Stopped by while travelling through town again and went here because the food and service had always been reliable. But this time was different, we were seated, given menus and we placed our order. It was a busy night so I expected that the food would be a little slow — but we waited 25 minutes and we still had not received our drinks, which we are supposed to get before the food(they were sodas — nothing complicated). During those 25 minutes we watched the people around us get refills on their drinks and get their food. People who came in after us even got their drinks. Our server also spent a good amount of time talking with a nearby table while we were still waiting. I can be very patient with waiters and understand the stress of the job, especially on busy nights — but 25 minutes for sodas? C’mon man! We walked out and went to Sozo American Cuisine across the street — a little more pricey, but the service and food quality was worth it. I think I’ll be going there whenever I travel through Kearney next.

I judge a restaurant on the ice tea. That amber color beverage over a ton of ice. The ice tea here sucked tasted like mud. Just gross & stale. Service was slow. Waited just to get my drink order taken, I was ready to order by that time. Salad bar was well stocked and very fresh. Had the Bella chicken with asparagus. Very good. Went to pay my bill, put a cc in the thingy, waited a while, waiter took it, brought it back & only my cc with a pin & the original bill. Nothing for me to sign. I waited for the waiter to return he never did. So went up to the bar to find him. I asked where were the copies I need to sign. So again I wait… he neededto locate a manager to reprint the cc receipt. So now I am wondering was I charged twice? Get better ice tea.

We were passing thru town and stopped at this Ruby Tuesday. We were given menus when we walked in and then waited awhile for someone to come serve us. Finally a waitress came and took our order. Mine came with the garden bar and after I ate my salad we waited a long while again. While waiting I watched a different waiter bring complimentary biscuits to the table next to us(we weren’t given biscuits). I watched the manager give a free steak dinner in a to go box to a lady that said the one she was served was slightly over cooked. I had a Unilocal coupon for two free cupcakes. I was told they didn’t have cupcakes anymore. I asked if there was anything to replace them. Our waitress said I could have ice cream. I didn’t want the ice cream and asked if there was a piece of cake or something we could get to go instead. Pretty soon the manager came to the table and said we had to get something comparable in price and talked about ice cream again. I said to just forget it and then he suggested a brownie. I said that was fine. He brought us one of the Blondies in a to go box. When we went to share it later, it was so dried out and hard that we couldn’t even break it in half. Getting our free complimentary dessert from this restaurant was a hassle and a half and not worth the effort.

Sat at the bar and had a drink and appetizers. Service and drink were good, but food was meh. People give McDonalds a lot of crap, but honestly, the quality is better than many of these chain sit-down places.

Cons… Curly haired server, empty restaurant no clean booths, dirty iced tea, server didn’t write anything down, I asked him to repeat it and it still came out wrong, sat with no silverware. If you’re into wasting time on a road trip and want to hang out in Kearney, NE visit this understaffed piss poor restaurant. Sorry for the negative juju but travelers beware!!!

I used to go to Ruby Tuesday on occasion when it was in my home state of Washington and I wasn’t impressed. After a long day of driving my husband and I decided to eat here since it was conveniently placed across from the hotel we were staying in. When we first arrived the hostess greeted us as if she was pissed she even had to be at work. No smile, nothing. After we sat down we looked at our menus and waited to be served. After about 15 minutes of sitting our waitress came over and hurriedly took our order. She seemed busy and overworked. They were absolutely under staffed. She was short with us and kept trying to walk away while we were asking for things. I ordered a glass of wine and my husband a beer. About 10 minutes later my husbands beer arrived but not my wine. She told us that the wine I chose was«not chilled» but at that point I didn’t care and just wanted a drink! A guy who must have been the manager came and brought my wine and told me that he would buy my glass because it was warm and they didn’t have any more wine glasses! After another 15 mins our food came and it was completely cold. Great tasting, but cold. By the end of our meal I was ready to leave and go back to the room. Before we left our waitress came over and apologized for how she was acting earlier which I very much appreciated it. However, it should have never happened in the first place.

Amazing prime beef bacon burger. It was so juicy. The waitress Jennifer was great. She made sure we were taken care of. Refilled drinks without requesting. Very sweet and will definitely come back. Even the fries were amazing and crispy. They have a salad bar to create your own salads and that’s awesome! Also got 2 free cupcakes with check in.

Went in on a Wednesday evening to sit at the bar around 8pm. Place was surprisingly busy and the bartender was flying around making drinks, he managed to get my order in a timely fashion. Salad bar was great and well stocked. Steak was a over-cooked for my preference, but since no one ever asked me how my meal was, I was unable to inform them and get it corrected. The flavor was delicious and the meat was good quality though. It was a little bizarre to see so many servers jumping behind the bar to make their own drinks. It made it a little annoying to have so much traffic going on right in front of me while trying to eat, but I guess that’s how they operate on a busy night. Overall, not a bad experience. It just seemed that the restaurant staff wasn’t experienced or prepared enough to handle the amount of patrons at that hour on a week day. It seems like a little teamwork would go a long way to maximize the enjoyment of the restaurant for everyone. Everyone seemed to be running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Late lunch, had the salad bar. Macaroni salad had no taste, potato salad was dry. All else was really good. Soap opera on TV drowning out the sound of the music.

There’s no wait at Ruby Tuesday’s for Sunday lunch. The place was 2⁄3rd full. Slow service. Out of blue cheese dressing, biscuits, and about 1⁄3 of their salad bar offerings. Salad bar was a mess — needs to be tended as they are at most Ruby Tuesday’s. Our food order took over 30 minutes to arrive and then it was wrong when it arrived. No wonder there’s no wait for a table!

Good service and good salad bar. I had the Salmon and it tasted fine but was not as fresh as I would prefer but for Kearney it was good. The salad bar seamed pretty fresh, well stocked, and tasted like what you would expect. Desert was just ok. Had cheesecake and it was clearly pre-made frozen variety.

I ate at Ruby Tuesday for the first and last time 1−5−14. Who ever heard of serving pasta without breadsticks? I was talking our waitress about this and she clearly agreed on this. Also it was 14 below outside and no soup on the salad bar. I guess they don’t sell soup there. I also order a JD and water. Weakest drink in NE. I’m going back to the Olive Garden, where I can get soup, breadsticks and the best Merlot around.

I’ve been there 3 times, and it’s been bad quality, bad service, and all around bad every time I’ve gone. It has potential but that’s sure not ever get me back again. This place just needs to close down. I’ll leave it at that.

Inconsistency — key word for this restaurant. The food is usually okay, but our last visit means we will never be back. We were placed with a new waiter — it was his second day and he was without assistance. We were there for a special occasion and the night(actually nightmare) was frustrating as heck. We complained to the manager and they stated ‘it wasn’t our fault we were short staffed as this would explain away putting a new waiter who was clueless as a standalone. I don’t believe this waiter even deserved to be hired in the first place as it seemed like he was on drugs or at least in another dimension. She made up for it by giving us a 25% coupon for our next visit(Which there would not be based on how we were treated by management). I wish i could say this was an isolated incident but this was our second such incident — a very special occasion absolutely ruined by lack of professionalism — we came away very dishearted. Like the reviewer before i would give negative rating if i could. This place simply does not have a clue or give a crap as evidenced by repeated bad experiences.

If i had the option I would give this place negative stars due to the cook. Lacey always orders her food with no condiments on her meals. She asked for a bacon cheeseburger with just the bun, burger, cheese and bacon. Strictly told the waitress this as always. The burger came back with everything on it. She then kindly told the manager about it when she happened to walk by before the waitress did. The manager asked her if she instructed the waitress on not to put anything on it and told her yes of course. The manager politely said no problem and told her that she would get a new burger. We are sitting at the bar that is DIRECTLY next to the kitchen with open windows where you can see the cooks. The white trash pint size cook starts arguing with the manager about who placed or did the original order wrong. We can clearly hear everything that is going on when it should not be a big deal at all. No less than two minutes later a burger comes out and is set down. You can still see bright red raw meat around the ring of the burger, and even falling apart it is so raw. The same cook is still talking about it in the kitchen and even comes out for a second to «check the TV for sports scores» even though he is looking to see if she will even touch it. Lace finished her potatoes and soup, leaving the burger aside. After paying for the dinner I told the waitress that the cook was being a dick and did it on purpose and she showed the manager how raw the meat was as well. Point is, you are a cook at Ruby Tuesdays, you get paid a hourly rate. There should be no argument or second thoughts about making a new burger for a customer. You are getting paid regardless to cook whatever is ordered, why make a big deal about it? Longest Unilocal I have had but i believe in customer service and this was HORRIBLE.
