Just stopped in here for the first time. Apparently the previous owner let the place go, but the current owner has put some time and effort into a NEW great beer bar in the Juanita area of Kirkland. I loved the outlets to charge your phone’s under the bar with hooks for purses so they are not on the floor. Chic motorcycle helmet lamps modern metal patina style accent wall. Clean with a great décor inside. Several TV’s and what appears to be a projection TV for sports! This is definitely NOT a dive bar any more. Menu simple with good food, many beer choices. Choppa, Choppa salad yummy and the bacon burger was delicious!

My friends and I have stopped at Brickhouse a good amount of times in the past years and it’s never really let us down. It’s a dive bar with no expectations, no drama, and a slim chance I’ll run into someone I recognize… perfect! Pool tables — check Music — check Trivia nights — check Karaōke nights — check(Haven’t been) Cheap drinks — check Nice and ATTENTIVE bartender — check Greasy bar food — check(I can’t really speak for the food since I haven’t really had much of it, but its standard fried bar food) It’s a pretty awesome place to have a nice quiet night with some friends. If you want glitz, glam, nice décor, and cleanliness… it probably isn’t the place for you, but that’s okay because it just mean more room for me!

Fun restaurant. Great beachy location, and great creative food, including homeade pot pie. I cannot wait to return again.

I’ve come to love this crusty old watering hole. When you walk in, you totally expect Jon Taffer(of Bar Rescue) to be right behind you. It has certainly seen better days in terms of décor, maintenance and what not. But, not everything that gets a little older or stays around awhile longer needs to be thrown away. This is a very basic, just because, neighborhood hangout watering hole. Like most of the bars here in Kirkland they have something going on nearly every night of the week. Karaōke, Geeks who Drink Trivia, Arcade and Classic video game«tournaments», pool(free on Sundays) and are near spitting distance to Juanita beach. You won’t find fancy food here, but you will find basic American bar fare. Burgers, pizza, fries, standard entrees. Small dedicated parking lot, walkable to beach and other shops, and a welcoming bunch of regulars and staff make this a nice little option to have in the area. They could use a facelift and deserve a bit more pizzaz and credit than they get, but I hope should they change, they don’t change too much.

Let’s just get this out of the way and say in no way should you come here for an actual meal. Maybe some apps with your drinks. But overall, the food was awful. My boyfriend liked his nachos well enough, but I know for a fact our lazy-night nachos we make on the regular are a lot better. The French Dip and fries was just awful. BUT, the drinks are cheap, the place isn’t that busy, there are pool tables, games, darts, and Trivia through GWD on Wed nights. The bartender is awesome. Super nice, funny guy, who is pretty on top of things, despite being in charge of being a «Sever» also. Like I said, I don’t think ordering food here is the thing to do, so he is mostly just making drinks. A Pitcher of Manny’s is $ 13 and a strong rum and coke will run you $ 4, so it’s a fun, cheap way to enjoy a night with friends playing Trivia if you live in the area. Happy Hour runs till 7 and includes $ 1 off drinks and apps. No way I would be a regular, but as far as a «Dive Bar» in Juanita, it’s not the worst.

I am actually quite a fan of the Brickhouse Pub. My husband and I have been living in Kirkland for years now and just as we decide to move away, we find this place. I am really big on judging whether I will go somewhere based on their website and I wasn’t too impressed by their website. So one Sunday, I really wanted to play some pool and this was the only bar in the area that I thought would have pool tables. So here I go pulling up their website and what do I see? Free pool all day on Sundays! How can I pass up this amazing deal?! I thought for sure everyone in the area would be taking advantage of this great offer but when we arrived there was only one other group of people over in the bar… The first night we went their oven was on the fritz so the food wasn’t phenomenal but every time since, the food has been pretty decent for bar food. Their crinkle fries are addicting. Dip them in some ranch and its my kind of heaven. I have been pretty impressed with their drinks. Some bars try to drowned me in alcohol. If I want a shot of rum, I will tell you. Overall, this is a very homey bar. The bartender we seem to always get is really sweet and after only one time seeing her, she remembered what we wanted and how we wanted it. I am pretty upset we didn’t find this place sooner. I will definitely be back at least one Sunday a month to come play some pool.

This is a super-dive bar, so make sure you’re expecting that when you come in. There are no windows. The place is like a bomb shelter. The bartender I’ve had the last two times was pretty nice, but she left every 15 minutes to go smoke and wouldn’t come back for 10. They had free pizza which wasn’t very good but it was free, so what do you expect? Dirty floors, rickety bar stools. Meh. Much better options in walking distance.

4 pool tables, darts, hunting game machine. Overall great dive with plenty of lot parking. Practically empty on a Saturday night — so it’s good for groups. Fun staff.

I like it here. It’s a dive for sure but it’s a comfy, feel-at-home-and-among-friends dive rather than a I-need-to-take-a-shower-immediately dive. Of the handful of times I’ve visited Brickhouse, I’ve had nothing but good memories. The bartenders here are also just awesome. Friendly, fun and down to earth — not to mention always checking up on you. I’ve had little of their food and of that little food I don’t remember much of it but it’s safe to say it’s standard greasy-fried pub fare. It’s the perfect place in town to play some pool, get some drinks, listen to tunes and just chill out. I’m a fan!

This is a local spot I would hit from time to time for some drinks on the weekend or on a Sunday afternoon. When I went back to Kirkland for Thanksgiving I ended up coming here with some friends for drinks. I remembered how much I enjoyed their food and suggested that we stay for lunch as well. I had their French dipped sandwich(half-size) with a side salad. I have also had one of the grinders in the past and I have to admit the food is super yummy with large portions even when ordering a half order. They also serve free pizza(which is ok) during their happy hour. Be advise that this is place is definitely a dive surrounded with locals but all in all it’s a good place to grab a bite and a stiff drink.

Stopped in for a couple drinks and some big buck hunter for a friend’s birthday and I was pleasantly surprised. This little hole in the wall was in no way pretentious, nor was it shabby. Pool tables, jukebox, darts, big buck hunter and megatouch, TVs all around and some seriously strong drinks. STRONG drinks. It was awesome! We ordered crown and diet and rum and diet, had 2 each and it was just over $ 20! They were definitely doubles. I was a happy girl. I’ll be back here for sure. I didn’t eat any food, but it looked like standard bar/pub fare. We had a nice bartender, he was friendly and quick, and did I mention the strength of the drinks? good times!

I don’t understand how this place could still be in business. You can’t eat the food and the place has no windows. I felt like I was in a cave. unless you want to shoot pool there is no reason to go here. Plus, I wonder why they don’t clean this place?

A sleeper, close to being worthy but not quite there. Has all the ingredients but needs to have music going all the time and turn the lights down just a touch. Service could be a bit more responsive too.

I love a good dive bar. Unfortunately, Brickhouse is like an awkward child of the dive bar world. It has all the components that when done correctly could make a fun, laid back dive, but there’s just something off. Maybe it’s the young clientele. Maybe the lights are too bright for a legit dive. Maybe it feels to open and there aren’t enough booths to hide in. Whatever it is, something’s not working for the Brickhouse.

I’m always looking for a new ‘dive bar’ where we can drink, have a simple meal and not worry how long we are hanging around chatting. The Brickyard fits the bill. The bar is in a small stripmall across the street from Juanita Beach Park and the entrance is a smidge offputting, but you know you have found a good dive when there are at least 5 people out front leaning against the wall smoking. :) My girlfriend and I experienced very friendly service by the bartender on a Thursday night and found the food tasty and drinks not lightly poured. My Hawaiian burger and onion rings were wonderful. Happy hour offers ‘buck off’ drinks and free pizza slices. Recommended.

This is a fun bar to stop in and spend a few hours on a weeknight. This bar is more crowded on weekdays than weekends. With four pool tables, a dart board, a big screen television, jukebox, and other random games you can always find something to do. Not bad for a place in Kirkland. I only have gotten food here once and don’t remember it being anything special. They have a nice selection of beers though there alcohol is a little on the higher end price wise. This is a fine way to spend a weeknight catching up with friends and having a few drinks. We definitely enjoy making the Brickhouse part of our weekly routine.

I usually come here for a beer after having dinner at Salmon Creek or the Mexican place near by so I’ve never eaten here. The Bud Light here tastes delicious and the bartender brought it to our table singing Sweet Child O’ Mine, Awesome! This place is a good for beer and 80’s monster ballads, they also have pull tabs and a bunch of pool tables. Give it a chance, it’s pretty good for a strip mall bar in Kirkland.

I came here my first night in Seattle to just grab a drink and a light dinner. I wasn’t very impressed. I got a meatball sandwich and thought it was pretty bland. If you come here I’d come for the drinks and not the foos.
