I grew up in a town where Dairy Queen was the best of all fast food places. This Dairy Queen on Mason Rd, however, is by far an embarrassment to the entire company. It’s constantly filthy, orders are always messed up, and the drive thru line is always backed up no matter what time of day. The employees obviously don’t care about their jobs, but why would they? If they’re this bad, I’m sure the manager is even worse. I only go to this locations for the blizzards now, which are hit and miss on if they screw them up, if the little pieces taste moldy and old, or if they miss the cup entirely and you end up with most of your blizzard on the outside. Whomever owns this establishment needs a serious kick in the tail.

Went inside today at 3:30 pm(the outside line was at least 7 cars) and I SHOULD have walked right out! The overwhelming smell of raw sewage was enough to make me wrinkle my nose and look questioningly at the girl at the counter. Surprisingly, my order of tacos came very quickly(too quickly for me to change my mind!) and while they were exceedingly greasy, they were also short on lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. Bottom line, stay away, too other many options on Mason Road!

This place is rediculous! Can someone explain what they do in there??? It seems as if they are milking the cow and turning the ice cream just to make a simple blizzard. Oh yeah your old recipe for the ice cream was wayyyyy better. I would rather eat nails then sit 20 minutes in this drive thru waiting on a simple ice cream… come on even mcdonalds can make ice cream and food in a timely manner.

This place is definitely a hit or miss. My friend and I shared a Cookie Dough Blizzard and it was amazing! It had just the right amount of sweetness and the perfect ratio of cookie dough to ice cream. I ordered the Strawberry Kiwi Arctic Rush in medium and it was VERY sour. I took three sips and gave it to my friend. I couldn’t drink it anymore. My friend then ordered a Blue Raspberry Arctic Rush in small. It was also sour but a bit less sour. Overall, I recommend their ice cream and not their ice drinks. Also, service is okay. I believe they’re short staffed because many people have to fill a lot of roles. Staff is usually lounging around too, though. Also, the prices are decent! They’re pretty inexpensive for the amount of drink given. All in all, this place is a solid 3⁄5.

This Establishment is not clean and have little respect for there costumers. They do not have lots of supplements. I ordered a banana split 3 times and they didn’t have bananas all 3 times.

The blizzards were good however, there seemed to be limited staff and the woman at the front seemed to be in a mood but it may have been due to the lack of staff and the busy day. By time my 5 family members got our blizzards they were all melty and we drank them.

Rude employees. The new kid(boy) they hired is an absolute disgrace to the establishment. He is an embarrassment or should be.

Why would I order ice cream cones at drive thru to be told after I gave them my coins that they are out of cones — duh? My driver avoided barely hitting 3 constables that were ripping down Mason as eating ice cream out of a cup and one hand driving not wise. Tip — count your change as I am getting foreign currency and train tokens from folks and those don’t cash!

Employees don’t even know their menu items. I ordered a chocolate covered strawberry sunday waffle bowl and instead got a waffle bowl with ice cream and hot fudge… Not to meantion I waited in the drive through line for 20 minutes. So frustrating.

Sooo overpriced, food isn’t even good, rude employees, inside is never clean. McDonalds has better food and cheaper and cleaner. That’s sad.

HORRIBLE… is just the only word to describe this place. Went inside today to purchase a cake for my dad’s birthday and when I asked the guy at the front what flavor the cakes were he said, «Oh, it should say on there.» I even looked at the cakes before asking the guy an no were did it say if the cake was chocolate or vanilla or both. So he runs in the back trying to find someone who knows what the cakes are made of. About 5min. a girl comes out and says they are regular cakes both chocolate and vanilla. We than ask to have something written on the cake(i.e. happy birthday) the girl answers. «Oh … im sorry but the guy who writes on cakes is outside cleaning the driveway and no one else knows how to write.» talk about incompetence in this place… Needless, I did not purchase a cake from this location I called and tried to speak to a manager but, the same guy who was at the front of the shop would not let me talk to a manager and kept asking me what my call was pertaining to. Really its non of your business when a customer wants to talk to a manager you pass over the phone ENDOFSTORY. This is a terrible location I drove over to the Diary queen on fry rd and within 5 minutes I got my cake, and I got my writing on the cake as well. NEVER coming to this location again. I’d rather drive a little further to a different location with better service and more competent staff.

Been going to this location for years. The food is always good. I like the chicken strip basket and the Hunger Buster hamburgers. The blizzards are also great. Every time I’ve visited the store has been clean and the staff was friendly.

Service is really bad, waited 20 minutes for ice cream. Them when they brought the ice cream it was melted. They were not even busy inside. We also had to wait 5 minutes to have our order taken and they weren’t even that busy! Also my blizzard did not enough ingredients !!!

Well, what can I say about Dairy Queen. The food is what you expect, and ice cream is well ice cream. You can’t really mess that up, unless you aren’t listening and you are too busy with social hour. So, as for the establishment, I don’t have a complaint about the food other than it’s hit and miss. My issue is with that lack of discipline from management to control their employees with customer service and quality, NOT quantity. I’ve never dealt with a fast food restaurant that has such low quality in employee presence. You can’t hear the person over the drive thru speaker that is usually uninterested in their job; it shows from attitude of the people that serve you to the food you get. I get that you are in high school and the world sucks and this job sucks, but you have to learn a trade somehow. What you learn with this job now will help in whatever you do down the road in your life. As for the last 5 visits, it has got progressively worse. From the attitude of the people at the window to messing up a simple order; a medium Resse’s peanut butter cup blizzard does not equate to a medium Butterfinger blizzard; maybe the use of the word«butter» threw them off. Pay attention and do your socializing AFTER the customers are gone. If you don’t like your job, go find a new one. Life is too short to be unhappy with your job, ALLTHETIME. As for management, they need to look into the culture of their management style, hiring practices, and behavioral policies and enforce their policies if they want to stay in business. I would much rather pay more money to a Marble Slab or a Cold Stone Creamery just to get decent customer service.

There is not anything that can truly be said about this place that makes it great or bad in the grand scheme of fast food. There is never a surprise when you make it to the drive thru or go inside. Truly, unless there is a bogo type offer, I don’t go for horribly overpriced ice cream. I have to admit that I am still a fan of the chocolate dipped cone… even though it is cruelly overpriced!

My first job was at a Dairy Queen located in Canyon Lake, TX. I still love the food, 15 years later. While the employees here could use a couple lessons in A) English, B) Communicating, the food still tastes the same great goodness.
