Allstate Insurance: Mike McGinness

I have been a McGinness customer for two years and I am supremely happy with the exceptionally high level of customer service I consistently receive. From taking the time to explain my coverages in terms I can understand to helping me out away after a fender-​bender last year, I do feel I am in good hands. Thank you!

I have been one of Mike’s clients for a long time, but I feel more like a good friend. He and his awesome crew have always treated me fairly, and are constantly looking for ways to make my insurance coverage better fit my changing needs (and usually not increasing my rates). I am treated with respect, warmth, humor, and understanding; I can honestly say I enjoy visiting with my insurance agency. How about that!

Mike and his crew have helped us for many years! I don’t leave many posts on Unilocal but reading some of the other reviews gave me a good laugh so I had to. I have had many different insurance companies and these guys are by far the best. Good prices and Great service. I know I’m well protected with Mike and his crew because they explain everything to me! They even call ME to review my insurance I have with them.
These other poor reviews are a JOKE! They obviously are upset with themselves and there own choices in life and don’t have anything better to do than hide behind a computer and complain about society. If you complain about everything your word is invalid.

Oh I did get my insurance papers in the mail.
I Recived nine copies for one insurance policy.
Mike you are running joke and nobody is laughing.
Don’t worry when this insurance policy runs out. I will save myself the headache and combine my car and motorcycle polices into one.
Instead being a fool. You could just looked at the address I gave you and sent one copy of the policy. Instead asking me my address who knows how many times and making me drive to Kirkland from Seattle to get things straighten out.

Mike has served me for the last 10 years or so.
We have had lots of changes in our policies and residences. Mike is quick and efficient. 3 different times Mike called me to inform me of ways to improve coverage and lower payments. I was amazed at his customer service. Outstanding! I had one big claim because of theft and they walked me through the process.
I have recommended them to all my friends and most of them have moved coverage to them. In a world that is less and less personal, it is great to have such great service!

We are a gay couple and we were referred to this agency by one of our dads, who had been a longtime client. We opened a homeowners and auto policy in 2001 and stayed with this company through 2013. All of the policies we had were in one partners name and when we inquired about adding a policy to cover a car under the other partners name there was zero consideration for our longstanding customer account. The policy we were offered was twice as expensive as the one we ultimately found with another company. Then, we bought a used car, and the day we were supposed to pick it up we got a binder through Allstate. One thing led to another and we did not get the car until the next day and by then we had found a much better rate through GMAC. So, we never used the Allstate policy because when we drove the car off the lot after signing for it we had a policy through GMAC. We let Allstate know but now we are being billed $ 40 for «coverage provided before the policy was cancelled». I called but, since I am not the partner whose name was on everything I was asked «how do you know him?» And told «why don’t you have him call us?» Even though this agency had spoken with me more than thee times in the past and I was simply trying to correct this billing error. In the end there was nothing but curt replies and pejorative attitude from this local agency. The nationwide company it is affiliated with is expensive — shop elsewhere for the same coverage and better customer service.

Mike and his team are FABULOUS! Quick and responsive, easy to reach and thorough in making sure you receive every discount.
When my husband and I moved here from Texas a few years ago, we needed to research new insurance options. Mike was able to provide some valuable counsel and in the end, we not only had better protection — but we also saved a lot. While there are many online insurance options these days, they can’t come close to replacing the very human face and real insight that Mike and his team provide.
