Countryside Cinema is definitely one of the better places where you can get value for your money if you want to see a movie. I have been going here for about 20 years, and have rarely had any complaints about the place. They used to get movies really late, where you were better off getting it on video first, but fasting forward to today they are really good about getting movies at an accurate time. Most of the time, if the movie is out, they will have it starting that weekend. The place has four movies only, which is a downside, but you only have to pay $ 4.00 for a ticket, which is really hard to beat for anywhere else in the area. They will even allow you to buy tickets ahead of time for a later show if you prefer which prevents you from waiting in line for tickets if a really popular movie is on their screening for that particular weekend. They usually show movies on the weekends at around the times of 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, and 9pm. On the weekdays, movie times are usually limited to around 7pm and 9pm. The popcorn is pretty good, and the refreshments as a whole are reasonably priced as well. I usually get the«Special #1» which is a large popcorn and a large drink fro $ 6.25. Most places would charge $ 10.00 at a minimum, so you can see what a good deal you are getting. Candy is $ 2.00 which is reasonably priced as well. The theatre isn’t spotless by no means, but is clean enough where you can enjoy yourself without having to worry about sitting on stepping on something disgusting. Occasionally, there are gum on the bottom of some seats, and some of the cup holders are broken so you must check them before getting comfortable in a seat so you won’t be left holding your drink or putting it by your feet during the movie with the risk of knocking it over if you jump during a horror film or crack up laughing during a comedy. I am not a huge fan of he bathrooms, which I think could be cleaner, especially if you have do more than just«#1.» I also think they should reopen the arcade they used to have which was located on the far left side of the theatre when you walk in. Overall, I really do like this theatre. Movies are getting more and more expensive these days, so it’s refreshing to have a very affordable theatre that shows quality movies in the area. It’s not The Grande or Carmike by any stretch of the imagination. But it’s really worth the value for the money you play. For example I can purchase my ticket($ 4), a large popcorn and a large drink($ 6.25) as well as some candy($ 2) and spend under $ 15.00($ 12.25)! That’s just really hard to beat these days. Definitely check it out though!

This movie theater is hidden in the back of the plaza it’s in, be careful there are some pot holes! The movie theater only accepts cash, to pay for the tickets and if you want any snacks or refreshments. The absolute benefit is the tickets are only $ 4 for everyone no matter the age. They always show the latest movies that you would find in any theater. The seats aren’t that comfy, you have to re-adjust in your seat a couple times throughout the movie. Also the bathrooms are a little dirty and downtrodden. But if you’re looking for a new release and don’t want to pay a crazy price, this is your place!

Reasonably nice at a very reasonable price. They do not have a mega screen, but for $ 4 it is worth it.

You get what you pay for. $ 4 first run movies! The seats and theater are old, but if you want better you can spend the extra money and go to a new one. This place is fine for us!

If you’re low on cash and just can’t wait to see that new movie, this is the place for you. If you’re a huge movie buff that wants a quality experience when seeing your movie, this is most defiantly not the place for you. I do have to give this theater props on the $ 3 price tag for their tickets, but you really get what you pay for here. The floors are almost always littered with popcorn and a sticky mess from what I can only guess being soda. The screens are a moderate size, but the seating is straight forward. In other words, if you’re a short person and you have a 6 foot man sitting in front of you, you’re going to be constantly stretching your neck to get a view. Not only that, but the chairs themselves are just about to fall apart. There’s been more than one time that I have had to find another seat due to it leaning back so far it’s on the verge of collapse. So if you have a last minute Friday night get together with your friends and no where else to go, this is the place for you. Oh, and one last important detail: they only accept cash, so be prepared!

This movie theater is by no means the cleanest, or most well staffed movie theater in the area. However, you really can’t beat the $ 3 price tag on newly released movies. My family will often go and pay for 4 tickets for a whopping $ 12 total. That means there’s even enough money for a large bag of popcorn on the side! There is definitely no IMAX or 3D movies, but honestly, $ 12 is the price of *one* movie ticket in DC. I’d forgo those fancy wrappings for a nice, cheap movie anytime. Not a good date spot, but great place to bring friends who want to watch a movie on the cheap. Keep in mind that the movie theater only shows 4 movies at a time, usually the same four movies for a week or two. They are also only open from around 5 – 9 pm(about 1 showing every 2 – 3 hours for each movie) on the weekdays and 1 – 9 pm on the weekends.

I am not a huge movie buff but any means, but I do like treating my son to a movie every now and then. This theatre does the trick. At $ 3 a ticket you can’t beat the price, and the concessions aren’t as bad as the big theatre’s either. The negatives are the seating, while comfy and they do have cup holders, they squeak a lot and it isn’t stadium style, so if the theatre is full(which it usually isn’t unless it is a weekend big movie) I have to put my son on my lap so he can see. Also, we were there last night during the storm and when we left there were pools of water by the exit doors inside and out. We continue to go to this theatre because it is a good value. I am really sick of being ripped off at the big theatre’s, especially with the new 3D pricing. My son is perfectly happy just going to a movie without the bells and whistles.
