Palio’s Pizza Café

Groupon alerted me to a business that was only up the road from my residence. If you are driving too fast, you just may miss this almost corner pizzeria. When you walk in, you can tell that you are in for a slightly different experience. This place is open and inviting. The staff is just as inviting and willing to assist and suggest. I like that there is free Wi-​Fi for costumers and they sale pizza by the slice.
On every Sunday, you are given 20 percent off your bill when you bring in your church flyer. On Monday nights there is a carry out special where you pay $ 7.99 for a large 1 topping pizza.
For the pizza itself, you have to love the crust. The pizza crust is light and airy and they truly do not skimp on toppings. The toppings are most definitely fresh and you definitely will see plenty of them on your pie.
All in all, this is a great place to chill and eat a good slice of pizza. There are free refills on drinks, so pay once, eat many times, and drink often. Check Groupon to see if you can also save money on your initial visit.

I’ve tried just about every pizza place in Katy that delivers off S. Mason, and this is by far the best. I like the various ingredients, and being able to add fresh garlic. They deliver, or you can pick it up and save a few dollars.

Decided to order from here on a whim because of the 3.5 average review but if you look closely at the reviewers who gave 5 stars, it was either their first review or they give 5 stars to every restaurant they review or they say 5 stars without even mentioning any detail about the food. Unilocalers got this one wrong. I am a somewhat generous reviewer and only give a couple one or two stars, usually at least three stars, if it’s not very good but passable, four stars if it’s good, but I can’t give this anymore than a 2 star, and because of all the fake 5 star reviews I better round it down because of the inflated rating and because there is justification for one star
When I got there, it was a huge space with dozens of tables and I was the only one there. First of all, lasagna was below average to me, salads were unimpressive, came here on the basis that it has a 3.5 star review here and a 4 star review at another location. Personal pizza was tiny and they forgot the Canadian bacon. They forgot the two fountain drinks too and I had to remind them, but I really don’t mind that at all, especially because all the staff were really friendly.
The main problem I had was that I felt that I got so little value out of my visit. The gold peak sweetened iced tea tastes funny, they had a machine for iced tea but no iced tea in it, which should be fine if I’m not a soda drinker because there’s pink lemonade, right? But they were out of that too. Even the cheesy bread that comes with the lasagna was like a bread with cheese and garlic butter and unimpressive. None of the food makes me want to come back
I might come back to try their specialty pizza and add a star or two because the pizza itself is fine, but it’s unlikely I would try this place again. Seems like a poor man’s «pepperoni’s» pizza
Sorry, would like to give the benefit because the staff was really friendly! I just don’t think the quality of food is high, it’s more like a fast food quality if anything. If it weren’t for the forgetting of drink, Canadian bacon, and lack of gold peak tea and pink lemonade, I would probably give it two stars. I would still almost give it two stars even with the mistakes but the fake 5 star reviews made me round it down

i ordered a medium pizza with olives and artichokes. Don’t see any artichokes. I was 5 miles away, and was outside of their delivery area. Everything else was what you would expect in a pizza

I have really enjoyed coming here for their food. Absolutely love their Cajun chicken sandwich! They have a ton of variety with their sandwiches as well (if you’re not up for spicy). Whenever the owner is there, I am always greeted by kindness and customer service. I also really love their spinach salad with raspberry vinaigrette! So yum!

Ordered 4 pizzas –delivered fast and hot, but Yuck! Average bland flavor and not much cheese. I won’t be a repeat customer. Cost was $ 70!

I’m sorry but this pizza was awful. It looked like a dried up, day old pizza. No sauce and the cheese was so dry. I’m very disappointed. Pricy too

I know I am giving one star, but I hope this is just my experience. I just ordered for the first time an hour ago. I ordered a calzone, and a Greek salad. Simple.
The delivery guy shows up and I ask him if the marinara is in the box because I didn’t see it anywhere. I should have check while he was there. He said «yep it’s in the box» and dashed off. Low and behold I opened the calzone box and there was no sauce. I called the restaurant and the guy seems mad that the driver forgot it and said ok we will send some out. Meanwhile my food is getting cold as I write this waiting. I would’ve given it back because I’m just trying to get what I paid for, nothing more. So I guess I paid for an hour an a half delivery with cold food.
Let’s move on to the Greek salad. First off it’s made with iceberg lettuce, not romaine like it should be. Also, the lettuce isn’t that crisp, yuk. There is literally one tiny slice of tomato and one small slice of cucumber. In the menu it said that there is imported Greek olives. Umm… no. They are canned black olives. Not the Greek ones as listed. It’s absolutely disgusting and I could make much better and it sure as hell wouldn’t cost $ 6 plus tip!
I’m really disappointed and will never order here again. The man on the phone didn’t offer to give a certificate or replace the calzone with a hot one.

The pizza is pretty heavy and greasy, it’s a lot of bread and not much sauce going on… I’ve had better pizzas, but I must say they do have some interesting topping choices.

Delicious food for a great price! Very large portions-​we were surprised! We’ll definitely return and am looking forward to trying more dishes from their extensive menu. I recommend the Margherita pizza!

Tried this for the first time tonight. I’d like to give a 3.5 but I can’t, so 3 stars it is! Food arrived before the estimated delivery time, and it was still nice and hot.
Hubby’s pizza was delicious. He got the meat and cheese deluxe pizza and the sauce was yummy and the toppings were good. The pizza was definitely good enough to warrant a return visit, but I’m afraid I wasn’t so lucky.
We ordered the «spicy ravioli» appetizer and it was not at all what I expected. From the menu description, I pictured crispy breaded ravioli with a side of marinara. What I got was breaded ravioli served smothered in a spicy marinara sauce that is literally MARINARA MIXED WITH HOT WING SAUCE! Ewwwwww. This is not normal! After opening the dish, I even went back online to look at the menu to see if maybe I misinterpreted the description. Nope, it’s just very vague and misleading in my opinion. Hopefully this review saves at least one soul from this madness!
I had the Chicken il Palio entrée and it was just ok. The veggies and chicken were sparse to say the least, and the Alfredo sauce needed some pepper. Garlic bread is yummy, though.
We’d eat here again for the pizza, but I was definitely disappointed in the rest of my order.
Their food seems fresher than other Italian delivery joints, which I definitely appreciate.

Just ordered Palio’s for the first time. My calzone came with no cheese. Not a sprinkle. My coworker’s Alfredo sauce in her chicken Alfredo is runny, like the consistency of soup. So, so unimpressed. This will be the first and last time we order from them. There are too many other good places to get pizza around here to bother with bad food.

Excellent value for your buck! The spinach artichoke appetizer was one of the best I have ever hard, it is made on the spot and delicious. I also had the cannelloni’s with chicken and spinach! The portion was so big and the flavor delicious. I will be returning… Also the garlic bread is so soft with cheese that melts in your mouth. So good.

This was our first visit having just moved to the area. We really enjoyed Palio’s! We were greeted with a smile and a «hello» as soon as we walked in. We had called ahead and our to-​go order was ready on time. Once home, we opened up the boxes to 2 perfectly cooked pizzas: a King and an Italian Classic. The crust was great, not too thin and cooked just right, and the flavors were really good. I especially liked how they didn’t overload the pizzas with too much cheese. Overall, a great place for pizza! We will definitely be repeat customers.

Best pizza in Katy. I use to go to the old location on Fry because it was close to my work. Now its on Mason and its worth the exta drive to go there. The owner is amazing and the quality is great. And the lunch special is a steal :)

This was my first time visiting this establishment and I must say I enjoyed the visit. The manager/​owner greeted me and took my order. He was extremely friendly and even asked that I share my opinion with him once I finished my pizza.
The restaurant was clean.
The pizza was excellent it was not soggy or too crunchy. There was a perfect amount of crisp. The prices and portion sizes were fair. The menu had tons of options not just pizza. I was thoroughly satisfied with my visit I will definitely go back to try more menu items.

We love this place. Great pizza and friendly staff. This is always our go to place if we are craving pizza. Delicious!!!

Literally the BEST pizza in Katy. I only come here and they deliver which is awesome. They have a great dine in area as well if you want. I really like the Molly specialty pizza which is like a Mediterranean style pizza but they also have great basics like the King which is like a supreme. The Jack Daniels pizza is really great too.
Everything is also homemade which is a plus.

This is now part of my top 10 favorite pizza choices in the katy or even houston city limit. Great deals on pizza, high quality product and top customer service. Seriously a place worth putting on the map and recommending to others.
