We came across Katy and VOWS when we were hopelessly looking for someone to help us, not only have a wedding in Maui but also with a vision in mind.
So many Wedding Planners on the Island are your cookie cutter «everyone fits in a box» wedding planners where they have the same three bouquets to pick from and the same cakes to pick from. Then when we would call and speak to them about some of our ideas, it was always «Oh no we can’t do that» or «That’s not possible». Then we came across one lady who mentioned Katy VOWS.
From our first conversation, she was a CAN DO type of person. Anything little thing we wanted, no matter how small, she found a way to make it happen. She had a way of calming me down in the crazy frantic last six months of our planning. She and her staff made our wedding day truly seamless and honestly PERFECT.
Katy is the type of person that commands respect from everyone she works with. It’s truly amazing. All while being a good listener and very compassionate to your every need.
She and her staff are originally from Seattle, Washington and is now branching off into Maui, HI. We were so lucky we found her. She truly was the mastermind into putting our dreams into reality. We could have never done it without her.

I recently hired Katy to help plan my Maui wedding at the Olowalu Plantation House… and I am certainly glad I did!
As an event planner myself, I know how important hiring a wedding planner is for your own big day. Without Katy there on my wedding day I would have been one seriously stressed out, micro-​managing, high strung bride. But I could relax and truly enjoy the entire day because I knew every last detail was being taken care of – Katy was on it! She is extremely detailed, always thinking 3 steps ahead, ensuring a plan is going to be executed just how you want it to. She is very quick to respond to every request — even when I didn’t expect to hear back for a few days, I would get a reply within an hour.
Katy is also a great resource for planning a Maui wedding. She has wonderful vendor contacts and referrals, and really knowledgeable about the Island, venues and activities. It was great working with someone who lives in my hometown (of Seattle) because we could meet in-​person, and we were in the same time-​zone. She was also great about being in contact on-​Island, easy to get in touch with, and really seemed «on-​call» for the few days leading up to the wedding.

When we were planning our destination wedding in Maui, we wanted someone who was both knowledgeable and experienced with private estates in Maui. Katy had the experience and relationships on the island, so we hired her for a day-​of coordination package. She provided us with vendor referrals, a check-​list of things we needed to take care of (the fun stuff like the food and desserts!) while she took care of the other details. All her help gave us peace of mind and was a major time-​saver. She was very responsive and always at our finger-​tips when we needed her, especially when we arrived on Maui. On the day of the wedding, I did not have to worry about a single thing as Katy was always three steps ahead of me. I was able to really relax and enjoy the time with family and friends. We’re SO glad we hired Katy to help with our wedding — it was definitely the best investment we made!
