Really sad it’s closed. the new place don’t cut it. I noticed the last couple of months(? my time space continuum is often«off») the name is not the same and wondered if they changed ownership. We decided to give it a try and yes new owners. The menu is different. the people inside is not the same people. It’s also more expensive! Yeh no more taco tuesdays. no cheery and friendly people either. a teen took my order, he didn’t smile or say thank you or even give me a receipt. there was a man with his baby back in the kitchen. I thought why are you bringing a baby near the kitchen? then a woman finished putting our orders together and she kept looking at me like«wtf?» barely said thank you when I left. ok I can almost stand for rudeness(think«Soup Nazi») if the food was excellent! but the food was not. got carne asada and it was bland and tough. ugh… bummer it was really authentic and good before. they do have menudo which I want to try but hesitant now. oh well back to El Charro or some other joint in the neighborhood.

This place is as close to authentic as you can get up here. I grew up in Southern California eating tons of Mexican food and had a tough time finding a place to fill the void– until I found Julianitos. I love taco Tuesday, carne asada fries, and carne asada/fish tacos. Who cares what the interior looks like? You’re there for good food. The only thing is that you feel like you’re going to scratch your car when driving out of the drive through. Kinda scary.

Not bad for Mexican fast food. It’s like your local taqueria bus/truck down the street but with seating and drive thru. The atmosphere is fast food joint back in the 90’s where atmosphere and aesthetics don’t matter as long as you got good food. Well most of their food is good. Most… I feel bad to only give them a three star rating as the few things I have had there were great. Today I ordered the carne asada torta and my brother got the bean and cheese burrito and a side of chips guac and cheese. My torta is what I had expected, great, a little salty than I’d like but still pretty darn good. It’s simple, you have the torta bun, meat, some lettuce and guac. Add on some of the red salsa they give you and it’s delicious. My brother actually likes his bean and cheese burrito. The last time he came here he ordered the vegetarian burrito, with which he wasn’t very pleased with and a side of chips, cheese and jalapeños. The veggie burrito was a «veggie mess» according to my brother. The chips cheese and jalapeños were just chips, sprinkled on some cheddar cheese which wasn’t even melted and some pickles jalapeños and carrots and onions. That isn’t listed in the description. Needless to say his impression was not so good. Today’s items satisfied him. The bean and cheese had a lot of beans and cheese and his chips, guac and cheese were good for the exception of the cheese. They never Melt the cheese before giving it to the customer, so it’s technically not nachos if the cheese isn’t melted. They may as well use cojita cheese instead, would look and taste better. Overall, I like my meaty menu items that I have tried and would like to come back to try out more stuff.

My fave Mexican joint! This place was like crack during my first trimester. Very inexpensive and HUGE portions. Thanks to my cousin for giving us the entertainment book for a bogo deal. Yum!!!

The salsa is authentic and omg so delicious! ! I’ve had the pork and chicken taco. Very good and falvorful. Didn’t like that they had to charge a dollar if you used credit card. Very unprofessional for a business. Not the nicest of places in terms of décor; But food is good and worth giving a try. Will be back to see if different food is as delicious as previous meal.

Went here for taco Tuesday(5⁄12) and I was extremely disappointed. I ordered 4 grilled chicken tacos at the drive thru. However, when I got home and took a bite of the first taco, I bit into something extremely sharp and hard. Luckily I was alright, everything could’ve gone bad. It felt like I bit into a rock. I found that their chicken still had some stray bones in them. Not only was I displeased with the bones. I was displeased in the overall food in general. Their meat is so low quality. Tasted like the meat has been sitting out over night and they still cooked it. I only ate one and a half tacos, I wouldn’t dare eat another. The meat was just so dry and disgusting like their tortillas. To top it all off, I had that slight feeling of food poisoning –___– my stomach felt like crap, I felt so fatigued, and I puked twice within the hour after I threw away my food. Couldn’t eat anything the rest of the day. Step it up, Julianitos.

Ok since I’ve last been here everything has gone south… Disregard my last review about this joint. The food was terrible, the cleanliness of the restaurant was poor, the ventilation was crappy… Either they changed ownership or they are skipping on many levels of service to cut corners…

After reading all of the reviews for Julianitos, I figured I’d give it a whirl. I’ve been on the quest for the perfect California burrito for a while, so it was worth a shot. My girlfriend called in my order for takeout, so I can’t really speak to the dine-in experience, but they were quiet when I got there. Super helpful and friendly, and they let me know that my order was almost done, just waiting on one item. I wish that I knew in advance about the $ 1 service fee for credit cards, but seeing I would have had a $ 2 service fee for using their ATM, well, I’ll deal with it. I brought my food home: chicken/cheese quesadilla, california burrito, and a half order of carne asada fries that were so raved about. As a whole? I wasn’t overwhelmed, wasn’t underwhelmed, wasn’t even«whelmed.» It was what I would expect for Mexican food, the prices were good, the service and experience was good, but it wasn’t an amazing experience. The quesadilla was a bit greasy and the chicken gristley; the fries weren’t horrible, but the meat again had a bit more fat and tendons on it, and the meat was well seasoned but the rest was mediocre; and the burrito was good, despite the meat being again, fatty and gristley. Portions were great for the price, though. Especially the half order of the carne asada fries. If that’s a half order, man, I don’t know if I could stomach a full order! Maybe it’s just me and the fact that I got back from the gym and my body was screaming at me «No, no fatty foods, eat healthy!» rather than me being drunken and craving Taco Bell and wanting to eat more homemade and authentic Mexican. Maybe I caught them on a bad night? I don’t know. I’d check them out again, though. I’ve had and seen far worse, and the prices and basic quality here make it worth checking out.

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of Auburn, I look at my life and realize there is no California burrito. Enter Kent. Finally! I’ve been searching for a good burrito place since moving here from Omaha and living in San Diego. There are SO many amazing Mexican places around here which is great, but sometimes I just want that California burrito. I’ve been here a couple of times and it hits the spot. I had the chips and cheese too which were all stuck together into one nacho by the time I got home so that was no bueno. The burritos are good though. Nothing mind blowing though. If I end up working in Kent I will probably have to pick a couple up on my way home every once in a while. The drive-thru is a little nerve wracking. The cement barrier is so close to your car, just asking you to scrape along side it and destroy your bumper. Other than that, this place gets the job done. If anyone else knows of another good California burrito joint, I would be happy to know about it. For now? Julianitos! No, Siri. NOT Julio need toes… Ugh

Breakfast burritos are the bomb. So big and filling and pretty authentic too! Chorizo is good, sausage pretty good, but ham and is THE way to go. Mmm I crave this place The drive thru is soso tight and they take a while to make the food even for being fast food but the quality makes up for it all. So good.

Normally come here for $ 1 taco Tuesday. Didn’t mind driving here from Renton or Des Moines, but now that they’ve changed the name and don’t do taco Tuesday anymore I probably won’t be coming back here since there are other taco places closer to me that are just as good/better. Wish I knew they changed it before I came though.
