The Woodhouse Day Spa

Just moved to the area and was looking for a massage for the girlfriend and I. Woodhouse came up and it was within 2 minutes from my house, so I figured why not?
Now, I’ve had massages all over the place, but this one honestly was THE BEST experience I have ever had. That doesn’t mean the other places were bad, but Woodhouse did one thing the other places never did, and that’s LISTEN. I’ve had massages other times where they ask you any areas to work on or if you prefer quiet or not, and they just literally go un-​noticed as if I just didn’t say anything at all. I have asked for therapists to focus on my right side (I’m a dental hygienist and we put a lot of tear on our shoulders/​neck) and they just almost pretend you didn’t say anything. This was the first place that I actually had the person FOCUS on what I asked. If you don’t plan on spending time on any areas in specific, than why even ask? Or where I asked for a silent massage and 2 minutes in I start getting small talk, which then I start stressing out on how to politely say «please be quiet, I’m paying money to relax right now.»
The place is very beautiful inside, great atmosphere, and absolute professional staff from the front door to the minute you leave the massage table. I really recommend this place because I will be coming back.
Side note: I priced it at moderate because it’s really in the general ballpark as far as spa services go.

Nice spa. Came here for a relaxing pedicure and it didn’t disappoint. The girls working here are very courteous and professional. A bit expensive but worth it! Can’t wait for my next appointment!

Gorgeous interior, quality services, perfect ambience. Only a few things kept this place from being a five star:
1. The quiet room was not quiet when I visited. It could be it was because there were a lot of new guests, but there was a couple next to me who were chit-​chatting away while I was enjoying tea in post-​massage bliss. The staff came in a few times to ask them questions/​rearrange their services. There was just a lot going on and I left the room to change quickly. Perhaps they should have a registration room and a separate «quiet» room for post sessions?
2. I get that this is a chain spa, but it would be nice to not have advertisements for their services all over the place. A good spa speaks for itself and shouldn’t have to push people to purchase things. After my message, they had recommended oils and things in a basket ready for me to buy at the counter (if I wanted to), and I kind of found it a bit off-​putting. I go to a spa to relax and get away from a busy world already inundated with advertisements, sales pitches, and the like. It would have been nice to just walk in, get my service, and walk out with a smile — that’s what will keep bringing me back, not the ads or the upsells. I do want to clarify that the staff was pleasant and not pushy at all, it’s just the principal of the thing.
Still, the atmosphere in this spa is the best I’ve experienced in the area, and I may come back for another service in the future. My massage therapist, Frankie, was incredibly pleasant and did a great job.

I love woodhouse! This spa is absolutely perfect and I will always return. I had a little bit of trouble finding it at first but once I got inside I was really excited. My boyfriend and I went for a couples massage and everyone there was really friendly and nice. They took us right upstairs and showed us the locker room where we were given fresh plush robes. They kept us in the waiting room upstairs until our room was ready and had us fill out a sheet about preferences, touch, areas of sensitivity, etc. The mood of the spa was so relaxing, the rooms were dark, no one talked above a whisper, and it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. As for the massage the room was beautiful and again very relaxing. Neither me or my boyfriend could complain about our massage therapists, they were both perfect. If you don’t mind waiting a little to try and get an appointment here then your fine. It’s a smaller place but it definitely does not mean lack of service. Everything is completely on point here and I would recommend anyone to get their services done here.
