Thyme is a great market for all your gluten free, healthy living needs. I’ll be honest — the kitchen area does not seem clean enough for me to ever order from the café, BUT I am there all the time for their great selection of groceries! Thankful to have a place like this in the neighborhood.

Things I LOVE about this place: They have an organic menu. Their soups are amazing and their juices and smoothies are absolutely delicious. They have an amazing selection of vitamins and minerals. Things I don’t like: They are very overpriced!!! I can get an organic smoothie or juice in Manhattan for cheaper than here. Also, many of their products can be found at Trader Joe’s for much less. The customer service here is AMAZING! I true mom and pop shop. Everyone who works there is eager to help. Although it is a bit pricey, I will continue to frequent this shop simply because it feels good. I will pay for good products and great customer service.

Had a natural juice and it was very tasty, if I remember correctly it was OJ with ginger. Perfect for my cold at the time. They sell a nice variety of things and it’s mom and pop feel is great!

Great place for anything natural/organic. A bit pricy but worth it. I don’t like corn syrup and I know when I am here none of the sweets have it which is a huge plus. Tyme

I love the mom and pop feel of this place! Organic and family owned… This is the kind of small business we should all be supporting! The staff was SUPER helpful including the adorable little old man who sat on a stool in the front of the store and said, «thanks for coming in,» after he helped me find the dog treats. I mean how often do you hear that in a grocery store? They have a nice variety of food, produce and supplements. Get your fresh made organic green juices and fruit juices here, in addition to homemade foods like hummus, veggie burgers and soups.

This review is for the market, not the juice or coffee. The prices are pretty high except the on sale items comparing to many natural stores. Their fruits are not fresh. The apples I bought were old and had a strong refrigerator smell. I truly hope it will improve as it’s the only store that carries enough organic items around the neighborhood.

This is somewhat a very difficult review to write. I grew up, and live in Park Slope, Brooklyn. I am spoiled to have several Health Food stores, and vegan/vegetarian restaurants in the neighborhood. I have been looking for a Health Food store in Queens(boyfriend lives in queens) When I came across this online, I was SOEXCITED!!! I started fantasizing about the toiletry products I could buy, nuts, beverages, vegetables, and food to stock up here in Queens without having to haul it from Brooklyn on the train. Often crowded subway train because it’s after work. I visited recently, and found some basics to bring home: –toothbrush –raw almonds –avocados I make my own almond milk at home, and I was very disappointed with the nut selection. They were also in these plastic containers. I felt that this wasn’t very Eco friendly. In addition, I typically buy a large bag. I felt like the options were limited. The avocado was really small(none of them were close to ripe or the size of the avocados that are organic that I usually purchase). The prices compared to my expensive, overpriced, rapidly changing neighborhood were significantly less than a lot of the items sold here(ie: nut milks, beans, rice pasta, vegetables, nuts). Needless to say, it is a small space, and they try to do as much as they can with the space(so I can see how this is difficult). I love the message, and will support any store that is promoting healthy foods, and wellness for our beautiful bodies. I was just disappointed because I am used to seeing certain items or certain items in a specific flavor/scent and they were not sold here. I can not complain about the customer service. The gentleman at the cashier was VERYKIND. I had a question about an item, and a flavor that they didn’t have. He seemed eager to look into it. I was looking at some protein powder individual(another brand I looked for they didn’t have) and the woman behind the café counter was very sweet. If I lived a block away I would be forced to come here(and I would settle and be happy with some items). I will still come here for essentials to support this Mom and Pop business. By the time I travel, I may as well of hauled that heavy cart on the train: sigh:

I enjoy coming here to grab a healthy snack or a juice! I just came back to the office with a Relaaax juice and am really enjoying it. I haven’t tried the deli items but definitely will next time I’m looking for a decent lunch(which is hard to find on Queens Boulevard).

Went in this place for the first time today. I’m a fanatic for anything natural/organic and fresh. Had a full blown conversation with the owner who is super kind and generous – gave me and my bf complimentary coffee. She went to culinary school for being a natural chef(I forgot how she called it) and believes in only the best products for her store. Btw her store is vegetarian/vegan friendly for the most part everything natural! Definitely will be a regular from today on.

I live in Rego Park and I use the subway so it takes me a couple of trains and a bus to get there… but it’s SOWORTHIT!!! I’ve visited a couple of other health food stores in Queens but this place is the best because 1) the staff are friendly 2) they are professionals who know what they’re selling 3) their prices are competitive.

This is the closest health food market near my apartment, so I will give it four stars. It’s a bit crammed and tight, but I guess that’s New York. While the juices are organic, I’m almost sure they aren’t cold pressed. Nice service. I do enjoy the carob bars they offer. I wish they carried bigger packages of goji and the real deal Manuka honey. Over all, it’s convenient for majority of my needs.

This place is somewhat of a Smörgåsbord of Mom & Pops shop + nutritonal supplements/health drink spot. The SPACE is like a corner street deli. The SERVICE was cordial all around from ordering to paying. I came in here because I thought Jamba Juice was a bit sweet lately and I didn’t feel it was actually healthier than just purée-ing veggies myself. So upon reading some Unilocal reviews, I found this place and I went straight there to get my juice fix. They have a few options in terms of juices, juices and veggies or just simply veggies. I asked the girl who would end up making my juice on something that was good for the liver since I feel the need to get it on the right track. She didn’t really know which to recommend so I opted for the weirdness option, the one with 1 oz WHEATGRASS shot. This was one of my biggest mistake of my life… second to that other time I thought it was a good idea to overuse Wasabi to kill bacteria on raw sushi. Yeah, that day wasn’t my brightest and this day apparently wasn’t that either. The concoction which had beets, carrots, kale and other ingredients ALLORGANIC was great. What WASN’T was the WHEATGRASS. For the love of GOD… not only did the juice no sit well with me for the next 2 to 3 hours, I also COULDN’T rinse the taste of wheatgrass from my mouth. Bleh…I must have spent $ 10 on water, juice, and anything else that had a completely different flavor to try to subdue the aftertaste. Nothing worked. Unless you have an ironclad stomache, STAYAWAYFROMWHEATGRASS. As far as their other juices goes, I’m sure they are all great and healthy. But I’d probably be less likely to make a return visit anytime soon… for juice at least. They do have a lot of nuts and other knick knacks like that so I might go back to check on those. Also, the PRICE is more expensive than Jamba Juice which I would assume it was because it is organic. A Large will run you $ 7.75 but the size of the cup is really a medium at all other shops. The things we do to stay healthy…

They carry a nice selection of gluten free groceries. Also purchased some freshly made items. The quinoa primavera was excellent and the kale salad was good too. Look forward to trying more of their healthy, vegetarian dishes.

This is a convenient neighborhood health food store and juice bar. The food is healthy and tasty. The prices are reasonable. The service is great. I live in the area and shop here for a quick healthy meal and to pick up some essential items. They have good soups and salads. I particularly like to hunt for sale items and to stock up. I can get some great deals. Natalie has been working here for a long time and bought the store from Linda years ago. She really helped take it to a higher level with computer scanning and enthusiastic clerks and chefs.

Great prepared smoothies and food. I also love their selection of health foods. Browsing their aisles is so much fun. But alas, like all health food stores, this is definitely not priced like the Associated a few blocks away.

It’s hard to give a bad review, when they actually strive to provide quality. They provide quality. I walk in, it’s bright, neat and everything is organized. It’s spaced out just right. This midsized store has small aisles. One lady was hunching over to grab something, so I couldn’t pass, so I waited until she was done. But back to the fact that this place is the only health food store that I saw had sales. I like the variety of products they offer, the first as I enter: a handful of organic brands I never seen before, from chips to cereals to drinks. There are tubes of grains, rice and beans. I bought a pound of this expensive organic wild rice at $ 4.99 a pound. They have Jim’s organic coffee beans. For those extreme worry warts out there, they have a good handful of chemical free cleaning and household products. There’s loads of vitamins and products like Thyroid support and Immune support. In the back is the refrigerator section with wholesome frozen foods. I didn’t explore the whole store, not that it’s that big, I might have missed an aisle or a few items but the other aisle had fresh organic veggies, a juice stand, cheap! $ 3 and change. There is also prepacked sandwich here. The really great thing I saw was the lady behind the counter was making the muffins and baked goods right there and then. As friendly as can be also.
