Meet a friend for dinner tonight. We ordered crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. The mushrooms were large and we had to use a knife to forcefully cut them up. The crab stuffing had no flavor. Egg drop soup tasted like chicken jello, very thick. The salad was terrible. The lettuce was white, the ginger dressing was like a sweet oil and vinegar with green in it. Our steamed rice was so over cooked it was more of a mashed wet rice. Our egg rolls were not hot and crispy but greasy and gummy. The spicy beef had no heat or spice. I have had something at the grocery store that had a better taste. Whoever was cooking Feb. 2, 20166 Pm should not be cooking at all. The bar area is very nice. Loved the outdoor patio fire. Our service was outstanding. Bathrooms clean.

There’s really nothing extraordinary about this restaurant. The food is good but not really worth the price you’re paying; you can get the same flavor from a local Chinese fast food joint. In other words, their menu lacks vision. High-end Chinese restaurants(which I think they are trying to present themselves be) usually serve more inspired menus. That is where they miss their mark.

Great place! It’s Kinston’s version of Cheers. It’s the place to be!

I was recently in Kinston for 3 months. This was my favorite place to eat/drink in all of town. It always seemed to be the happening place in town. I highly recommend the steak, delicious! If they are willing, ask for Korean style! Bar service is great, wait staff is prompt, ownership/management is more than willing to sit and chat a while; which I find is rare for many establishments these days. Highly recommended!

Don’t do this unless you’re thinking about stopping by to have a drink and watch sports! I’ve never been to a Chinese sports bar where employees play video poker at the bar. What a novelty… it’s the kind of place that you remember the next day when your stomach is upset. However, if you’re accustomed to eating food fit for a canine, you’ve found your place!

House of Wang has by far the best Asian Cuisine in the area. Very nice and clean atmosphere. Establishment has separate bar area and dining area for your choice of dining enjoyment. Waitstaff is courteous and on top of things. Bar has great selection of beers and drinks. I frequent the restaurant regularly and have never had a bad experience.
