Felt no different than home cooked food! Hot chapatis, sabzis and a sweet to complete the meal! Worth the 20 mile drive from Seattle just for their food! Highly recommended.

If you want authentic Indian food, come here but be prepared for a wait as it takes a while for your food to come. Also, everything is vegetarian so if you want meat, you are in the wrong place. All the dishes here are well spiced, flavorful and comes with different traditional side dishes. They also have yummy Indian desserts. I like the orange dessert that looks like funnel cake. will be back again

This place is pretty awesome! The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because I didn’t try any other food from their menu so this review is for the items I did try: Samosas– very good! Perfect samosa crust and not too oily and potato filling is good and of course the chutneys that’s go with it are also great! Sweets: I got a small variety but my favorite was the khoya! It’s a gulab jamun with cream filling! Ladoos were also fantastic! I’ve only ever had one other place but I really liked the one they have here. Coconut gulab jamun of course are good too Masala chai: soo yum! There’s nothing like a good chai and this one is definitely a soothing one and not too sweet. I’m bummed that this place is allll the way in Kent but I think it’s worth the detour if going south ;). Next time I would love to try their malai kofta. The décor inside is really cute and they play great music. Oh and it’s vegetarian! Love it! Next time I drive to Portland… #punjabsweetspart2

The mulai kofta is seriously one of the most delicious things I’ve ever put in my mouth. And the veggie pakoras mmm mmm mmm! If you don’t like yogurt they’ll give you extra pickles instead, and the pickled carrots are fantastic! We really love this place, we get a free samosa plate when we check in on Unilocal and the chutneys that come with the appetizers are so good! So fresh and flavorful it goes perfect with fried food. If you’ve never eaten here, you need to, treat yourself to some sweets! the crème filled one is my favorite, the besan is my second favorite. Really great food!

Vegetarian Indian food & sweets only. The food is incredible & the sweets are delicious. One of my favorite places to eat in the south end. Would give 5*‘s but some of the waitresses are not very kind. Don’t expect smiling happy faces or even a thank you. Maybe getting your food to go is the best idea so you don’t have to look at grumpy faces while eating. Wish they’d hire good front of the house workers!

I was really happy when they remodeled this place few years back. The décor looked great and had better professional service compared to what it was few years back. My feedback is based on my experience this weekend. I ordered over one for 4 samosas and requested them to be bagged separately in 2 to-go boxes. The girl who took the order asked why it can’t be together. Remember, customer is king if the ask is a reasonable one. I also asked if we can have a little bit more green chutney since the amount they give with a samosa order is very little. She said I have the option to purchase more chutney. When I went to pick up the order, I see chutney boxes is different sizes with prices marked right next to the cashier desk. Obviously they were higher priced, but the miserly attitude when giving chutney with an order really threw me off. I am a paying customer and I expect to receive a more than decent amount of sides. Don’t get me wrong, the chutney they provide with this order is minute… On the good side, I asked the girl whether she can give me a little more and she was really good about that and didn’t charge me for the extra chutney. Overall their policy about penny pinching has to stop. They can sell as much chutney as they want, but don’t be too miserly, please. You have a reputation to keep!

I used to love this place and tonight was surely disappointing. The food was watery the samosas were filled with spicy chunks of partially cooked potato and the Naan had a stench of vinegar. I am only giving 2 stars because I really hope this was an off day. Consider many of the other Indian choices in Kent.

One of our favourite restaurants for Indian food. Their thali is sumptuous and has a very home-made food feel. The chapatis are so soft and well-made.We’ve tried almost every combination of curries(you get to choose 3!!) for our thalis and enjoyed every single one. Malai kofta, rajma, and palak paneer being the most liked ones. Makke di roti with sarso saag is also good, but it is more of an acquired taste. Unfortunately, the place is not very close to where we live, so never had a chance to try casually drop by to try their snacks/chaat. In the sweets department, khoya jamun is to die for, and my husband loves the jalebi. Would be so great, if khoya jamun was part of the thali instead of the regular gulaab jamun! We’ve also used their catering services. Oh and how could I forget the paranthas– Aloo, mooli, gobi — all melt-in-mouth tasty! Apparently, they had a branch on the Eastside which is no longer there. I am sure they will be in demand if they start services on the Eastside. Service — Can be a bit too slow at times. They also tend to play loud music, but are usually accommodating with the requests to turn the volume low if needed. Simple and clean seating. Friendly staff.

Bring in your appetite, eat away to glory!!! The food is SO authentic, it’s unbelievable! Try their parathas, aloo gobi, bhindi, papdi chaat. The flavors are so well brought out, makes me want to personally meet and thank the cook! For people with sweet tooth, you’re in for a treat. Laddoo, kala jamun, carrot halwa cake are my top picks!

I’ve been there for both dining and catering needs. At times, it takes a bit of time, but the food is worth the wait. It’s delicious, feels light and fresh. Authentic, homemade north indian food… Decently courteous service to go with it… A bit expensive if you compare it to other comparable joints though. The best part there is their sweets — especially jamun. Feels and tastes fresh every time we’ve got it. Kids love it.

The food here is still extremely authentic and good. I still always get the saag every time I come here. I also highly recommend the sweets. The gulab jamun(fried cheese balls that taste a bit doughy even though there is no wheat) in a sweet syrup are fantastic! I also appreciate that they allow you to buy as many(or as few) sweets as you want instead of requiring you to buy ½ lb minimum. Because who can eat that many Indian sweets? Especially if you live alone or with just one other person. The one thing that has changed is the service. Now, you wait in line and order at the counter, tell them which table you will be sitting at, and they bring your food to your table. You still get your own water/silverware, though. They also have you go back up to pay at the end. I find this kinda weird but can also see that you might want to order some extra bread or a dessert so want to keep your tab open.

A perfect place to get homemade food. The food is really delicious n made fresh. If you plan to visit don’t forget the free Samosa offer on Unilocal. Do try the makki roti and saag. Cheers

Hands down, the best and the most authentic North Indian food I’ve had in the Seattle area. For appetizers, I had a channa samosa plate. Honestly, this was the best samosa I’ve had! Very tasteful, not oily and it went very well with the channa and chutney. For main course, I ordered a thali, which is a pretty good deal since you get to choose 3 entrees and includes 2 rotis, rice, yogurt and gulab jamun. I had sarson da saag, rajma and mutter panner for the entrees. I even ordered a maki di roti to go with the saag. Every single item that I had was delicious! It was heavenly! The sabzis and rotis were served hot and fresh. I was savoring each and every bite. Even the yogurt tasted so good! It was just like the homemade yogurt back in India. The gulab jamun was superb! In the end, I got some jalebis and kalakand to go, which I ended up finishing within a day! The staff was very warm and friendly. I even met the lady who runs the place, to compliment her on the dishes. She spoke to us for quite some time and was very sweet and humble. I’m kicking myself that I only discovered this place now, after living in Seattle for over 2.5 years! Now that I have, I’m sure to become a regular here.

The first and only restaurant in the greater Seattle area that has AUTHENTIC Indian Food. Absolutely outstanding. I can’t believe I’m giving 5 stars to a veg restaurant but the food really blew me away. The aloo paratha is massive and delicious. The thali for $ 15 is an awesome deal. It comes with 3 veggies that you can pick, 2 chapatis, rice, curds(yogurt), pickle and a gulabjamun. We ordered 2 thalis and tried almost all the veggies. They were fantastic. The chapatis are small though and it’s a good idea to order some extra. Also, the makki ki roti is very nice if you are getting the saag. We also got some jalebis which were nice but would have been nicer if they were fresh and hot. All the sweets are prepared fresh in house and you are spoiled for choice. Overall, absolutely outstanding and authentic Indian food, very good portions and decent prices, friendly service and the comforting feel of home. Can’t wait to go back here for more. p. s. A samosa plate free with a Unilocal check-in.
