Worst experience I have had in my life, it’s not even worth my time to explain the details. I’m very disappointed that a place I once loved so much has allowed such horrible service. Watauga, still good Grapevine, still good

A DFW staple. Best margaritas hands down. Do the Skinny Marg! You only need 2 max! Food is always consistent, full of flavor, and large portions. The meat they use is fresh and never frozen. The price for what you get can’t really be beat. Try the fish tacos, queso with spinach, table side guac, and anything with their chicken! So yummy. (Remember the 2 marg rule.)

Great margaritas and food… expect to wait in line on Friday and Sat. Nights. it’s not a very big place, but its worth it if you do.

Lucky, lucky Keller! I have loved the Grapevine location for years and think this new location is a great addition to the area! I think all their food is great. But my quintessential Baja experience is the house margarita, which is The Best, and the brisket tacos. Perfect meal. Margaritas are boozy here. Be careful!

We eat here at least one a week. The food is ok… but not as good as it once was. Service is slow and not consistent. If you come, bring your winter coat. The place is like an ice box and no matter how many times you ask them to turn it up, they don’t.

I love their food, but we have a hard time making it there before they close… says they’re open until 2am on Saturday, but all the chairs were upside down on the tables by 9:45!

Went in to baja today, server denied us patio seating, yet seated the people behind my friend and myself on the patio! Order a drink and took 10 min to get there although we were the only table being waited on and no one sitting at bar. Our server texted the entire tine until 2 more people walked in and wanted patio seating which they went directly to instead if asking him, which I guess is what we should have done. Server still hadn’t come by so I then proceed to take our chips and salsa out to the patio as he’s still texting on his phone. Server never came by to wait on anyone on patio although we were the only business they had at 12 pm. We had to finally leave after waiting 20 min on patio for anyone to come by. I’ve been to baja in grapevine which is always a good experience. This was my 2nd time at the one in Keller, and I’ve always wondered why it is so empty. Now I know why. Terrible service. And I’m in the service industry. Had to rate to post, but I give zero stars!

Not impressed with the speed of service even with the store half empty right after Sunday service. Took over 5 minutes for the server to get us chips. Another 10 minutes for him to order. Being a new restaurant, I get the feel that they are trying to figure out the pace of things and understaffed Food was OK, nothing exceptional compared to the options nearby. Probably won’t be back unless they figure out a way to pick up the pace.

Queso — 5 stars — very flavorful and they give you a huge bowl. chips– 4 Stars — then were very crispy but kinda of small. Spinach quesadillas– 5 stars Never had them before and I’m not a fan of quesadillas. But these were good. You can definitely tell they use fresh ingredients. The spinach was such a vibrant green and was cooked perfectly. There also was a generous helping of spinach on each little pie piece. Im usually a fajita person but this place sold me on spinach quesadillas. Margaritas– 100 stars to go with the 100 proof alcohol they must put in their margaritas. If you get the large and are driving home only drink one and never drink more than two. You have been warned !!! I would definitely come back here again. Service was just so-so asked for more salsa, never got it. After we got our meal we saw our waiter once near the end of our meal ordered another margarita and then never saw our waiter until it was check time. But because the food was so good and we got our food quickly I will keep my rating of 5 stars.

I didn’t even know this was here! I had been going to the one down 377 near Target. So happy I finally realized then same restaurant was just down the street. This may be a smaller restaurant but the food is just as good, and it’s never loud and crowded like the other one can get. The food comes out super fast too! There is a bartender that works here that looks exactly like the little Asian Boy Scout in the movie«Up», it has nothing to do with the restaurant but he’s really nice and it makes me smile. :) Update 3⁄2015 We got our usual brisket Flautas but they weren’t the same… They were thinner and one tasted like it was soaked in soap. I hope this was a fluke.

We have been eating at Baja’s on North Tarrant Parkway for years and love the food… and drinks, the Margaritas and Isa’s queso are the best. I was happily surprised to find this one closer to home. The food and drinks were the same,(good) service was good and unlike one of the other reviewers, I found the quieter atmosphere more appealing. I didn’t have to yell across the table to talk to my wife. Their menu is a little limited but has all the basic Tex-Mex entrees.

We are big fans of Baja in Grapevine, which we live right by. It only made sense to give the Keller location a shot now that I work right next to it. Keep in mind, the Grapevine location is not affiliated with any of the other local Bajas due to a messy sounding divorce, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Fortunately, the menus are basically identical. When I ordered spinach enchiladas, my standard at the other location, it came out looking and tasting almost exactly the same, possibly even better. The major improvement is the atmosphere. Spacious, with interesting and cohesive decorations, this location wins out over the cramped and somewhat oddly decorated Grapevine location(giant taxidermied fish above the bar anyone?). They’ve also got beer on tap, including some good local craft options. Service was very attentive and friendly, food was delicious, and I had fun looking around at the decorations rather than actively trying to avoid eye contact with a dead fish. Awesome!

I didn’t realize until recently that a Baja Grill was located on Keller Pkwy. Me and The Hubs generally go to the one in Southlake, but this was nice to find especially since it’s much closer to home(don’t care for the layout of the one in Watauga). We’ve only had lunch here a couple of times so far, but have enjoyed it — especially the second time. The second visit was the best primarily due to our server who was super-nice, attentive, and efficient. We were never out of anything. Salsa and iced teas were topped off even before they were empty(the first time we ate here, we had to flag down our server for refills and the check, and it wasn’t busy in the place at all — almost didn’t go back because of the service that day). The food is good here, although some things are better than others. The first time I had the Tacos al Carbon lunch special which was actually kinda boring and had a weird presentation. The meal consisted of two rolled flour tortillas with some grilled meat inside with maybe a little onion(nothing discernible, anyway). Anyway, these rolled tortillas were placed on top of a bed of rice, which I thought was weird. Who wants to pick these things up with rice stuck all over them? There were refried beans on the plate, as well as some guac and sour cream. The rice and beans were good. The tacos were edible, but boring. I haven’t had this dish at any of the other Baja Grill locations, so I don’t know if this is how it’s always presented and tastes. So the second time, I decided to order a dish that I almost always order at the Southlake location — the Pollo al Comal. It’s a grilled chicken breast served over a medley of sautéed/grilled vegetables(zucchini, onions, bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms, and maybe something else) and comes out on a sizzling platter(like fajitas). It also comes with a side plate of rice and buttery sautéed corn. I love vegetables so I’m always looking for some on menus wherever I go. This is a good choice here. I can honestly say that the Pollo al Comal that I had at this location the day I went was better than any I’ve had at the Southlake location, mainly because the Southlake location tends to use a little more oil on the sizzling platter than I like. It was delicious and satisfied my vegetable craving. In hindsight, maybe I’ll just ask them to use as little oil as possible no matter which location I’m at and hope for the best. Anyway, we’ll be back. And I’ll have to check it out for dinner sometime soon. I’m way overdue for a margarita hangover!

Ate here when they first took over from the prior fish place. I love the Baja Grill on William D Tate in Grapevine, so was very thrilled to try this new one in Keller when visiting my mother. I’m afraid to say that I might like the Keller location better. The beef fajita nachos were the best I’ve ever had. I’d highly recommend this location.

Long time traveler to Watauga location. Now we have another great option here in Keller Great salsa, fish dishes… And KILLER Margaritas.(We always order The Skinny Perfect… Be careful with these babies). Recommend the Ceviche and grilled Mahi Mahi Tacos! Friendly and attentive staff.

My friend and I ate here recently and found the fajitas great. They were made to our specifications. I didn’t want the beans or rice so they kindly served me additional guacamole upon request. Their margaritas were good as well. Will definitely return.

I really want to be a fan. The Watauga location is a fun place to be and always slammed, this spot is a completely different vibe. Way too slow. It could be too close to Funky’s, although I, prefer the food here better, the service and the atmosphere is just not at the fun level that most people expect compared to Watauga. Make it fun, give great customer service and you’ll win.

We’ve been to the Watauga location of Baja Mex Grill many times over the past few years and have really enjoyed it — except that it is often very crowded. We found just the opposite at this new Keller location. Just a few doors down from their sister restaurant, Funky Baja, this new location has a similar feel and the same great food. Wait staff were very friendly, but S-L-O-W. We were amazed by how slow. Now, we were there early(about 4:45pm) on a Wednesday — so not exactly a busy time. There was a manager(spent so much of his time on his cellphone I took a picture, but I’ll refrain from posting it), a bartender and two servers. About a half dozen or so tables were seated. And I could barely get ours to come by. Hoping they work this out, because we really like the food and the convenient new location. We’ll try again this weekend.
