We love Lynn’s Bistro for special occasions or just a special night out. The menu has something for everyone and the price is just perfect. We recently celebrated here and tried the duck and lobster ravioli– HEAVEN. Whatever you do, be sure to try a dish with sauce. Lynn is a saucier master! The ambiance is clean, romantic, and French :) Can’t go wrong here! They take reservations and we are always appreciative that they can accommodate us on such short notice. One of the best restaurants in Kirkland for fine dining.

Went here for restaurant week, and i totally recommend a reservation. This place was tiny, and i wouldnt have otherwise gotten a seat without it, a couple came in after me and the wait was set for 45 mins! Started dinner with some French onion soup, which was quite standard, and some chicken pâté. The pâté was definitely a treat; with the pâté served generously, I actually had to try to force myself to finish most of the pâté as I could, very classy appetizer, and Im glad they didnt skimp on the garnishes! We ordered the steak and the crabcake and split both. Thank goodness for that because the crabcake is HEAVY, it is legit crab chunks that can be very overindulgent after the first piece. Thankfully the meat balanced it out for me, but we were still quite stuffed after our meal. Desert was a sweet afair with some flan and red velvet cake. If i had the stomach for it I totally would have went for the crème brûlée, because the serving looked huge! Tasty foods, but not the most intimate of atmospheres. This is still a great place to dine for their value meal dinner(I believe 36 $ for 3 courses?), French food away from the hustle and bustle of Seattle.

Dinner for four of us last Saturday night and the place was packed. We were on a tight schedule on our way to a concert. No problem ! Apps were outstanding: escargot swimming in garlic butter, fresh seared ahi, a stack of smoked salmon and crab cake. Plenty to share among the four of us… Dinners were fresh, and timing was a good pace. I had the rabbit, my wife the duck. We shared. Get the scalloped potatoes. YUM !!! The portions were spot on for the meal. Service was wonderful, always right there but not lingering. Final summary, the value was exceptional. The quality and amount of food that we rec’d for the money was over and above the norm. We will be going back there, soon !!!

OK I’m was racist when I came to food. French should be cooked by French. Not any more. The Asian lady can do it just fine. Recommendations(will have again): Shrimp ravioli! Duck!!! Little hot baked goods provided only at brunch Was ok(maybe try again): French onion soup Not fan of: Crepes(except the dessert one)

Here for s birthday party. Great service, the waiter was willing to go to the grocery store to get some extra ingredients to make a mojito as they had just run out. Had the shrimp ravioli with lobster sauce — delicious! And the crab cake — all crab and no filler! The scalloped potatoes were also very rich and surprisingly creamy. Lastly had brought In a 20 person cake and they were very accommodating, and even gave us utensils and plates. Would definitely come here again for the exceptional service and great food.

The best part of Restaurant Week is finding a gem in the off skirts of downtown Kirkland. I have walked pass this place many times, thinking it was a dive from the outside. Upon entering, I am transported to a quint, small restaurant in France. The service was attentive and friendly, and he offered suggestions on his favorite dishes. He mentioned the speciality is the sauces Lynn makes. Now down to business on the food. It is described as Asian infused French dishes. I found no trace of Asian, the food was rich and filling. Pre-appetizer — loads of pipping hot banquette with butter to start off Appetizer– French onion soup — the broth was a little bland for my taste, not enough onions. Liver pâté– I liked the salad that came with the pâté, not the pâté. Main course– Crab cakes– perfectly done! I will definitely come back for this. Pork– too chewy for me Desserts– Crème brûlée– good. Can’t go wrong with crème Brûlée Chocolate mousse cake– dense sweet cake, too rich and sweet for me. Overall, the service, ambience, crab cakes are worth coming back for. Tip — make reservations. A customer was turned away at 5:30 pm for not having a reservation. It’s a small seating area which makes it so cosy. Note, a cheaper version of Lynn’s bistro is next door, which looked packed.

This is our go to place. The food is awesome and service is excellent. Price is very reasonable for the quality of the food. Everything on the menu is good. I especially like their crab cake and French onion soup.

Took the family for my wife’s birthday and had a fabulous time and meal. We all had the pre fix menu and every item was perfect. We felt well attended to, without being rushed. Our servers were very helpful in explaining our options and recommending great wines to go with our food. Lynn prepared each dish personally and her timing and presentation were as good as the taste. Among us we had the French onion soup, the pork medallions, the crab cakes, and a variety of desserts. The sides complimented the main dish really well. Everyone was kind and helpful, and make our evening wonderful. We will be back!

Lynn’s is a wonderful place in Kirkland, Washington. However, their food is a bit erratic in taste. Whenever they are spot on, the food is amazing, delectable, and classic. However, there are off days. The first time my fiancé and I ate here, we were amazed by the food quality. We ate tons of food including foies gras and the duck breast. We were amazed by the quality of the food for the price. We also shared the crêpe dessert, which was pretty fantastic. The second time the food was still amazing, but certain dishes lost their flair. The foies gras was seared to black and all you could taste was burnt. The duck breast was overcooked and the sauce was not as decadent as it was before. The third time the foies gras was seared even more than the last time. It was burnt to the point that it was almost uneatable. Despite these issues, there are things that you must absolutely try here. The lobster and shrimp ravioli and the crab cakes are delicious! Highlights every time!

Always wanted to try this bistro as I heard many good reviews. We drove down from Vancouver, BC for the weekend and made a Rez 2 weeks prior to celebrate our 4th anniversary w my wife. Ordered our applies shrimp ravioli & French onion soup(white version). — French Onion Soup was tasty and not overly salty. — Shrimp Ravioli w a lobster sauce was thin and soft and really delicious. Entrees: We ordered Tiger Prawns w Thai Coconut curry & Duck Breast w Cherry Reduction Sauce. — Tiger Prawns were cooked to perfection and not skimmed on portion. The sauce was rich and spicy to perk up your taste buds. — Duck Breast, well I made a mistake to not stating how I’d like the breast cooked. Usually I prefer it rare to med rare. But it came well done and I was a bit wary bout the texture and taste. Much to my surprise it tasted wonderful. The texture was still soft as if it was cooked under done. It’s definitely highly recommended!

After living in Kirkland for years, I finally got around to check out Lynn’s for Seattle Restaurant week with three of my girlfriends last month. I started with the French Onion Soup, then had the Crab Cakes, then everyone at the table ordered a different desert so we could all share. The soup was good, but the crab cakes were outstanding! All deserts were very rich and tasty as well. I could not believe we were getting all of this food for $ 25 — what a steal. Service was attentive but not over bearing. We had a lovely evening, I would go back for sure and pay full price for the food. I’m sad I didn’t go to this little gem sooner.

Definitely a great find for restaurant week! Glad that I had the chance to split some of the appetizers and desserts with my friends. I ordered the foie gras, rib eye and napoleon for myself and they all struck the right cord Foie Grais — 5⁄5. Exactly what you’d expect, delicious. French Onion Soup — 3⁄5. Heard great things about it, but just hit average for me. It’s worth noting that I’m not really a soup fan, so that probably plays a role here. Rib eye — 5⁄5. Asked for black and blue, but got rare(not a complaint, just an observation). Wasn’t a problem for me since I typically ask for black and blue so that I can make sure my meat is rare. Simple, but delicious. Napoleon(5⁄5), chocolate mousse(3⁄5 — too rich for me), crème caramel(4⁄5)

I really want to like this place. I came here for restaurant week. The service was great as our server introduced the menu with great enthusiasm. He told my friend that the crab cakes were the best that he has had. Also he loved the crème brûlée. I got the foie gras mousse, the pork belly, and the crème brûlée. My friend got the French onion soup, the crab cakes, and the berry Napoleon. The food was fine. The flavors are fairly classic. The entrees were served with the same vegetable and potatoe gratin sides. Perhaps it’s just my preference, but I really much prefer a restaurant that pays attention to differentiate the sides based on the protein. I suppose that may be too much to ask for a neighborhood bistro. The restaurant was packed with people, so it must be doing something right. Nevertheless, I don’t think it’s worth a trip to Kirkland just to eat at Lynn’s.

A group of 12 just dined here for the first time on Friday. Free street parking can be found. Discover is an accepted form of payment. A 20% gratuity is automatically added to parties of 6+. This restaurant is small and intimate. The ambiance is geared more towards romantic dining with dim lighting, table top candles, white table cloths and low conversations. Complimentary rolls and butter are provided to nibble on while perusing the menu. For my drink I ordered a glass of CMS Hedges red blend for $ 7(however I was charged $ 8. Not sure why since the menu clearly shows $ 7.) My wife ordered a glass of Red Hook ESB for $ 5. Lynn’s offers a full bar if mixed drinks is ones preference. For our meals we shared the soup of the day(Mushroom and Barley) for $ 8. I like mushrooms and really enjoyed this tasty pureed soup. My wife doesn’t care for mushrooms so of course she wasn’t a fan of this soup. For my meal I ordered the Shrimp Ravioli for $ 19: served with a Lobster sauce, mushrooms, prawns, and Parmesan cheese. I received about 5 ravioli’s and 1 prawn. The sauce was a bit on the sweet side for my tastes and I think the price was a bit steep for the 5 ravioli’s. I wouldn’t order this dish again. My wife ordered the Sauté Chicken for $ 20: a full breast(two half breasts) served in a red wine mushroom sauce atop a small mound of mashed potatoes. A wonderful array of vegetables(assorted squash, zucchini and mushrooms) also adorned her chicken. This dish was absolutely delectable. I found myself eating almost all of my wife’s meal. I would definitely order this dish in the future. The staff was friendly and attentive. If in a rush, this restaurant may not be for you. Thank you Lynn’s Bistro for your warm welcome and yummy food.

Excellent french food! Lynn’s Bistro is a hidden gem in downtown Kirkland. I would have never thought to come here if it wasn’t for a friend’s referral. PROS: Ambiance: It is a rather small establishment seating about 40 people at once. The restaurant is furnished with clean white tablecloths, fresh flowers and low lit candles giving it a relaxing and soothing atmosphere. Service: I’ve been here quite a few times and the service has always been consistency good. We are always greeted right away. Everyone is very friendly and attentive. The food: They offer a 3 course prefixed meal for $ 35 or $ 45 which is very affordable for the quality and quantity of food. Everything is also offered a la carte. I always dine in during dinner time so i am not familiar with the brunch/lunch menu. To start us off, fresh baked bread is served with a butter. Not your typically dinner roll but rather similar to a biscuit. I always try to not fill up on bread and butter but it’s so fresh that i can’t help myself. I usually order the french onion soup as a starter. It always comes out super hot-straight from the oven(which i love). With just the right amount of cheese slightly charred on the outside giving it a little crunch as you dig into it. The broth is very tasty, not too strong but not too bland. For my main course i usually order the crab cakes. This is not your typical crab cake with bread crumbs or any other fillings. Every bite is filled with chunks of fresh dungeness crab meat topped off with a lobster sauce. This is probably the BEST, richest, freshest and filling crab cake I’ve ever had. I highly recommend trying the crab cakes! My husband usually orders the rib eye steak with Roquefort Cabernet sauce. The steak is always prepared exactly how he asks for(medium-rare). I always try to sneak a bite of my husbands food. The sauce is very rich which balances well with the marbling of the tenderized meat. Each entrée is served with a side of mixed veggies and scalloped potatoes. The potatoes are very delicious, thinly sliced and not over powering with the cheese. For desert I usually order the crème brûlée and my husband orders the chocolate mousse cake. I am a huge fan of crème brûlée. There’s a tiny hint of orange to the custard which gives it a kick to each bite. As for a chocolate mousse cake, i thought it was a little rich but we ordered a side of vanilla ice cream to balance it off. CONS: I can’t think of anything negative to say but street parking can be hard to find. TIPS: Wait time can be long since it’s a smaller restaurant. Make reservations ahead of time!

This French restaurant deserves five starts because the experience as a whole was fantastic. As we first walked in I noticed the chef noticed us immediately. This showed me that the chef is extremely aware of her guests arrival as soon as they step foot into the establishment. The service was also friendly and attentive. The server also took the time to bring our table an extra chair for our purses and took a picture with us while engaging in conversation. The impressive part: for the entire restaurant there is only one chef. Yet, the food came out quickly and was neither over or undercooked, and maintained it’s warm temperature throughout every bite.

The food is undoubtably good here HOWEVER, the service is way too slow. We came in on a Wednesday night 7:45ish and missed a 9:00pm movie. The menu is geared towards prix fix and is comprised of 3 course for $ 35 or $ 45. There are a la carte items but for the biggest bang you’d go for the set menu. We had the shrimp ravioli, which was arguably the best dish, french onion soup, ribeye, crab cakes and desserts. Everything was rich, although heavy at times, but generally yummy. Just expect the slow service and you’ll be okay.

I’ve walked by the unassuming storefront of this place multiple times. It was only through Unilocal that I discovered this hidden gem in DT Kirkland. It’s a moderately sized establishment that can fit a good 40 people or so. Came here with a party of 10 for a friend’s birthday dinner. Pretty nice french dining ambiance. Slightly low light with candle lit tables. Fairly intimate. First of all, the service here is excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable servers with good recommendations. Throughout the night they accommodated our every whim and fancy: filling our water, adding an extra person to the end of the table, serving a cake we brought in with candles, sending back steaks, and giving us a discount to the fixed price menu because we were too full to order dessert. They were a little busy with only 2 waiters, but they worked hard and earned it. On to the food. First thing they deliver is a basketful of complimentary fresh bread loaves with fancy swirls of butter. Just from the fresh whiff of the bread you can tell they are going to be good. The bread has a nice crunchy crust, but soft fluffy insides. The butter is pretty light on flavor, if you want you can add some extra salt. But the butter makes the texture of the bun all the more soft and smooth. Excellent buns. Also goes well with the soup. Don’t be afraid to ask for more. They are good. The french onion soup wasn’t bad, but not particularly outstanding to me. Soup was quite light on flavor, and there was a huge dose of melted cheese, a little too much for me. The curry tiger prawns are somewhat sweet and tangy. Pretty good, but a touch expensive at $ 24 for 7. You can order one crab cake + prawn as an appetizer a la carte. Or get the crab cakes entrée which has 2. They don’t look like much, but they are seriously packed with real crab meat. No filler! The lobster sauce with it makes the rich, creamy crab cakes pack a wallop of delightful flavor. These are probably best crabcakes I’ve had in Seattle, easily a 5 stars by themselves. They probably have a fair bit of butter or stuff, because they are quite heavy even though there are just 2 of them. We also got the rib eye. We ordered them medium-rare but they were medium-well-done when we got them! They serve all the food on oven heated plates that are super hot. It keeps the food hot for longer, which is probably necessary when trying to serve all the dishes the same time for a group of 10 people. Likely the hot plates continued cooking the steaks for a while. Anyways when we mentioned it to the waiters, they took back the steaks and sent back new ones that were a good medium-rare. The steak was a solid juicy rib eye. The cheesy Roquefort cabernet sauce they put on top of the steak was slightly overpowering though, might be better to get the sauce on the side so you can taste more of the meat. Overall excellent service, solid food and a great place to have an intimate date. Would come back just to have the crabcakes too.
