee!) and of course the namesake pastry, a beloved walnut and sweet red bean puff. Yum! Ask for a sample. They have sweet and savory crepes, nitrogen made ice cream as well as a vast assortment of teas & jams. I heard great things about their Green Tea latte; will have to try that next time. This is an ideal place to come to study or chat with your friends. The employees are super friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They have complimentary ice water and free wi-fi. If you’re lucky, they will be hand making these beautiful walnut pastries and you can peek through the glass window and watch the magic. There’s something about the machine and technique that is hypnotizing to watch. It’s a true art form. P. S. I saw that a Korean Fried chicken restaurant is opening next door! You heard it first!

Tasty treats: ice cream, coffee, tea and crepes. Expensive import from California. This place is located across the street from Drix wine bar. It’s a good-sized restaurant with free Wi-Fi and plenty of spots with electrical outlets. It has an IKEA-like atmosphere. The folks that work there are very friendly and are ready to answer questions. My wife and daughter ordered the crepes. Daughter enjoyed her strawberry crêpe. My wife also liked her Nutella crêpe with banana. I had half of my wife’s crêpe later, and it was tasty. I ordered the Affogato, a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream with cappuccino poured over it. The drink costs $ 6.69, but I found a Unilocal review from 4 months ago in a California Cocohodo that had the Affogato priced at a reasonable $ 3.50. What gives? We spent $ 21 for the three desserts. This seemed a bit steep. I may return and try a coffee, but it may be awhile before we return for dessert.
