This is the Southernmost Pats bar ever. They have happy hour– beer came down to about $ 3 per can. They also have oysters at happy hour prices. Its ok. Since its called Island Dogs Bar, would be nice if they had actual dogs.

Stopped in here on a quest for a Key West bar crawl t-shirt(should be called the 300.00 t-shirt because in the end that is what we all spent trying to get it). We all ordered the signature drink for the stamp for the t-shirt. It was a 13.00 Key Lime martini. It lasted about 2 sips and one of us guzzled it even faster to rid of it because it was disgusting. I didn’t think it was that horrible but I don’t have a need to get another or even go back to this place based on the prices. There are a ton of better places to hit in Key West.

We are visiting and sitting on the sidewalk. Good music, drinks are the standard fare, but the server has literally walked by us several times and never offered a drink. We finally asked her and after 10 minutes of not returning, went to the bar ourselves. It’s fine to sit here and have a drink, but go to the bar and get your own drinks. Service at a table sucks.

Everytime i walked by this place it was dead. It definitely has an inviting feel to it though. One night we decided to give it a try. It was trivia night and it was pretty boring. It was an equivalent to playing bingo in an elderly home. Not impressed

Don’t let the«KW Locals» stickers on the outside fool you in to thinking you are on to something good in Key West by eating at Island Dog. Sit down eating for three took 1.5 hours… too long given the short time I had to visit via Key West Express. Oysters grilled were fine, spiny Florida lobster should be something special but was cooked terribly wrong… undercooked, questionably fresh. The third dish turned out to be the better tasting, blackened mahi but over cooked for my taste. Basically they are not taking the time and putting in the care to serve a quality dish… it is like most places on KW… shove them in, get them drunk, make some cash. Too bad.

No dog menu, but they did bring my pups water on the patio. Food was normal bar fare, nothing special. I can say that the spinach dip was very tasty, but they served with stale chips so eh.

They treated us rudely; service was super slow; did not offer even paper napkins; Pina Colada was just a glass of shaved ice without a cherry

Island Dogs Bar was our best find of the entire trip to Key West/Miami. Their yellow awning with the words«Oyster Bar» caught my eye. We had tried to order oysters at Red Fish Blue Fish earlier in the day but they were out. So I insisted we stop in at Island Dogs because it was my goal to get my friend to try raw oysters for the first time. We arrived during happy hour(M-F from 4:30 — 6:30) and got to take advantage of the specials. I ordered a whiskey sour and my friend ordered a beer. We also got a ½ dozen oysters and conch fritters. The entire bill was only $ 18.22 before tip. What a steal! The oysters tasted fresh and luckily my friend liked them, or I would have been hearing about it the rest of the trip. As he said, you could taste the saltiness of the ocean, but it wasn’t overly fishy or seafoody, especially topped with the cocktail sauce and horseradish. Although I’ve been craving oysters for a few months now, the conch fritters were actually the highlight for me. They were amazing and better than any I had during my recent Caribbean cruise. I loved the flavor and didn’t even need the dipping sauce. The bar had great service and a great vibe. I’d definitely go back if I’m ever down in Key West again.

I got the Chili Nachos. Hubby got the Lobster Roll. Both were delicious! The chili nachos could have been shared! Way too much for one person! Service was prompt and courteous. Definitely recommend this place. Oh and sit outside to people watch!!! Interesting people to watch

An open air bar and restaurant near where the glassbottom boat was departing so we popped in for a bite. The service was adequate, no complaints there. My husband enjoyed his oysters. I have the chicken sandwich and we not impressed. It was just sort of plain, nothing special. It was supposed to be a jerk chicken with plantains and a few other things to jazz it up, but I was board. The chicken seemed kind of dry. We wouldn’t go back but I’m not sure if you can really expect too much from a bar.

I can’t say enough about Island Dogs! It’s our #1 spot when we travel to Key West. Our favs are the fish or key west pink shrimp baja tacos(on another level) yummy wings, hot dogs & the best darn Bloody Mary on the island. Not to mention the staff is friendly, funny & all around amazing!!! We LOVE Island Dogs!!!

I love this place. Food, especially dogs, excellent. Fun during the day or night… open late, lots of space, great live music. Waitresses and bartenders very nice… Best lemondrop shots in town and i think their key lime matini was the best in town too.

We stopped here for dinner one evening since we were looking for somewhere not packed and also not on Duval Street. The food and service were pretty good I felt. I think the waitress we had was newer but she was really fantastic. She checked-up on the table throughout the meal and would refill our waters without us asking. She was very nice and helped make suggestions off the menu. Another patron was complaining about her for some unknown reason, but I thought she was one of the better servers we had in Key West. Really I can’t figure out why the other table was complaining about her. We started out with mojitos, which were probably typical of many other places. I had the appetizer nachos for my entrée and it actually turned out to be way too much food. I really liked the nachos though because they used chili instead of refried beans. I thought this gave it a unique flavor and made the nachos different from many other restaurants. I can’t remember what my friend had now, but I remember her saying it was good. Overall I was pleased with the meal and would probably stop by here again.

We stopped by here for drinks with a large group midday. Service was friendly and quick and the place was bright and clean. I love the dog theme. Although we did not order any food we had a great experience nonetheless.
