I don’t leave Unilocal reviews but I am compelled to today… Mike gave me the best haircut I have ever gotten. I am embarrassed to merely think about let alone say how much I have paid for a hair cut in the past. Where have you been all my life Mike?
For reference: I got a pretty standard crew cut and I have a full head of hair.

These wonderful barbers have been cutting my sons’ hair since their first haircuts sitting on my lap. The shop is very comfortable and friendly. Adam and Michael are my boys’ personal barbers now, and John is also great with kids.

I have been getting my haircut at Old West Barber Shop for 10 years now. John and Adam are the best. They are so pleasant, and friendly. They’re masterful at their trade. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
The atmosphere is old west with artifacts from days past. With John Wayne movies playing, and posters of real Texas Rangers, it’s a rare treat.

Completely met my expectations from a barbershop. I had tried another barbershop since moving here to NRH (I’m on the Keller border) from Plano. Michael M. cut my hair, trimmed my moustache’, ears and completed it with a neck razor shave as expected. I wanted more of a military style cut and he performed it as asked.
The shop has the John Wayne flare’ (even the entrance and outside look shows it) Wild West touch so to speak.
I’m definitely coming back here again.

Man… It’s hard to find a good «old school» barber.
This place is awesome though, classical barber. Everything was perfect. I just wish they were closer to my home instead of close to my work.

This is the baber shop you remember from your youth. Step back in time, take a load off and chat with some normal guys for 20 — 30 minutes. I have been getting my son’s and my own hair cut here for 10 years and have no complaints. You can ask for a 2 and a 4 and they will know what you are talking about. Adam or John are my go to guys here, ask for them by name! Candy for the boys and straight razor neck shaves for the men, what more can I say. Hope it never changes!

The Old West Barber Shop — where real men come to get a hair cut.
Started getting my hair cut here in 2004, moved away in 2006, then back to the area again in 2010 and didn’t give one thought about going anywhere else. The owner, Big John, is a pro barber in the old school tradition and will do it right every time. It will be a sad day if and when he decides to retire.
