Very biased and has a clear agenda to sell the products that she is a distributor for. The wait times are longer than average, 45 minutes at least, and while she does spend a good amount of time in consult with you she doesn’t spend the time listening but rather explaining her personal views. She also requires you to come in every three months in order to refill prescriptions, even for maintenance medications, she says it is to check vitals but it does cost money and she does push her vitamins every visit. If you inquire about a drug store option for a vitamin she recommends she scoffs. She also pushes her nutrition ideas though that isn’t her specialty, and of course she sells a meal replacement shake for that. While I don’t mind that she’s unprofessional in terms of her clothing choices or manner of speech, I do mind all the extra expensive tests and visits to be told each time that vitamins are the answer…

Takes time to follow and explain. Not typical rush job although I am a no maintenance patient.

Dr. Hoffman is the most money driven doctor I have ever seen, to a point she is irresponsible. She will not refill your prescription unless you go every 3 months for an appointment, no matter how important the medication is. She will not work with you, even knowing you have no money to pay for her expensive fees and the tests she asks for or you explain to her you have no car and it’s very difficult for you to get to her office.
The last time I had to go there just so she would give me prescription for Prozac. She gave me it for one more month, no refills. When (after a long battle over the phone with her assistant) I asked for her to, at least, prescribe me Prozac for 2 more months that would cover me until I can find another doctor (considering she prescribes meds for 3 months at a time) her answer was she could not do it because the last time I was there was about a virus and not about my depression. It happens I did go because of the Prozac for my depression but at the time I was also having some sort of virus. We talked extensively about my depression at that time. But for her is more important to get paid, no matter if I am going to run out of antidepressant and get suicidal as a consequence.
If you are looking for a responsible doctor, caring and understanding NO NOT GO TO HER.
