My go to when I’m in a hurry, good quick service, and excellent, big portion meals that come out quick… recommend the bim bim bowl, the Kim chi burger, and kale salad

My husband and I used to go to the Woodstock location for a $ 10 bowl of broth/noodle/protein greatness. I always got the coconut curry with the best cooked salmon EVER. Sadly, when they opened the location in Kingston there was a noticeable decline in the taste and quality of the coconut curry. Then the prices went up by 20% AND they took the salmon off the menu saying it was too expensive. So, we stopped dining there almost entirely. Recently, a friend took me there and I while I was happy to see that the salmon was back on the menu, I was not happy to see that the base price for the noodle bar had gone up to $ 13.50 a bowl with a $ 4.00 upcharge for salmon. So, what was, not too long ago, a $ 10 bowl is now a $ 17.50 bowl! When I asked about the significant price increase the waitress told us that the owners said it was to «keep up with the competition» which makes absolutely no sense to me. Furthermore, the coconut curry broth is watered down even more than before. We will definitely will not be eating at Yum Yum Noodles. So sad! It’s a good thing there are at least a half dozen GREAT restaurants in Uptown Kingston to dine at.

Love this place! I’ve been to authentic Ramen places in New York City and this is the closest thing you will find in upstate NY. Yum Yum noodle bar brings a new twist to the«traditional» ramen. I love how you are able to choose from different and build your own bowl instead of having to pick an already made option. The place is small and cozy with a friendly vibe and great service. Try some of the unique mixed drinks or have a beer from their tap.

Most recently I had a noodle bowl with chicken. According to their menu in their website it cost $ 12.50 at pick up the price came to $ 16.05, that’s 28.5% higher then listed. Apparently they add 10% on to go orders. Which isn’t stated on their menu and wasn’t told to me while placing the order. What did this 28.5% extra get me? Three pieces of charred chicken, a few slices of carrots and possible an egg. I’m not sure about the egg it was crushed, just a guess but it may have contained ½ an egg. On the positive side it only cost me $ 16.05 to add Yum Yum to my list of restaurant to avoid.

Jaoanese noodle bowls with some Thai and Korean choices. The service, food and drinks were all great! Very helpful staff are friendly, accommodating and fast. The kitchen will adjust dishes to specific needs or wants. Fresh food is deliciously seasoned. Beers, sake, wine and mixed drinks. Can’t go wrong at Yum Yum, it’s all yummy!

I first tried Yum Yum about two years ago. It was amazing. I have had it three or four times since then and the quality has declined each time. I hope the get it back together.

I stopped by before seeing Ra Ra Riot at BSP. Service was mediocre — dirty glasses, talking on the telephone while taking an order and giving a broken salt container — but decent, not fabulous, food. However, the portions are reasonable for price.

Due to the paucity of Asian restaurants in the Hudson Valley, it is always nice to spot a new one that is modernly decorated with a decent, simple menu. Do not be deceived by appearances though. We had ramen, which I think was possibly the WORST I have ever had, and that includes ramen I have had from an instant packet. They say you can always measure the worth of ramen by the broth and this is a perfect instance of that. There was not enough spice or umami at the table to make this tasty. And the noodles were overcooked(blech). I find this dismaying on many fronts, but mostly that the place was full for lunch and people really did seem to be enjoying their food. Good people, you don’t have to consume sub par food. Go to Quinn’s in Beacon if you want excellent ramen in the Hudson Valley. Or better yet, just jump on a train to the city. Either one is worth the trip.

This place is a joke. The food isn’t hot(which makes me think it’s all prepared and then warmed up) — hot broth is the key to decent ramen. The service is OK but the atmosphere is like a children’s playroom. Such a disappointment to see their menu and then see the reality.

Nice little spot. Needs salt on the broth though. Fry oil is funky. Maybe needs replacing. Lol Small minute details makes the difference on food.

@ the city of Kingston which is a former NY State capital. Pleasant fun-going waitress, Eliyah served us delicious home– made Korean food. One of the few eateries that is open after 5 on Sunday! Delicious food, fantastic drinks, friendly staff! My buddies and I will definitely eat here before going to Woodstock or Phoenecia!

Way too commercialized. The food did not taste like authentic Thai. More like packaged food. I personally would not come here again. The food was also very salty. That was a no go.

This place was highly recommended and being vegan I was excited that they had a complete vegetarian menu with vegan options on it. I was really disappointed that the coconut curry broth(which normally would be vegan in other places) has seafood in it and the miso(which is normally made of fermented soy beans) is made by yum yum’s with some kind of fish or shell fish, yet it was on the vegetarian menu.(according to the wait staff, the menu was not correct) Being vegan these are generally«safe» items I can order, but not here! While there were some vegan options, to put together a whole meal really limited my selections.(2 out of 4 kinds of noodles, 1 choice of broth, and tofu or seitan) More choices of broth or sauces would make a difference. I was quite disappointed with the«actual» choices for vegan food. I had the noodle bowl with vegetarian broth, soba noodles and their house made seitan. The vegetarian broth tasted like salty soy sauce water with a touch of dark miso. I really didn’t care for it, but that’s the only vegetarian broth available. The Soba noodles were all stuck together. The Seitan was excellent. I would go back and give this place one more try. Maybe I caught them on a bad night and I’ll ask if they have some other sauce they can do besides the vegetarian broth.

I order the same thing every time and love it — coconut curry, no shrooms, extra other veg, tofu and extra spicy. Its always delicious, but I will admit there are some inconsistencies… sometimes I get too much of the other veg I ask for, and other times not. The broth, egg, and spice are always delish and that is really all I care about. The vibe is chill and laid back and I have found the staff to be consistent and friendly. The only thing that prevented me giving 5 stars is the fact that whoever I go with says the same thing — this was different the last time I had it… which seems to be a theme in some of the other reviews I have read.

What a great place! The food is always outstanding, a great option for something healthy while still immensely flavorful. There is something for everyone on the menu, but the specials & drink specials are always to be considered first, I never want to miss out their unique delicious creations! The atmosphere is welcoming & comfortable, and all the staff is always so friendly and helpful. I recently had an impromptu birthday celebration here, and the manger Miriam was SO immensely accommodating — could not have asked for a better experience, truly. We were given the Red Room to ourselves, special requested food, and she graciously presented a slice of cake complete with a candle! Thank you YumYum, can’t wait to dine in again soon!

The Thai food was exceptional here! Hands down some of the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten! I was visiting some friends that live in the area and this is their go to spot for great food. They pad Thai and other noodle dishes were spot on and all the ingredients tasted fresh and not too salty which is rare to find in Thai. We live in Nyc and this place is better than any Thai I have had in the city. Also, nice beer selection for having a small bar. You won’t be disappointed!

I’m the biggest fan of ramen shops so once I found this place on Google I have to give it a try. Came here for a late lunch today at about 2, I was the only customer there. Service was good, the waitress was welcoming and friendly. I ordered the chicken satay, pork buns, and beef ramen in miso broth. The apps were good in general. The pickle in the bun was too distinct and it didn’t balance the dish like they intended. The bun itself can be more light, as it was more to the heavy side. It was still a decent dish, the satay was good. Then came the noodle, took a sip of the broth… It tasted like those packet miso you get from grocery stores… Disappointed. Moved on the the noodles, it was way overcooked. Mushy. That’s a big no-no for a noodle place. I took a bit and I didn’t bother to finish. Sorry I will not return.

Went with a group of 4, and we all loved it. My ramen was absolutely perfect, very flavorful, everything well cooked. The pork seems to come out a bit more on the well done, which is unusual for me, but it worked out very well with the peppery pork/chicken broth. Plenty of good beers, as well as a plethora of non-alcoholic drinks, which could easily become alcoholic drinks as there is a full bar. My brother said his pork buns were the best he’s had, including those from China. I am a sucker for ramen, but this place is some of the best I’ve had. Kid, vegitarian, and price friendly. Some of the apps are a bit steep, but a proper bowl of ramen should be a challenge to finish, and this place delivers. Thanks for filling our bellies Yum Yum!
