Healthy Teeth Pediatric Dentistry

If I could give 0 stars I would. Started out good with the receptionist being nice but then the dentist came in and my 3 year old was in tears and scared. She had him lay his head in her lap which made him even more freaked out and scared. She also made him throw up because she was shoving the mirror in his mouth while he was screaming. She was annoyed that he threw up but then said that this happens all the time. (You gag kids all the time??) This was his first visit to the dentist and it was by far NOT a pleasant experience. Kids should NOT be afraid of the dentist and now my 3 year is terrified. I hope we can find a new dentist who will take the time with him and make him feel comfortable. Everything felt very rushed and not soothing or calming at all. And then she suggested that we do almost $ 2000 worth of dental work on a 3 year old!!!
The next week my husband came with my 8 and 10 year and she wanted to extract 5, yes 5 of my 10 yr old teeth. My husband stopped listening to her reasons. Her bedside manner is not very good at all. The funny thing is 1 week after this apt my son lost 2 of these teeth all on his own so why in the world would we pay to extract them??? Then about 2 months later he has lost another one of those teeth that she wanted to extract. again why pay to extract teeth when they are suppose to come out on there own??? I feel like they just want to take your money.
With my 3 year old we had paid the down payment of $ 174 for his dental work but cancelled his apt because I just did not feel right about putting him under anesthesia at the time because he was recovering from a cold virus. Plus I had a bad feeling about the whole thing anyways. I am glad I listened to my mom intuition. The office did not reach out to us again for 3 months to tell us that he is still due for his procedure and if we wanted to continue. (ummmmm don’t you think you should have called a lot sooner???) When I told them no we we going to find another dentist she quickly said ok and tried to hang up. She was not concerned at all as to why we were going somewhere else. I asked about getting the $ 174 back and they said it was non refundable.
Do not go to this pediatric dentist! We did not have a pleasant experience, she was rude and annoyed with how my son was acting. He is a really sweet and kind hearted child but was terrified with what she was doing.
