Pretty typical food truck style portions and prices. You could try the entire menu for a reasonable price. The cornbread was a little too flaky for my taste and not sweet enough. Good flavor and will definitely be back once the weather heats up.

Get your red hot MICROWAVED barbecue here! I kid you not, he grabbed the pork out of a cooler and microwaved it, before my eyes… and yet, i tried it again… and again. Even his front loaded bun(looks stuffed when you get it til you eat nothing but bun on the part that’s wrapped in paper. I was hard up for barbecue, chose to forgive him, and was betrayed 2 more times. I just tried his barbecue for the final time today at the car show in Kirkland. I don’t get how this place has 4.5 stars. 3 times over the last year I’ve tried it and it’s just … bad. If I hadn’t seen his smoker out back I would have thought that maybe he was just nuking Costco’s pulled pork, tastes about the same. This place makes my heart sad.

This place is delicious! Ribs are amazing, pulled pork tangy perfect. Don’t forget to try the yams, they are crazy good. I’m so happy my family and I found HP Smokehouse BBQ. With friendly, happy employees placed the perfect setting for fresh air, playground play, and a picnic. You will not be disappointed! Thank you HP Smokehouse, we will be back soon!

Super yummy sliced beef short ribs! I stopped by today because hubby was working, yes a holiday weekend and decided I’d try a close by food truck. BBQ is my weakness so when there is a place so close I had to give it a try. The beef short ribs fell apart when I cut them with a fork. I also got the side of cornbread which was delicious. Being a transplant from the south, I look for good BBQ and this did not disappoint. You should try them and I got a lot for $ 11.

We stopped in yesterday and bought 5 orders of Ribs– they were delicious! The service/owner was outgoing and friendly and the park setting is the perfect place to sit down and eat a plate full of ribs. We will be back!

We had trays made up for our kids birthday party. They were amazing to work with and the food was a hit! Pukled pork, potato salad and tge Mac and cheese were the hits. Great more vinegar like sauce. H p called to follow up too. I would use them again.

After a casual trip down to the Juanita market, I stumbled upon this BBQ joint. The reviews on Unilocal were all fantastic, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Saucey Face with a side of cole slaw and my girlfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of potato salad. There was not a lot of flavor in either one. Everything just tasted bland. However, you do get a decent amount of food for the price.

The food was fantastic! I had the open faced Saucy with piled pork and sausage. It was most excellent, and the sides were delicious. I can’t wait to get back there!

I was looking online for a good BBQ place in the area and stumbled upon this one. We were not disappointed. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, the saucy face sandwich and an order of baby back ribs. For sides we tried the coleslaw, yams and cornbread. The meat was smoky and tender with the perfect amount of bbq sauce. The sides were impressive and it was a hearty amount of food for the price. The service was great, both gentlemen working were friendly and engaged. The only disappointing thing was that they didn’t have brisket or potato salad which were the two things I was eager to try but I guess that gives us an excuse to go back soon! I definitely recommend giving this little BBQ place a try!

Everything about this food truck rocks. The meat is smoky, flavorful, and surprisingly not as heavy as typical BBQ. The prices are a bit steep, but nothing can beat the convenience. The only reason for the lack of one star is the utter rudeness from the gentleman taking orders. I was yelled at for no reason multiple times. Then my food took almost 15 minutes to get out… It put a but of a damper on my experience, but I’m hoping that was a one time glitch.

I am definitely in the«Yay! I’m a fan» club. I’ve followed HP’s on Facebook since I moved to this area, yet never managed to visit until today. This check-in/review shows them at Juanita Beach but they also routinely set up shop at the Finn Hill QFC on Juanita Drive. A sunny Friday with just me and my oldest daughter bit of spontaneity found us here for lunch. I am the best mom, ever. We decided to go ALLTHEHELLOUT, and ended up ordering pretty much the entire menu, which was: MEAT: Pulled pork sandwich Hot link Beef brisket Baby back ribs(3) SIDES: cole slaw yummy yams potato salad corn bread DESSERT: peach cobbler Like I said, we went ALLOUT, and were completely stuffed and went home leftovers to nibble later. The sauce is just fantastic. Not too thick, just a bit sweet, with a nice little kick at the end but easily palatable for anyone who doesn’t want too spicy. Everything was good but a few things just stood out for me, personally: RIBS: nice char on the outside, beautiful deep smoke flavor, VERY meaty and not over-sauced YAMS: OMG, a revelation of creamy, cinnamony, buttery little cup of yummy. PEACHCOBBLER: Didn’t appear to be fresh peaches(not in season, so natch) but somehow, this warm, gooey little dessert had a savory quality to it in the crumble top that I can’t quite place but was super delicious. The rest: POTATOSALAD: good, very pickle and celery heavy, but excellent. Potatoes were perfectly done for a salad. COLESLAW: we ordered right as they opened so the bin was super full, so our portion was a little dry(I kind of like my cole slaw sloppy and wet) but it was very tasty. Nice pepper hints in it that I liked. HOTLINK: Well seared, drenched in their great sauce on a bun. Would definitely order again. PULLEDPORK: beautifully smoked, chopped/pulled into little bits, with plenty of sauce on a bun. Get twice as many napkins as you think you’ll need, then 5 more. BRISKET: ample portions, well sauced, carry the smoke flavor well. Slices were inconsistent in size(some were really thick, some thin). Not as melty/tender as one would dream for in a brisket. CORNBREAD: Dense, spongy and a little crumbly. Solid side. Not overly sweet. Would be best heated up or in a smaller portion(unless you have milk or something else to break up the crumbly/dense your eating) Service: SUPER nice and fun folks, who have a lot of love and passion going into their food and their little truck. Value: We had pretty much the entire menu(except the chicken), all the sides, a dessert and a soda plus tip for $ 45. The ENTIRE menu. Great value, priced well for the food truck genre, you could easily have a filling, tasty lunch for a 10-spot here. I will definitely be back to their regular haunts for some more.

I contacted Stanley of HP’s to help with a concession stand for a school event. Stanley was wonderful to work with and provided delicious pulled pork and sauce for us. Everyone raved about the food and we were glad to have something so high quality to serve. Since our event was a fundraiser, Stanley also gave us a reduced price on the meat! We appreciated the support and would highly recommend HP’s Smokehouse BBQ for lunch or an event!

We sampled everything on their menu at a recent Kenmore summer concert. The pulled pork was delicious, the hot link tasty and our kids were fighting over who would get the most baby back ribs. They were that good. The sides are yummy — the peach cobbler is to DIE for. So, so, so good. My family is from the South so I have high expectations on BBQ in general, but desserts in particular. The peach cobbler ranked right up there with the best my grandmother ever made! We liked the food so much we asked to have HP’s cater a birthday party recently. Every guest found at least one thing(and usually 3 or 4) to rave about. Quality, tasty meats, great sides, and, of course, that peach cobbler. If you are in the mood for great BBQ, HP’s will meet the need. If you«like» them on Facebook, you can find out their locations for the day/week. Really helpful!

If I could rate it zero stars I would. First we ordered brisket, links, cobbler and the works, $ 26. I figured it’d be good so I didn’t stress the price. 30 minutes later our food wasn’t ready. Then they informed us they ran out of brisket. We asked how much longer and the guy rudely replied, «it’ll be ready when its ready»… How dare I ask why it took so long after 40 minutes of waiting. Finally we got our food– the hot link is a cheap hot dog, the cobbler and yams were cold, the cornbread dry and the ribs just eghhh… So damn disappointing.

My husband and I tried the Pulled Pork sandwitches and potato salad. both were absolutely FABULOUS and very reasonably priced! We recommended HP’s to everyone. We are both looking forward to trying everything on the menu.
