Yep… I did it… Botox. Kim is great at advising where and how much to use… especially since I’m not looking for a frozen face. Several of my friends now visit her too… all of us are grateful of her talent.

I went to Kim to help with sun spots and freckles all over my face as a result from baking in the sun all through out high school. I’ve had two treatments there(IPL laser and chemical peel) and I will never go anywhere else From the first appointment Kim is very nice and honest. She actually told me I didn’t need to do a drastic all over laser treatment because I didn’t need it and it was more expensive. So we did spot treatments with the laser which was very reasonable. Also she does have her own products that shell mention to you but tell you home remedies you can use instead of. Kim is not a sales person trying to make you buy her products and when describing a the process of the procedure and what to expect afterwards was very accurate. As for my second treatment which was a chemical peel, I decided to spend the money and buy her post procedure kit. I must say, home remedies do work, but not as well as the post procedure kit. It’s specifically designed for your skin after these kinds of treatments and is helping my skin heal nicely. I, like many people, am very precise when picking a skin care specialist for face treatments so I am letting you know that Kim is a good person to go to!

As a former east side commuter living in West Seattle, there was only one thing that would get me to cross a bridge. That was going to see Dr. Diane Chiu in Bellevue, who is fabulous, btw. But now, there are two reasons I will drive to the east side: Dr. Chiu and Shelly. Let’s start with the office. Shelly & Kim’s office sits in a nice area of Kirkland. It’s conveniently located in a shopping center with a Starbucks and some cute looking stores I’ll have to check out next time I go back. Their actual office is cozy, yet immaculate. Then, let’s talk about Shelly and Kim. They are both incredibly warm and friendly. Spending the hour with Shelly was like having coffee or lunch with one of my girlfriends. She’s super-personable and fun. She made me feel completely at ease. Now, let’s talk about laser hair removal. I tried laser hair removal once years ago and found it so excruciating, I was only able to laser one armpit, one time. I’m a long distance runner and a crossfit-er and this was the most painful experience of my life. I was terrified about trying it again until my boss told me about Shelly and her experience with lhr. Much to my delight, the brazilian laser hair removal treatment was nearly painless. If waxing is an 8 on the scale of 1 – 10, I’d say this is a 4. It was not nearly as bad as I thought. I’m totally hooked and will be back. Fortunately for Shelly, I’m Italian, so I’ll have lots of hair to laser over the coming months and years. If you are on the fence about laser hair removal, I hope this review gets you off the fence and into Shelly’s office!

Anyone who reads my reviews knows I am a beauty junkie and a reluctant yet regular Brazilian waxer. After years of those ‘every six week’ appointments, and the pain-pain-pain I decided it was about time I got lasered. Getting a Brazilian laser seemed awfully indulgent: all the effort for something that is rarely seen. Yet any regular waxer knows it only looks ‘perfect’ for a short period of time before the whole hair growth cycle starts over and the whole thing looks mangy and neglected. Shelly’s clinic is small and tucked away, not my usual speed. I tend to go for the overdone oh-la-la spots. But don’t be fooled– this is top notch service wrapped in a demure package. When Shelly is not running her own gig she works at one of the top medi-spas around, so I knew I wasn’t missing any expertise, and the price– whooo-eeee… it’s a bargain. I arrived to the appointment scared: I had read plenty about laser hair removal on the internet and feared it would hurt more than a wax; which is frankly hard to imagine. But when the procedure started I actually thought we hadn’t begun… it was. truly. nearly painless. Really. And then I felt mad: all those years of pain and money for hair that grew back and now I’m getting permanent hair removal with nearly zero pain, and a price that will pay itself back in a year. Any woman who is still waxing is a fool– get in there. Run. And of course I couldn’t stop there; I had to indulge in a facial too. And am headed back to remove some hyper-pigmentation on my cleavage. I swear if she did face-lifts I’d go there too. In short: it’s a hidden gem. Small, unpretentious, tucked out of the way and a bargain beyond what you will find anywhere. Enjoy.

I am an esthetician with the problem of excess facial hair. Ever since Kimberly set up shop in Kirkland, I have enjoyed her laser hair reduction services. She’s very reasonably priced, honest, educates her clients, has a lovely personality, has great professional skincare, is clearly skilled & educated and really cares about her clients. I ALWAYS refer my clients to Kimberly Thompson, R.N. at Renew. She rocks! Oh, and esthetically — the room where her business is located in the Park Lane Professional Suites is stylish, quaint, sanitary & welcoming. Kim’s services are well worth the money and the peace of mind. Problem solved!

I have been seeing Shelly for several years for facials, IPL’s and she is amazing. I don’t know if there is anyone out there that can give a better facial than Shelly. Kim is the best at Botox, she is honest about what you need and has an art to make you look many years younger. I highly recommend both Shelly and Kim for any procedures you will have done. They also reasonably priced!
