Stokes County Fair

My family and I have been twice. The first time we went (2 years ago), it was much nicer. This time was pretty sucky. I like the fact that admission includes rides. But the fact that my son (who will be 5 in a few weeks) couldn’t ride most of them was absolutely ridiculous.
The height requirement is insane. My son couldn’t even ride the bumper cars with an adult. I’m not the only one that complained about this either. I came across another family who felt the same way. He was stuck riding baby rides.
There were less rides this year, and one was even broken when my husband and son tried to get on it. I’m pretty sure the ride attendants shouldn’t be smoking, but seemed to be doing plenty of that.
At least the fair food was decent. We got some fried oreos (yummyyyy) and some fried snickers (not for me). Only thing is the price for cotton candy is a little much. $ 4 for a bag. We’ll be back next year. Hopefully the rides will be better and my son will actually be able to ride them. If not, I guess it’ll be our last time.
