Absolute best coffee in town! Hands down. I come here weekly to work, and the atmosphere inside is great for that. Because it’s so close to the university, there are always students studying. Quiet, peaceful… and oh, the coffee is amazing! I usually have a Café au Lait. The roast is perfect, and the milk perfectly steamed. Great coffee, great atmosphere, great service, and great people! Pass up Starbucks, Scooters, or Caribou, and make your way here!

This is my new«go to» java place to start the morning when in Kearney! Friendly«Hello» when I walked in. I ordered the Americano and it was fantastic. Comfortable homey feel to the place; like a living room complete with track lighting. Pastries available to go with your coffee. There is a drive thru but it’s a bit hidden off to the side.

Don’t go here looking for good espresso. Service is friendly and atmosphere is pleasant, but espresso is harrrrsh, along with being the most expensive iced Americano I’ve bought anywhere in the U.S.

It’s coffee but I don’t feel it’s the best. I think it’s just what is available aside from caribou and Starbucks.

Barrista’s consistently crafts excellent drinks. I am particularly fond of their dry cappuccinos and dirty Chai lattes. My wife and I get coffee in Kearney weekly and come to Barrista’s 75% of the time, leaving Barrista’s satisfied 100% of the time. We love you Barrista’s Daily Grind!

I feel Barista’s is an outstanding business, the quality of the product is second to none in Kearney. The employees really make the atmosphere inviting to all.

Cute little coffee shop! Very good drinks and friendly staff! It’s a little way off the highway but right in the middle of town. I would stop there again.

I was passing through on my road trip from Chicago to San Diego. I needed done Starbucks, but there were none that I could find. I went to a few cafés in the area and they were dumps or full of old people with no food. This place has such a nice atmosphere and a nice crowd that I forgot I was in the middle of nowhere. The drink I got was an iced mocha and it was absolutely delicious! Pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent as well.

Civilization in the middle of NE! Worth the 2 mile drive off I-80.

We got some very good coffee drinks at the Barista’s Daily Grind, and had hoped to pick up some breakfast sandwiches to eat while driving to Des Moines. Sandwiches are still listed on their Web site, but apparently they stopped serving them on Jan 1, 2014. Potential customers should be aware of this.

When these Baristas are on there is no better coffee for 3 states either direction. Their attention to detail and the preparation of the products makes them 2nd to none.

Stopped in for a coffee and wifi this afternoon, got major ‘tude because I accidentally said ‘tall’ instead of ‘small’. Dudes– you are not a hipster coffee shop. Ya’ll blast Maroon5 on the regular. Pretending you don’t understand my order does not make you look cool. 2 stars because it’s 30 miles to the nearest alternative.

Solid pitstop in the middle of Nebraska. Granted, you do have to drive about 2 miles north of the highway, but I needed the small city distraction from the highway. I got a chai latte here and it was good. They have a solid menu, with bakery goods, bathrooms in the back and a drive through window.

Perfect stop in the middle-of-nowhere Nebraska on our journey from Des Moines to Denver. We were in need of some serious refueling. After asking too many questions about the drinks and pastries, I ordered a regular mocha for myself and a soy chai latte for the boy. I also snagged a cranberry almond muffin straight from the tin they were baked in. The mocha was one of the best I’ve had… and I don’t say that easily. You could taste the chocolate and espresso, but they blended quite well. It was the perfect boost of energy. The muffin was delicious! All of their baked goods are made in-house, but it must be someone who comes in the morning, because the baristas didn’t know much about the items. The bathroom featured a chalk board with the question«what’s your favorite winter olympic sport?» So many good answers. Cuddling is definitely the winner for me :)

We stayed in Kearney over night on the way to Colorado. Needing to get my fancy coffee fix I found Barista’s Daily Grind on Unilocal and decided to try the Mexican Mocha because of all the good reviews. I loved it and I’ve decided that it would be OK for me to drive the 7 hours from MN every once in a while just to have it again. Not all the time, but maybe on special occasions. I love you Mexican Mocha!

Cute café with friendly baristas and good coffee. Plenty of seating and outlets too. If you need to fuel up and you’re looking for an alternative to Starbucks go here. It’s tucked a couple of miles off I-80 but worth the detour.

Excellent coffee, customizable, good staff – open @ 6:30 am during summer. Breakfast burritos, sandwiches, bagels, desserts. The barista has a fistful of medals from barista competitions. He looks like he could have won those in body building contests as well. If you are driving through on I-80, this is the last world-class coffee between Lincoln and Fort Collins, and that’s a long ass java jonesin haul! I recommend a detour through the Pawnee National Grassland btw.
