T Jins China Cafe

My mom and I went to have lunch here and omg was the best place EVER! I highly recommend this place to all my family and friends.

Ordered the spring rolls, combination lo mein, jalapeño chicken, and egg drop soup. I’m super picky when it comes to Chinese food but this food was DELICIOUS! The spring rolls were crunchy. The lo mein had a great homey flavor and the vegetables still hard crunch. The jalapeño chicken was spicy for sure but that’s just the way I like it. The egg drop soup was as it should be. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the sweet and sour. It was too thin. I will 100% be ordering again! YUM!!!

I have never found anything I didn’t like here. I really think this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area. The portions are a bit smaller than their competitors but the food is always high quality & delicious. Their fried rice is by far the best I’ve had in Houston. This is the only place I will eat fried rice from. It is always soft, fresh, and flavorful. The Low Mei & Mei Fun noodles are also excellent. For dine in the bowl of soups are HUGE!!!

I just love how friendly and attentive the staff is. Customer service must be their #1 priority. Food is always fresh and delious! Love this place.

Well I’ve eaten at one Chinese restaurant since I was a little girl. A few years ago it burnt down and ever since I have tried to find Chinese food as good if not better. Well, still haven’t found it. We ordered the crab rangoons, shrimp egg foo young, pork fried rice, pork lo mein and sweet and sour chicken. When it arrived it was all very hot in fact the egg foo young was still sizzling. Unfortunately, the egg foo young really had no flavor, the sauce was a bit sweet. I wasn’t impressed at all.
Unilocal showed that I was 4.7 miles away, (they charge and extra $ 5 if you’re outside their 5 mile radius). I got charged that since I am actually 6 miles away. I didn’t mind the charge if the food was good. I was very disappointed. Won’t order again.

I love ordering lunch from here. They allow me to place and pay for my order online and it’s only a few mins from my home. My fav is the jalapeño chicken.

The food is good for dining in only. Taking it to go completely changes their food taste and I have no idea why. It becomes a soggy mess in their to go containers. Great for lunch dine in but not for take out. They don’t have dinner combos.

This place is awful. I ordered online and it told me an estimated wait of about 25 minutes. After waiting an hour for my food I called and they said they forgot about my order! I told them I expected the food over 30 minutes ago and they said that their wait time is never 30 minutes and that my food would be sent to me shortly. Once the food got there it was cold. Aside from it being cold it had a very artificial taste, definitely not fresh food. Will not be going there again.

I hate Americanized Chinese food. So I can’t believe I’m giving a strip center Americanized Chinese restaurant a rave review but here goes. Lol. This place is consistently awesome. It’s been around for a really long time and nothing has changed since it first opened its doors. The waiters make up for their lack of fluency in English by being attentive and incredibly accommodating. I forgot to take a picture of my food because I started eating already. They deliver, their lunch menu is less than $ 7 each plate, and the portions are ridiculously large. Bottom line, if you’re in the area and you want Chinese, this is the place to go. Heck if you’re not in the area, this is still the place to go. Happy eating, Unilocalers!

I probably should have posted this review a long time ago, but they have roaches. Ordered delivery and inside the stapled bag was a baby roach. We called and they picked up the food and gave us our money back.
Haven’t been there since and I used to be an avid customer.

I love their fried rice. One box fills up one person. Me and my boyfriend always order the beef fried rice! I been going to this restaurant since 2014. I had no encounters. They have friendly staff as well.

I wanted to love this restaurant but after trying 3 different beef plates, Mongolian, pepper steak and today the beef and snow peas, I won’t be returning. They all have a brown sauce that has a sweetness to it. I wouldn’t expect it to be sweet, judging from all other places I’ve tried but it is. The snow peas were over cooked as well.

I’ve eaten here several times and have enjoyed every dish I’ve ordered. Everything is hot, fresh, and delicious and they have very reasonable prices. A great place for a great meal!

I have been eating at T. Jin’s for years! One of the best Chinese restaurants in the whole City. Nice décor, great customer service, great value, and amazing food! I recommend anything off the menu, you can’t go wrong. When I lived in Katy I would eat at this place 3 times a week! I still try to make it out there on occasion, even though I live Downtown. Food is that good!

Simply put: fair prices, fast, tasty, great menu. Couldn’t ask for more for the local Chinese delivery place. Will be always our #1 take out in the area.

We were regulars at another restaurant for our take out nights when we craved Chinese, but their Pepper Steak was a little skimpy in the steak department, so we thought we’d check out a new location. When we found out their was a T Jins near us, we opted for one of our old favorites back in Richmond, TX. We called ahead for pick-​up and the young lady who took my order made sure to confirm which location we were trying to call, as there has been some confusion in the past about the various locations. I certainly appreciated the effort.
Pros:
They have the best sauteed green beans
Their pepper steak is really, really good and chock full of beef!
The combo fried rice has huge chunks of beef, whole shrimp, and lots of chicken
We love their general tso’s chicken
Cons:
Their combo fried rice, though it has big chunks of meat, it is not very well seasoned
Their crab rangoon is only Ok

What won me over was the no msg label on their brochure. I thought the food was pretty good. My general gso was good and so was the sweet and sour chicken but how could anyone get that wrong? All it is, is fried chicken lol. My only issue was that the sweet and sour sauce was probably one of the most disgusting sauce I’ve encountered. It was thick and jelly like. I even tried to microwave it although it was already hot but it was still gross looking and tasted off. Other than that the food came fast and service was friendly. The price was also reasonable

I’m truly not a fan of Amer-​Chin food and tend to avoid most of these types of restaurants. I know they aren’t all bad but these videos going around… lawd, I don’t want to eat any sauced up version of ratatouille. But every now and again I’ll get a taste for general tso’s or sweet & sour chicken… today it was the latter.
T Jins is about 20 minutes from my job so it’s really a trek for lunch but I went anyway. They have a very affordable lunch menu… most hovering closer to $ 6 for a cup of soup or egg roll and an entrée. I ordered the hot and sour soup with the fried thingys (I guess you have to ask for them because he didn’t automatically bring them with the soup). It was pretty tasty but I was disappointed it did not contain any mushrooms or tofu.
I decided to go with the sweet & sour chicken and it was just like I remembered. Nothing special just unseasoned fried dough and chicken with a red dipping sauce. Comes with white or fried rice, I chose fried and trust me it’s nothing spectacular. It is only rice, no veggies or egg… very plain! I didn’t even eat most of it.
The guy serving me was super duper friendly and that’s why I’ve knocked them up a star. I’m not likely to return because of the location but if you’re nearby, I don’t think you can go wrong ordering from here when you need your Amer-​Chin fix…

So to be honest I came here once before and it was great but there’s another Chinese place across the street and it happens to be next to a Cuban joint that I love and has huge pictures of the meals on the wall, so I haven’t been back here until today. It turns out the minimum delivery total of 10 $ is all it took, since the other place, china express, is minimum 15 $. Just wanted something simple so I figured what the hey, good enough. Egg drop soup for my wife who says it’s good, and I tried their beef fried rice and am going to town on it, wow it has so much flavor and I can’t believe I haven’t given them another chance b4.
Delivery was said to be 45 mins but it was 10, so I was pleasantly surprised when the door bell rang. Friendly delivery dude and I will 4sure be back!
Okay back the next day:
Yesterday was so good I’ve been thinking about it and back for more! I came in instead of delivery this time, I actually realized it’s free delivery anyway! That’s pretty cool. Obviously tip well but it’s just nice to see they trust the customer to tip vs mandatory delivery fee. While I’ve been here it’s hopping! Lots of people in the restaurant for a late lunch and people have been calling nonstop while I wait for them to make my food. The interior décor is certainly nicer than the china express across the street, and the staff here today have been very nice to me and I hear the way they talk to the other people in here and on the phone and they are just as nice to them. I think I may be converted here! I’ll try to include some pics!
