I used to take care of my pool myself. Last year I started getting tired of it and just want to be able to enjoy my pool without thinking about all the work involved. I called and couldn’t believe they would come out and take care of everything for almost the same price I was spending on chemicals doing it myself. My pool is always crystal clear and I couldn’t be happier with the switch.

Was purchasing a new home and had alpha pool service come out and inspect the pool before purchasing the home. The service was very prompt and pricing was great. They identified a couple problems with the pump and filtration system and I had the owner pay for the fixes prior to purchasing the home. I would recommend this company to anyone in the process of purchasing a home with a pool.

Called these people because my pool motor wasn’t moving water one Thursday morning. Got voice mail. Recived a call back late the next day. They sent someone out the next Friday. He told me the motor had debris stopping the impellor from moving the water. Thought it took a while but it was fixed. I asked him how that happened. He told me the debris got in because the basket was broken. Two weeks later I had the same problem. This time the Polaris motor wasn’t running at all either. I called and late the next day I got a call back. I was told the guy would come back out about a week later. I told them I had already had them out to fix this problem and was told this was the earliest they could come. Repair guy comes out and tells me that there was debris in the motor. I asked how that was possible and he told me it was because the basket was broken. I asked how that could happen so quickly, to which I was told it was the same basket. He didn’t have one when he first came out so he didn’t replace it. There is a Leslie’s Pool Supply down the street from my house… Why didn’t you go get one? Or at the worst tell me to go get one? No answer. He fixed the issue with the pump and left. When I got home I went out to inspect and replace the basket that I went and bought. The Polaris pump still didn’t work. The pool pump was working fine. I called and a day later got a call back and I told them the issue and was told they’d send that guy back out. I told them I didn’t want that individual on my property again and was told someone else would come. Another gentleman came and called me and let me know the Polaris motor was burned out. I asked if that was because the main motor was running without moving any water through the system for some undetermined amount of time(my fault for not noticing). He said there was no way to know. I asked for a price on the Polaris motor. He told me he didn’t do pricing and that someone would call me with a price but he thought $ 425 to $ 450… I told him I was going to check online and I’d compare that to the price they quote. I looked the motor up online and found them from 189.00 to 219.00. Reputable companies. 3 weeks later I was called by the installer and told that he was coming to install the motor. I told him I never heard from anyone about the price quote he said«uh $ 450» I said«uh hell no». You would think that given that I believe they burned the motor out they wouldn’t try to make a killing on the motor. If you want to wait upwards of two days for a call back for every phone call, long wait times to sevice issues and to get way over charged for anything they replace, call these guys.

We purchased our home and within a few weeks our pool started turning a not so great shade of green! We called Alpha Pool and got service that same day with the diagnosis and treatment options including pricing information! Within a few short days our pool was beautiful again. We are very impressed with their service!

So a couple of weeks ago my regular(independent) pool guy goes out of town for a week and a half. The day after he leaves, the motor for the pump on my pool’s filtration system dies. In this heat, the water in the pool will start getting scummy without filtration in less than a week. So who to call… Since I like to support local businesses, I pulled out the Keller telephone directory(yes, it’s low-tech, but still better when most of these companies don’t have web sites) and perused the ads for swimming pool repair services and chose Alpha. I gave them a call on a Monday morning and they said they could get someone out the next day and would call in the morning with info. The next morning around 8:15, they called and said they would have someone out between noon and 3. The guy showed up about 12:30. He checked out a number of things to rule out something simple(like the capacitor which would have been a $ 60 part) and showed me what he was doing along the way. After he pulled off the motor, he showed me areas that looked fried and where someone had previously done a crappy repair job. Anyway, to make a long story short, I bought a new motor and also had him fix two leaks on the pumps. We’ve been in this house almost 3 years, but the house and pool are almost 15 years old, so it’s not a surprise to be replacing things(note to future homeowners!). Anyway, the service was prompt and the repair guy(Derek) was friendly and knew what he was doing. I felt confident with the service which I wish always happened when someone comes out here to do some work! While Derek was there, I asked him about their other services(for future reference). In addition to pool maintenance(I think he said they had 3 levels of service), they also do renovations. And with a 15 year old pool, I know that will be coming up sometime in the near future.
