I’ve been going to Lucy for years and she’s by far the most brilliant stylist I’ve encountered. She always knows exactly what is needed when I sit in her chair and I leave every time with my hair looking incredible and just what I had in mind! When it comes to elevating your hair to the next level, while also chatting with a hilarious sweetheart, Lucy is definitely your girl. The front manager there now is also super friendly and kind. She’s helpful and makes sure you’re happy with the services you’re receiving. Even the shampoo ladies are dolls! I’ve been going to JC Christopher’s on and off since 2005 and the ladies who are there now are awesome and I absolutely recommend them to everyone I know!

I. I’ve only ever went to Wendy who has worked there for a long time. She is wonderful. The best cut and highlights I ever had. I highly recommend her. The only negative thing is the price. It’s very expensive so I can only go once a year.

I’ve been going here for about 5 years now. From the first time Tracy and I hit it off! She understands what I want when I ask for it and she know my hair really well. Even when her coworkers say she’s nuts and my hair should be falling out at this point, she stands behind her work, her knowledge of what my hair can handle from experience and my requests. Everyone ALWAYS asks me where I get my hair done because they color is on point! Thanks Tracy!!!

My hair looked horrible. The color ended up two tone. When I asked for her to even out the color, she was not happy about it. Tried covering with, «oh but you will have be here for another hour, don’t want to keep you here.». Don’t care if it was additional two hours, I didn’t ask for the color to be in two different shades. I highly recommend Nikole to many people in the past, now I am looking for a new salon all together.

So this place looks like it would be very Welcoming and the front desk staff really attempts to make you feel like a valued client and then you see him. Standing there glaring at you with his Julius Caesar haircut and tie-died tee shirt. He is the owner and according to that look on his face you are neither valued nor welcomed! Then you go in to do your service and ask the staff about it and they apologize and make excuses all the while looking over their shoulder nervously. I had stopped coming here for a long time for this reason. But was in a bind for time and decided to just go and bite the bullet. So I went in for a full body wax, they are SUPER expensive, but the two ladies there are thorough and clean. My cell phone rings and it’s my son, who is 10 and sitting on the lobby sofa with his phone playing a game. He sounds weepy and nervous. «Mom a man came up to me and Lilly and said „You don’t belong here!“, I tried to tell him you were in there getting waxed and he told me to tell you that next time you come here not to bring us that kids are not allowed here»! Then he said, «I tried to come to find you to tell you we had to leave and he yelled at me that i could not get up.» Needless to say I was furious. I’m giving this man my hard earned money? i asked Janet to stop that I was leaving. She was so upset. I mean she knew she just lost a 300.00 per month client. I get dressed, I go to the front desk, he is NOWHERE to be found. COWARD. okay to scare two little kids but not talk to me personally? The receptionist takes my credit card, «Is this your first time here?» I say, «Nope but it is certainly my LAST» «Oh No! Why?» «Really? You have to ask?» PS the policy on Children. NEVERMENTIONEDANDNOTPOSTED!

In all fairness I haven’t been here in probably almost 3 or 4 years but all of the services I did have during those previous visits were for the most part positive ones. My MIL had gone through a phase where she would buy me spa gift certificates, the first one she bought me was to a little place in Wayne on Hamburg turnpike… basically looked like the woman was running a spa out of the downstairs of her house. Some of the aspects of the services I received there were very unprofessional. So upon my feedback my MIL upgraded us to JC Christopher. The salon itself it nice and bright and airy. The receptionists from what I remember were always helpful and pleasant. I’ve had a regular massage, a hot stone, a facial, and pedicure at this spa. They do the usual thing, someone comes in and brings you into a locker room, you change and stash your stuff in a locker. Then you go into a waiting area and your masseuse/esthetician comes to get you. Both massages I had were fantastic, the hot stone was especially wonderful. The women who did the massages were also awesome, very friendly but not overly talkative when it came time to quiet down. The rooms are pleasant, typical spa setting, dim light, enya, you know the deal. The facial I received was part of a package with the first regular massage. It was OK but nothing spectacular. I remember when I booked it I just said a facial but I didn’t really know what my options were so I figured I’d clarify when I got there but no one ever asked. The facial consisted of a really fancy face wash with steam… no extractions, no particularly yummy smelling products. Like I said it was OK. The pedicure was actually a fluke and I was really pissed at the time. I had made 2 appts for myself and my MIL and when they took my phone # they wrote it down wrong so when they tried to call me and tell me they could only accommodate one massage, obv I never received that call. I opted to get a pedicure and allow my MIL to get a much deserved massage. The pedicure was nice, don’t get me wrong. But I think after everything it ended up being $ 50+. My toes were not in any condition to be pedicured, I had ripped all my toenails off so they were extremely short, legs weren’t shaved so I was cranky about the situation but I really wanted to use the GC up so I dealt with it. Like I said, the pedicure was good, but I can’t justify a $ 50 pedicure when I know I can get one for $ 15 – 25 locally that’s just as good. All in all I would def go back here, the spa looks and feels clean, the employees are very pleasant and the services are excellent. I would just tell you to make sure you are clear about what you want and make sure they repeat your phone number back to you! Oh and bring cash for tips people — I don’t remember if they can add onto cards or not but be considerate of the people your tipping. Cash is always king.

I have gone here a couple times. I went to the lower tiered stylist and liked the haircut. Now, she is promoted and I pay way too much in my budget for a color touch up, cut, and blow out. I might not feel so guilty if the end product was worth it but I feel I’ve gotton great styles for less, elsewhere… but they’re not local. Being new to the area, I need to find a budget friendly salon with a great stylist. Any suggestions?

Went for a pedicure. VERYEXPENSIVEFORNOTMUCHSERVICE. I get much better pedicures from the more inexpensive places locally. They have birds in their cages screaming… cute for the first minute. Not at all what I expected from what I had heard about this salon.

I tried JC Christophers for the first time a few weeks ago. My usual salon has been increasing their prices as the economy has dropped and so, even though I loved the end product, I had to find a place to that could do it for less. And I may have found it. I tried JC Christophers for 3 reasons: 1 — It came recommended by friends and family; 2 — It’s close to home; 3 — I found a 30% off coupon on their website for first time customers! I decided it was worth a shot. I set my appt for a Sunday morning, and arrived a little early — coupon in hand. This time I was only going for a haircut and style — it wasn’t time for a color touch-up just yet. Armed with pics of the haircut I wanted — I never go to a salon without visuals for the hairdressers — I was ready to meet Teresa. I showed her what I wanted, she took it all in and off we went to suds up! Back in the chair she was affable and chatty as she expertly clipped my hair into a chic style that resembled what I had shown her while complimenting the shape of my face. After she blew out my hair, I couldn’t believe how great it looked. I never have high expectations when meeting a new hair stylist — I’ve been burned too many times before — but even if I’d had high expectations, she would have greatly surpassed them. And, when I went to pay, admittedly I don’t remember what I was charged exactly, but with the coupon, I want to say it was $ 30 – 40! Now THAT was a value. I will definitely be back.
