I really want to like this place. Been here probably about 8 times in the past year that we’ve lived in Kingsburg. Like another reviewer said, I keep giving it another chance and am increasingly disappointed each time. My first problem is quality control. The meat is habitually undercooked. My burger today was not just pink in the middle it was cold mushy raw ground beef. The slice of cheese was refrigerated cold as well, not even a hint of being melted. There is no flavor to the burgers anymore, all they do is pour tons of salt on them, almost too salty to even eat. They screwed up my son’s order, all he wanted was a plain cheeseburger with nothing on it, and they couldn’t even get that right, so we had to wait at least 15 extra minutes for them to remake his meal. No apologies or anything, just attitude from some bonehead teenage employees. My second problem is the price. I have no problem paying good money for a good meal, but at Three Crowns, you pay good money for a lousy meal. Plus they use scam rip-off tactics. For example, you can add fries and a soda to a hamburger for $ 1.99, but I wanted fries and a cup of water, so they charged me $ 2.95 for the fries and $ 0.25 for the water. Why? I ended up paying $ 28 for two hamburgers and 3 small orders of fries. Unbelievable. I would not be this irritated if this was the only time this happened. But the past three or four times I’ve been here, trying to give it another chance, they have done this exact same thing. Three Crowns, you have become shameful. Get your act together or sell the place to someone who’s not a scumbag trying to rip off the people of this small town. This was definitely my family’s last trip to this dump. Next time I’ll get in my car and drive to In n Out in Fresno and it’ll be both cheaper and quicker(not to mention way better). I have sent an email to the Fresno County Health Inspector because of your improper food preparation.

Came from out of town — was meeting someone who was to sell me a car. While waiting I was famished since I hadn’t eaten anything all day and it was late in the afternoon. I heard from a conversation that this place had new management and ownership so since I was parked across the street — I thought why not give it a try — looked good anyway. Boy was I surprised! I thought, «well lets try something and if its good, I can get something for the way home». I ordered the Cajun sausage link sandwich at $ 7.95. What I actually got was a spicy hot dog that didnt even fit the bun! I looked around thinking«wait, this isnt Dodger stadium is it?». I ate it and realized that I was NOT going to be taking anything from here for the road. And THAT’S where the trouble happened — about an hour down the highway I got the runs and it happened at 30 minute intervals the whole 4+ hour drive back! Sorry Kingsburg — you got a cute little town there — but I’m passin’ it the next time through!

This little hole-in-the-wall has the best burgers in the area!!! The staff is friendly though I can take a little while for food to come out of the kitchen. the prices are not cheap but you get what you pay for. I highly recommend checking it out.

Used to brag about this place, but lately it has been a huge disappointment. The fries were old, fried in old dirty oil(as opposed to fresh oil, I’ve worked fast food). The burgers just do not taste the same. Doesn’t seem as clean as it used to be the effort is not there.

They used to have flavored milk shakes besides strawberry vanilla and chocolate, they to bring back the fruit. If you’re going to get food from here, pre order it it takes forever when you order at the window

Three Crowns used to be my favorite place to grab a Philly for lunch. I keep trying to keep hope alive that things will change after new ownership has caused terrible PR throughout town/Facebook…but again today, my dreams of a Philly were shot down when the cashier told me «Oh, we’re out of Philly…» Really? It’s 11:20am on a Friday. lunch hasn’t even happened and you’re out? Don’t you have a store located directly behind you? Ok, so I thought, I’ll try the chicken philly. «Oh sorry, we’re out of that too.» Really? So it’s not even the steak you are out of it’s both steak and chicken? So frustrating, and frankly sad. We ended up settling for the burgers. The girl didn’t tell us a time it would be ready. so we called back. She said, «Whenever you want.» That’s not exactly true. it’s not ready now right? My guess is an hour and a half. usually that’s the case. This place could be GREAT for our little town… owners need to step up and start making changes.

This new ownership has definitely made the difference. Stop by for mini burger combo. Me my wife and daughter loved it! There shakes are perfect combination. If your craving an American style meal with flavor this place will fulfill your craving.

I found this place on Unilocal and decided to try it out. I gave them $ 24 and I received 2 soggy buns, oily fries that had a frozen– freezer burn taste to them and 2 burned patties. I don’t get the whole green pepper on a burger thing either? I asked for extra pickles and got charged 80 cents for 2 discolored pickles that had mold spots. This place is DISGUSTING just stay at home and cook.

I keep giving this place a chance and it keeps disappointing me. Echoing other reviewers, this place has gone down since ownership changed hands. Service is lacking, food is barely ok. The day I went in they were out of regular French fries? Not being a fan of their alternative(curly fries) I opted for onion rings. They weren’t great. They were decent. Little too oily. Employees have zero personality, except when it comes to giving attitude it seems. Seems this will be my last time here. Would rather make the trip out to Wilkins in Selma or Roadhouse up the freeway a bit.

K-town’s burger spot. Yum. Get it to go so you don’t have to share your meal with the flies. Recommend the one with avocado!

So sorry to announce the death of a legacy. This place is done. Their new ownership is proving to be horrible at running this business. I’ve given them MANY chances to make me dinner. All I get is under/over cooked fries, crappy service(which includes expletives regularly around young children) and a complete lack of caring for their food or the customer. Confrontational ownership is a sign of a sinking ship. Oh how I’ll miss their once amazing philly, sausage & peppers and so much more. :(

Three crowns? More like three garbage cans. Driving down highway 99 we decided a decent burger would hit the spot. Unfortunately, this is what we found instead. We ordered a couple of their specialty burgers, fries and onion rings. First, the burgers. Nothing special about them. The bun was your standard seseme seed variety, but was over toasted and fell apart. Our«specialty» burgers came with soggy undercooked bacon, black avocado and canned mushrooms. As an unwelcome surprise they serve um up with slices of bell pepper, I guess their take on the good olé fashion pickle. Fail. The fries are crinkle cut… nothing special. The onion rings on the other hand were overcooked to the point they taste like deep fried cardboard. Tasteless and greasy, maybe you’re into that, obviously other Unilocalers are. This road trip stop was garbage… hopefully Unilocal doesn’t let us down further down highway 99.

Went there last night after a friend said they had a tasty burger from there. The staff was nice enough. I ordered my oldest daughters without certain stuff. Grand total for 3 burgers and fries, $ 27.00. Took the food to go. When we got home we realized they didn’t take the stuff off like we had asked. Not the biggest deal I suppose but still frustrating. In the end I’m not sure I’ll go back. The food was ok, but not worth $ 27.

Ahh! The best small town burger joint you’ll find. The patties are generously sized and topped with fresh ingredients. I love that they include bell peppers and I always like to add avocado. The French fries are amazing

Great burger! My husband and I ate here for the first time a few days ago. Our burgers were very juicy! They put bell peppers on the burger which I loved! My husband doesn’t like peppers so he pulled them off, but he loved his burger otherwise! Shakes were delicious and you could tell they were made for you with real ice cream. Crinkle fries were fresh & hot, and not too salty. We liked sitting outside eating and talking to all the people as they came up to order. Everyone was happy to be getting their burgers from there, raving about how good they the food is and how they’ve been coming here for years. «Best burgers around!» was what they said over and over. Service was excellent! Didn’t have to wait long for two burgers cooked to order & two shakes.(10 minutes maybe) Very friendly people inside cooking. :) we will be back soon!

I have loved 3 Crowns ever since I was a kid. When they changed owners some years back I was worried they would change. The only thing that changed was the menu expanded a little but the food has always been great. Hands down the Kingsburger is one of the best burgers that I have ever eaten. Highly recommended to anyone with a serious appetite. I just wish they were open later so I could have a good burger for dinner.

This roadside eatery exceeded expectations. The ABC burger and turkey burger were so juicy and delicious. They put bell peppers on the burgers — a tasty touch. The fish strips basket was golden and crispy, and they could have called it «giant fried fishes» as the portions were huge!

I had the ABC burger with the side of onion rings today while visiting K-Burg. A pic was already posted. It was a huge juicy burger with fresh veggies inside. Will definitely be back. All 10 in my group thought the food was great.

Great little place to eat. The prices are a little high but well worth it after you eat their food. The Philly cheesesteak is a must have, friendly staff and the food was out quick and made correctly. Make your way down to Kingsburg and you’ll always feel Välkommen(welcome).

Great, big, juicy flavor and local. I went to this place after reading all the reviews but angry because I was tired of all these« Unilocalers» adding reviews and no pictures. Like seriously either do it right or don’t do it all, lame people who are lazy to make good reviews with proof of what they ate. Anyways I drove to Kingsburg to try out this place and I was amazed. Even tho it’s open for 5 hours of the day I made it just in time. I ordered the one pound Kingsburger with curly fries, came down to 11 bucks(not too bad). I will go again and try more food in Kingsburg since I tried many places in Selma, Parlier and Reedley. Only catch is you eat outside no inside sitting, one of the reasons I ate in the car because it was cold in the morning. I rate this place 4.0 stars and great to take friends and family.

Like George Motz in his book Hamburger America I’m on a quest for the best hamburger in the area and Three Crowns ranks as one of my all time favorite stops. A Mom and Pop shop with unique, flavorful food. It 25 miles from my house and if the weather is nice(outside seating only) and I have time time, I’ll pick this place over the usual on the road food like In and Out.
