Disappointed. Paid for tune up of my mountain bike and every issue I indicated I was concerned about was not taken care of. I guess you have to have a bike costing over 800 dollars to have your bike serviced there.

I hadn’t ridden my mountain bike in years, so it was time to take it to the professionals for a tune-up. They got my baby purring once again and it was off to the trails for some fun. These guys are professional. They know what they’re doing and their customer service is top-notch! They stand by their work and their bikes. If you’re into riding, then a shop like this is a MUST. Their knowledge & experience is invaluable and they provide that free of charge. Plus, they’ve got Shannon Brewery(local brewery) on tap. How cool is that? If you’re into cycling or biking trails, go see these guys. Heck, if you’re just looking to get into the sport, go see these guys. They can fit you for a bike and make riding experience a whole bunch better. See ya on the trails!

I went into Knobbies and Slicks this afternoon skeptical. I had been thinking about getting a cyclocross bike for a few months and had done lots of research and was pretty set on the Focus Mares AX1.0. However, my friend suggested I go to K&S because they could get me the best deal on a bike. I was very skeptical, but promised to at least go hear what deals they had before going with the Focus that I had my heart set on. I had already bought a bike here previously. In August, I bought a Juliana Furtado here and, overall, it was a pleasant experience. I hadn’t wanted to spend that much on a cyclocross bike though and assumed anything decent that they would have would be out of my price range. Javier went over all my options that they had on their floor with me, which involved piecing together a bike from parts that they had. They were all good options, but nothing I was really thrilled with. He then pulled out his catalog for the brands they carry there and pointed out the perfect bike just under the price range that I gave him. I had actually seen the bike online but assumed it was out of my range because the components were better than anything else on that level. Javier then spent a good amount of time making sure he was ordering the right size by taking the time to get me on the trainer with a bike of similar geometry and comparing the size to a bike I told him I had previously ridden. Basically, great experience and I’m being set up with a bike better than I originally picked out for myself for about the same price.

Best shop my wife and I have been to in the Metroplex. Excellent service, repair and maintenance is first rate. They carry brands that are among the best in the world and you won’t see yourself coming and going like you do with the big brands tha others carry. They treat every one well as I have been there many times and have watched them treat people who are entry level and experts the same. There is a deep base of understanding of the brands and how they are made and why they are so good. Definitely worth the drive to see them.

Bud and the gang have created a full-service shop offering all kinds of bikes, service, advice, group rides, and beer! Bud also offers ReTuel, which is a hi-tech bike fit. They have kept tabs on trends and brands and have a true following in DFW. The bike mechanics have a good eye and great knowledge for fine-tuning your bike. I’ve depended on them for years for advice and bike fixes that have kept me rolling. Bud constantly keeps the stock of bikes fresh and fun and the guys offer a lot of common sense and advice to the novice and the long-time roadie. They also have increased their stock of fat tire bikes for those who like off-roading adventures. And of course, K&S has remained a go-to shop for group rides, community rides and supporting good causes Definitely worth a peek if your looking to step up your ride. Drop by. They are friendly and ready to help you with whatever questions you have about cycling!
